GOSHEN (NEW YORK): Authorities say a former New York lady simulated to have terminal cancer so she could have a intemperate marriage reception and honeymoon.

The Times Herald-Record reports an Orange County Grand jury has charged 25-year-old Jessica Vega with grand larceny and scheme to defraud. According to a indictment, Vega supposed thousands of dollars in donated services and products after claiming in 2010 which she was failing of leukemia. The journal ran a story upon Vega's marriage wish.

She tied together Michael O'Connell in May 2010 and a couple outlayed their honeymoon in Aruba. Four months later, O'Connell told a journal which Vega was faking a illness. The couple divorced over a incident, and O'Connell moved to Virginia. Vega after assimilated him.

They have dual children.

Vega was arraigned final Friday and pleaded not guilty. She's jailed upon USD 10,000 bail.
