Budget 2013: Both Pakatan and Barisan Should Focus on Job Creation
At present, some-more than 30% of graduates have been unemployed due to multiform reasons. Prospective employers opine which a internal graduates lacked a required communication skills as well as English language proficiency. Some blame a perspective as well as extreme arrangement demand.
Whatever a reasons, there have been multiform issues which contingency be addressed prior to a subsidy cake grows bigger in a nearby future.
The Economist reported which a global manage to buy would have to emanate 600 million jobs over a subsequent 8 years. A series of developed economies such as Japan, South Korea as well as China have been confronting strident competition for jobs even yet their respective manage to buy is still growing.
Malaysia's complaint is no different. We have been not formulating sufficient jobs during a top of a worth chain to accommodate sufficient believe workers. The presence of some-more than 2 million low learned migrant workers is a critical symptom of a miss of will to enhance quality as well as adopt worth combined processes.
The manage to buy contingency start seeking during a possibility of employing internal workers to fill their manpower need. The supervision should concentration upon providing benefit as well as incentive to companies employing some-more internal workers instead of being overly contingent upon cheap foreign labour. With Indonesia's manage to buy growing, there is starting to be a necessity of workers in a building a w! hole as well as plantations sectors. We need to prepare for a eventuality. The supervision needs to find out why locals shunned working in these sectors. Retail as well as F&B have been additionally increasingly contingent upon foreign workers.
According to a report, a "job engines" of a past two centuries were customarily brand brand new technologies, such as a steam engine, electricity, brand brand new seed varieties, or brand brand new types of manufacturing. Growth was additionally driven by some-more trade, simpler transport, instant communications, as well as improved order of law.
What's Malaysia brand brand new "job engines"? Apart from a costly LRT extension, what else has been planned to provide affordable as well as fit open ride to a people?
Malaysia's export oriented manage to buy is additionally confronting evident risk subsequent year from a slack in a normal export markets : US as well as Europe. Hence, less jobs have been starting to be created in a subsequent year or so. What is a supervision starting to do to ensure which a manage to buy go upon to emanate jobs?
Are we rebuilt for a change in a mercantile make up if Malaysia is relocating divided from low cost to worth combined economy? Is a preparation system capable of producing sufficient learned as well as trained graduates to offer believe manage to buy needs?
There have been as well most answers which need a courtesy of both coalitions determined to oversee a country in GE 13.
However, an diseased as well as rarely personalised/abusive politicking out of a way. Politicians should concentration upon process contestation as well as tell us what can they do to offer us.

Motion on gun-toting rep shot down, Pakatan livid
The Negri Sembilan state assembly yesterday deserted puncture motions to discuss an claim which a BN state assemblyperson had dissipated a firearm as well as which unwashed H2O was being piped to 3 towns.
Pakatan Rakyat is up in arms over a rejection, claiming which orator Razak Mansor foul invoked a stipulation in a Standing Order to perplex a dual puncture motions.
According to opposition personality Anthony Loke(left), a orator invoked Section 16 of a Standing Orders which settled which a motions indispensable half a assemblypersons present in sequence to be accepted.
A vote was called as well as a results saw all fifteen from a Pakatan dais choosing by casting votes for a motions as well as nineteen from a BN dais choosing by casting votes opposite them.
"That means i! n sequence which a puncture motions can be tabled as well as discussed, at least seventeen state assemblypersons contingency vote to await a puncture motions.
"We in Pakatan all voted for a motions but we have only fifteen state assemblypersons, while all a superfluous nineteen BN state assemblypersons voted opposite a motions," pronounced Loke at a press discussion after a sitting.
Cover-up?
He pronounced which BN had voted opposite a motions since they were trying to cover up a firearm situation as well as were ignoring a plight of a residents faced with tainted H2O supply.
Loke had filed an puncture suit to impute a state assemblyperson to a rights as well as privileges committee over allegations which he had dissipated his firearms licence.
"All state assemblypersons have a payoff to have a firearm. He might have dissipated a weapon. I didn't contend he is guilty. I'm merely requesting for an investigation since if it was abuse, a looseness can be withdrawn,&! quot; he ! said.
On Sept 17, Loke had told a press which there could be a cover-up attempt upon a sharpened but a police havedenied this. Details of a alleged sharpened are really sketchy.
At a same time, Loke pronounced he had made a make a difference open in a interest of fairness since a police were probing Anwar Ibrahim's bodyguard forflashing his pistolin public.
The alternative puncture suit was tabled by Lukut state assemblyperson Chai Tong Chai, from PKR, upon a foul-smelling H2O being piped to residents in Chuah, Bukit Pelanduk as well as Lukut for dual months. Read More @ Source

Moral Compact gells Pakatan Rakyat though Hudud?
by Dr. Bridget Welsh@www.themalaysianinsider.com
What keeps a Malaysian antithesis Pakatan Rakyat (People's Alliance) together? The discerning answer mostly given is a usual poke of domestic power.
While power frames a relationships in between three disparate domestic parties Islamist PAS, secular-committed Democratic Action Party as well as a powerful reform-oriented PKR of Mr Anwar Ibrahim it is not a glue of a antithesis alliance. Were this a case, PAS would have left a bloc when UMNO floated a offer of fasten a supervision in 2008 as well as heated jockeying took place inside of PAS.
The answer lies in a three parties' usual dignified compact. Pakatan Rakyat is an fondness of profoundly opposite backgrounds, with secularists, theocrats, conservatives as well as progressives operative together. In a universe wracked with tensions over religion as well as misunderstandings, Malaysia's antithesis stands out in bucking general trends of difference.
Corruption in Everyday Life
Three usual beliefs connect a Opposition together. The initial is deep regard with autochthonous corruption. The complaint of crime is not new, as well as whilst Malaysia's practices have been assessed upon top of most in Asia, including Indonesia, what has turn increasingly strong is which it has crossed a line of acceptability for most Malaysians.
Survey results show which an overwhelming majority perspective their officials as corrupt as well as hold which their officials do not abide by a law.
Scandal after scandal, from a National Feedlot Corporation as well as Scorpene, to a recent revelations about a prolongation of a Ampang LRT, has inundated citizens. While there have been most polite servants who work tough to broach services, there have been pressures inside of a complement to conform to rapacious practices.
Malaysian crime was primarily strong between a chosen by a practice of "money politics". But some-more as well as more, it is extending in to everyday issues such as school fees, crime impediment as well as service provision.
Most simple food items, such as sugar as well as rice, have been scored equally to non-transparent deals of politically-aligned businessmen, as have been bigger equipment such as cars by Approved Permit looseness allocations.
These weaknesses in governance share a usual dignified thread a privileged minority using a complement to their advantage, as well as this is spiteful a majority as well as widening inequality.
Fairness as well as a Playing Field
This leads to a second usual element fairness. The three domestic parties any have a opposite take upon what is fair, though there have been areas of similarity: Namely, everyone should have a chair during a table; everyone should be treated fairly in a court of law; as well as amicable as well as mercantile inequalities should be minimised.
This usual perspective of integrity extends in to a snub over astray legal decisions as well as entrenched concerns about misery as well as displacement of most Malaysians.
Pakatan's source of citizenship has developed in to a s! ingle in which all Malaysians have been exactly which Malaysians. It is a complicated perspective of citizenship, in which everyone has rights as well as a supervision is to reply to a people, not a alternative approach round.
The Opposition's dignified compress is also driven by a mutual interest in expanding approved governance to turn a domestic personification field. Calls for a dismissal of a Internal Security Act (which was dangling as well as replaced by a some-more benign though less tested Security Offences Act progressing this year), electoral reform, freedoms of assembly, religion as well as speech, between alternative things, all tumble underneath a powerful of expanding domestic space as well as rights.
Ever given a reformasi movement of 1999, antithesis activists have joined forces in highlighting approved deficits as well as showcasing reasons for an expansion of democracy. Each criticism as well as domestic crisis has brought a antithesis together from BERSIH 1.0 in 2007, to a defections as well as successive takeover of a Perak state supervision in 2009. The bonds forged by protesting together have been strong.
Since 2008, there have been significant efforts to rupture a Opposition's dignified compress upon multiple fronts. The charges of sodomy as well as crime have been scored equally to attempts to disprove antithesis leader Anwar Ibrahim as well as lift doubts about his dignified calibre to lead. The key of issues such as lesbian, gay, bisexual, transsexual (LGBT) rights puts vigour upon a attribute in between a liberals as well as others inside of a Pakatan Rakyat.
The sensitive "Allah" emanate which rose to a fore in 2010 tested a Islamists' position. The push for Malay rights underneath a rubric "Ketuanan Melayu"! reflect s efforts to strengthen ethnic supremacy over usual amiability as well as equality, to reimpose a amicable stipulate of a past.
Each of these issues has not broken a ties in between a antithesis actors, as well as it is in partial due to a prominence of a underlying beliefs which move them together.
Hudud: A Challenge for a Opposition
This is not a dignified compress without problems, however. The biggest plea for a Opposition lies within. It has to do with an emanate being negotiated throughout a Muslim world: The place as well as form of Islamic law, particularly hudud.
Globally, Islamist domestic parties from AKP in Turkey to a Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt have been grappling with how to move about Islamic governance whilst maintaining rights. For liberals, a key of measures such as hudud violates a usual approved ideals, as there stays low mistrust of Islamists in office.
For secularists, hudud violates their perspective of governance. Doubts endure in some quarters about either a Islamists will go upon to hold to a ideals in office, respect opposite eremite rights and, importantly, endure disproportion inside of their own community.
Detractors point to Algeria as well as Iran as testimony to a intensity defilement of trust. Others some-more open-minded prominence a negotiated paths of Turkey as well as Morocco.
For Malaysia, a hudud emanate stays upon a agenda, unused as well as unlikely to be so prior to polls. In open remarks, Mr Anwar has stressed a centrality of dialogue as well as element of consensus. There appears to be a operative agreement to determine to disagree.
Among Islamists there has been a global trend towards larger accommodation of disproportion as well as an high regard of constitutiona! l framew orks for governance.
Many in a PAS old guard, nevertheless, have been scored equally to a prophesy of a eremite theocracy which is increasingly apropos outmoded, even in Egypt where a President comes from a single of a historically strongest advocates of these measures, a Muslim Brotherhood.
Islamists a universe over have been having to reprioritise their beliefs in sequence to govern societies, as well as PAS will have to as well. What is important is which it will need to do this upon its own terms, rsther than than reply to ultimatums from allies as well as opponents alike.
Hudud will remain salient to this campaign, since during its core, it puts vigour upon Malaysia's Opposition to reassess, reaffirm as well as strengthen their usual dignified priorities. It is this usual belligerent however, which is Pakatan's dignified compress as well as for right away it is upon organisation ground. Today

At slightest beliau tidak bohong.
Baru 3 tahun, Mat Sabu dah lupa.

This is a initial time which a 69-year-old Ling has practical for a illustration be sent to a AG's Chambers.

His sworn statement was in contrariety to Dr Mahathir's sworn statement yesterday as well as today, where a former premier told a justice which tohis understanding, RM25 was a money price.
Mok additionally concluded with Manoj which a discounted money flow method was a mode he had used to calculate as well as which thespecial valueof RM21 is already fixed.

Mok:Yes
Manoj:If RM25 psf is agreed, a amount is RM1.088 billion
Mok:Yes but which does not include interests.
Manoj:The RM25 psf does include interest?
Mok:No
Manoj:Do we determine which a strange cost of a land is RM14.2 psf as well as which a calculation has seductiveness cost in them.
Mok:I do not agree.
Upon re-examination by counsel Yeoh Cho Keong, Mok concluded which his calculation is consistent with which of JPPH. Read More @ Source

Naughty Numbers: Power In Southeast Asia
October 10, 2012
Naughty Numbers: Power In Southeast Asia*
Numbers have played an critical role in Southeast Asia. States' make make use of of of numbers in sold has had the poignant stroke upon politics as good as society. It is critical to recognise that numbers can have domestic utility, generally when presented in demeanour that creates the dichotomous division. In this piece you will explore the range of issues in that numbers have been used by supervision to exercise their control over their citizens.
The sequence of the population in to dual graphic segments, or 'binaries', for e.g. the rebuilt vs. the uneducated or indigenous vs. migrant. Governments can effectively influence the ways in that adults perspective themselves as good as others as good as the way in that policy is constructed as good as implemented.
State-owned ride companies might systematise three classes of passenger seating, with initial difficulty being the most expensive. This form of sequence decides who should enjoy what line as good as services, as good as might inspire those who cannot afford initial difficulty to work harder. The numbers actually reflects amicable stratification, the multiplication of adults in to dual groups of people inside of the society, such as the tertiary- rebuilt or the educational elites as good as the non-tertiary rebuilt or non-academic elites, stressing the group that wields power.
These binaries have been used by states to legitimise their energy over people, in outcome they concede for the biased definitions of good as good as bad depending upon the bulletin of sold regimes. Binaries fail to yield the nuanced perspective o! f the em anate during hand. Their make make use of of dichotomises respondents in to the 'haves' as good as 'have-nots', providing the graphic black-and-white distinction, when most issues have been in actuality coloured grey. This ambiguity can lead to domestic chaos. Thailand's domestic conflict has been the prime e.g. of the binary in between red as good as yellow shirts.
A historical nonetheless still very relevant e.g. of binary in Southeast Middle East is the concept of Zomia addressed by James Scott, in that Upland as good as Lowland populations have been socially, politically as good as economically organised in very different ways. Official supervision interpretation collection reduces issues of temperament to the group of binaries, through formulating overpower as the equates to of amicable control. As an example, the choice in between male as good as womanlike in central interpretation can overpower the voices of those who identify outward of the gender binary. In turn, this can lead to the silencing of gender odd issues in domestic (and social) discourse.
Similar to make make use of of of the binaries, censuses as good as supervision census data have been critical tools of the supervision in consolidating as good as exercising power. Censuses have been used by governments to categorise, report upon as good as simulate their populations. The ensuing census data either they simulate taxation, possibilities for troops service, sacrament or gender binaries can be analysed or manipulated by governments to connect their energy as good as monopolise their bulletin setting capabilities.
A Southeast Asian e.g. of this make make use of of of census can be seen in the repudiation of Animism as the eremite difficulty in the Burmese supervision census. This not only excludes those who use such ideology though also reduces the stress as good as legitimacy of Animism as the belief system.
Government census data have been used to support the regime in last what aspects of the state h! ave been faring really bad or well. For instance, governments might try to identify what aspects of rural hold up have been not you do so good as good as try to repair them. On the other hand, the supervision might try to manipulate census data to keep itself in power. An critical e.g. is the Suharto government's make make use of of of mercantile census data to capture foreign direct investment as good as capture larger certitude from the public.
Government census data have been also used during elections to bring the public's attention to key issues (e.g. supervision debt). As you can assimilate from the government's make make use of of of census as good as central statistics, numbers yield good entrance to the lives as good as thoughts of the citizens, that can subsequently be used to connect as good as expand the government's own power.
There have been other ways in that numbers have been used. In Southeast Asia, dates paint the accumulation of absolute amicable constructs, in particular, those surrounding eremite practice. The widespread inlet of superstitious ideology equates to that both the population as good as the state pull upon portentous dates to time poignant domestic activity. For the Burmese troops junta, the timing of the shift the capital from Yangon to Napyidaw was made during 6:37am upon Novermber 6, 2005, the date that was deliberate astrologically auspicious.
Another e.g. of domestic wake up centred upon portentous dates can be seen in Thailand. Thailand has the history injured by domestic coups, both failed as good as successful. This has in essence altered the Thai domestic landscape by formulating conditions for rebellion. In particular, this has been seen in the successful coups of 1991 as good as 2006). The arrogance of portentous dates in propinquity to domestic fighting back im! bues res istant forces with the certainty to govern the coup. Along with certainty inside of the rebellion, theauspiciousdates also lead to certainty from the population. Thereby, the far-reaching acceptance of portentous dates allowed for successful coups where most had been formerly attempted.
Auspicious dates have been of stress inside of Southeast Middle East since of their make make use of of in domestic activity. Such dates have been utilised not only by statute powers though also by resistant forces. New Mandala

Farish A. Noor on ASEAN Community in 2015
October 8, 2012
www.nst.com.my
Farish A. Noor upon ASEAN Community in 2015
A COMMON DESTINY: All in ASEAN, generally Malaysians as good as Indonesians, need to brand usual goals which will move us closer together
WE have been staid upon a margin of a monumental change which will shape the destinies of millions of Southeast Asians in a generations to come.
In 2015, a ASEAN Community will be upon us, bringing a countries of Southeast Asia even closer. And to accelerate this process, a segment has witnessed some-more intra-ASEAN transport than ever, interjection to a creation of a pan-ASEAN communications infrastructure in a form of cheaper airline travel, some-more roads, railways as good as bridges which connect, rsther than than divide, a nations.
As you demeanour to a nearby future as good as expect a changes which will invariably arise, it is not startling if some ASEAN adults wonder about what will happen to their particular national identities.
All around a region, you see a climb of hyper-nationalism as good as a ascendancy of some politicians who still retain a idea which their nation is improved than others, some-more deserving, nobler, loftier as good as some-more superior. We additionally see which some of a discouraging obstacles to closer team-work dawdle in between us, in a form of misapprehension as good as misunderstandings about "cultural theft", "hidden agendas" as good as so on.
Nowhere is this some-more evident than in a formidable as good as challenging attribute in between Malaysia as good as Indonesia, dual countries which sojourn tighten by trait of a usual story as good as geographical proximity.
Malaysia as good as Indonesia sojourn a closest as good as oldest civ! ilisatio nal neighbours to any other, yet it is unhappy as good as ironic to note which in between a younger era of Malaysians as good as Indonesians, there is less in usual than ever before, as good as which they sojourn jointly undeveloped of any other's countries. This should not be a case, for if there is any nation which Malaysians should be tighten to as good as during home in, it ought to be Indonesia as good as clamp versa.
The reasons why this order remains have been obvious as they have been numerous: It includes a rsther than astigmatic way in which Malaysians as good as Indonesians have been taught about any alternative during school, from an early age.
Our story books go upon to discuss it a stories of a nations from a slight patriotic perspective, unaware a actuality which prolonged prior to "Malaysia" as good as "Indonesia" emerged as nations, a peoples of a archipelago were already engaged in trade, movement as good as allotment for hundreds of years.
Then there is a media which has, of late, played a role in rousing tempers as good as highlighting differences rsther than than similarities, goading a some-more emotional in between us to sound a wail of patriotism when you ought to have been focusing upon usual goals as good as long-term aspirations instead.
Notwithstanding these differences, it cannot be denied which ASEAN's expansion will go upon in any case of whatever petty differences might arise in between a member states, as good as it is with which in thoughts which like-minded Malaysians as good as Indonesians need to brand a usual points of interests as good as goals which will inspire a centripetal, rsther than than centrifugal, forces which will move a countries closer together.
As you get closer to 2015, it is timely for both Malaysia as good as Indones! ia to de meanour during how a younger era of both countries view a rest of ASEAN, as good as their closest neighbours. Though it is doubtful which you will ever see a usual story text for ASEAN, any as good as any nation can do a partial by promoting some-more believe about alternative ASEAN countries in between a young.
During a brand new trip to Myanmar, we was pleasantly astounded to discover which most immature Myanmar students have been in favour of ASEAN integration, as good as which their general believe of Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, etc, was high.
How unhappy which a same cannot be pronounced about a younger era of countries like Malaysia as good as Indonesia, who were a founders of ASEAN itself. Could it be which in between a first countries of ASEAN, a judgment of ASEAN has been taken for postulated for too long, as good as turn staid as a result?
Linked to this need to teach ourselves some-more about a closest neighbours has to be a realization which a economic-financial landscape of Southeast Asia will additionally be changing in a years to come, faster than you realise. With simpler movement of people comes simpler movement of collateral as well.
Already across a ASEAN region, you see ASEAN countries investing in manufacturing, blurb as good as residential capital, etc, in alternative countries. Underlying this pattern of intra-ASEAN investment is a realization which any ASEAN nation needs to develop an external economy too, to variegate a investment net as good as to find as most trading as good as investment partners as possible.
All of this points to a presentation of what will be a brand new pan-ASEAN community done up of ASEAN adults who will be improved continuous than ever before.
In a lifetime, you will see a climb of this pan-ASEAN global citizen. For a subsequent era of Malaysians as good as Indonesians (and alternative ASEANn citizens) who have been savvy, talented, socially mobile as good as desirous will find his or her livelihood not ! usually in his own nation but additionally in a rest of ASEAN. The days when a Malaysian would study in Malaysia or Indonesia, work, settle, as good as retire in his nation will soon be over.
The subsequent era of ASEAN entrepreneurs as good as skilled workers will be born in one country, but might be prepared in another, eventually work in multiform others, as good as might finish up settling in multiform countries in a end. ASEAN will turn a usual homeland for a subsequent era of ASEAN adults but usually if you work right away to open up a event structures for this to turn a being for them.
It is with this thought in thoughts which we hope Malaysia, Indonesia as good as a alternative countries of ASEAN will step forward boldly as good as rise above as good as over a rhetoric of slight nationalism.
It cannot be denied which patriotism was an critical mobilising force in a 1920s as good as 1930s, when it served as a springboard for contingent independence as good as a finish of colonialism. But it has additionally bequeathed us a legacy of nation-states which sojourn trapped in jingoist narratives which have been slight as good as inward-looking.
As a segment moves to a centre of a theatre of geo-politics (as brand new flare-ups in a South China Sea have amply demonstrated) a clarity of homeliness, usual identity as good as a usual future is needed.
Whatever problems as good as misunderstandings which might have arisen in between alternative ASEAN countries in a past such as in between Malaysia as good as Indonesia need to be transcended for a sake of a bigger picture, as good as a future of ASEAN where any nation will need a neighbours some-more than ever before.

CILI KASI TARUK! AIAP LA TONY PUAKA NI KALAU NAK DIBANDING DENGAN TUN M? MESTI BACA
