Panas! PEMBANGKANG DALANG GEJALA HINA INSTITUSI RAJA MELAYU

Pendakwaan juruukur bahan, Ahmad Abd Jalil atas dua pertuduhan menghina Sultan Johor Sultan Ibrahim menerusi laman sosial Facebook bukanlah satu kejutan mahupun suattu perkara baru.

Melakui blognya, uncleseekers.blogspot.com, Syed Abdullah bukan sahaja mengaibkan sultan malah turut membabitkan Tunku Mahkota Johor, pemimpin dan penjawat awam kerajaan Johor.

MIC snubs Najib-Hindraf talk

Denying which Najib has lost certainty in MIC, Palanivel claims which a people have been returning to MIC's fold.
PETALING JAYA: MIC boss G Palanivel was currently left unimpressed which Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has bypassed his party to proceed harsh supervision critic Hindraf upon a speak of issues plaguing a Indian community.
He additionally shunned a thought which such speak was a sign of a premier's deteriorating certainty upon MIC.
"Let it be inside of a PM as well as Hindraf. you do not be concerned about (PM's) confidence, MIC's support has increasing a lot among a public.
"I do not be concerned what a Hindraf as well as PM have been talking about. you am not going to interfere," he pronounced when met by reporters after a Deepavali jubilee here today.
Palanivel's comment came among an announcement done by Minister of Prime Minister Department Nazri Abdul Aziz upon Wednesday which Najib has invited Hindraf as well as alternative Indian groups for a discussion.
Yesterday, Hindraf cast aspersions upon a frankness of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak's invitation, saying which it could be associated to a general election. However it was peaceful to speak to a supervision for a sake of a Indian community.

Nurul Izzah's costly remarks

WORRYING STATEMENT: There is zero courageous or inspiring in espousing a merits of eremite leisure for Muslims in a context of Malaysia
Already, PKR -- a smallest celebration in Pakatan Rakyat -- is caught in a cross-fire in in between Parti Islam se-Malaysia (Pas) as well as a Democratic Action Party (DAP) over conflicting ideologies.
A. Jalil Hamid, NST
DATUK Seri Anwar Ibrahim's politician-daughter's matter over eremite leisure has not usually incited nonessential spotlight upon sacrament but, some-more importantly, how their celebration is being viewed by Muslim voters.
Anwar's new pronouncements upon a subject of Muslims as well as Islam have not helped a struggling Parti Keadilan Rakyat's Islamic agenda, during least in a eyes of their political rivals.
In his many new criticism in a British newspaper, Anwar seemed to determine with a Westerner's view which there is a problem with a essence of Muslims -- which they have been easily barbarous as well as emotional.
To a uninitiated, his inflammatory acknowledgement came following aroused greeting by Muslims from around a universe to a irreverent video scornful Islam.
In a talk published by The Scotsman, Anwar (whom it described as a complicated traditionalist) additionally "scorns a 'crazy' move by Malaysia's Ministry of Education to tell a guide upon how to mark if someone is a homosexual".
This is a same man who sensationally told a Wall Street Journal in January which he "supports all efforts to strengthen a security of Israel".
We know which a Palestinian emanate is something very close to a hearts of Muslims in Malaysia. Any dictated or unintended publicity of a Tel Aviv regime, which is a means of Pales! tinian s uffering, is a large no-no for Muslims.
Just after that, his celebration leaders in Penang had to apologise for a controversial K-pop opening by a organisation of sexily-clad dancers during a celebration dinner in Bertam, Kepala Batas, much to a embarrassment of their Pas counterparts.
Already, PKR -- a smallest celebration in Pakatan Rakyat -- is caught in a cross-fire in in between Parti Islam se-Malaysia (Pas) as well as a Democratic Action Party (DAP) over conflicting ideologies.
Pas, as you have been all aware, is pushing for hudud as well as an Islamic state, whilst a DAP is fighting for a secular state as well as better rights for non-Malays.
How Anwar is starting to balance these resisting final (and a squabble over electoral seats between them) forward of a entrance general election is anybody's guess.
But his immediate concern is to try to put out a fire which is distracted following impromptu remarks by his eldest daughter, Nurul Izzah, during a public forum in Petaling Jaya final week.
That comment, which won an acclaim from a audience as well as upset some Muslims, could divide Malay-Muslim voters as well as serve polarise Muslims as well as non-Muslims in this country.
No doubt there have been people who cheered her for her views. However, there is zero courageous or inspiring in espousing a merits of eremite leisure for Muslims in a context of Malaysia.
Any rebuttals in mainstream media opposite Nurul Izzah's comments should not be construed as waging a smear campaign opposite her. To be sure, she herself messed things up by perplexing to fool around to a gallery.
When Nurul Izzah, a first-time member of council for Lembah Pantai as well as until now a rising star in PKR, accepted a call in to speak, small did she realize her remarks would haunt her as well as her celebration for years.
More worryingly for her, this could be politically costly in her b! id to re tain her seat. But a repairs could be even bigger. For a PKR-led Selangor, a large pitch of Malay-Muslim votes in foster of Umno as well as Barisan Nasional could meant a loss of a prized state.
In a 2008 general election, Pakatan won 36 state seats opposite BN's twenty seats. Of that, PKR has fifteen as well as Umno 18.
To begin with, a PKR leadership is not which cohesive in Selangor. There have been two PKR camps in Selangor, with emissary boss Azmin Ali not saying eye-to-eye with celebration vice-president Nurul Izzah as well as Selangor Menteri Besar Tan Sri Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
Anwar is a so-called mercantile adviser for a Selangor state government. Sadly, there is no mercantile bulletin to speak of.
The state is additionally embroiled in vital issues, ranging from water supply to a controversial Talam as well as PKNS deals which have hurt typical people.
Pakatan leaders themselves have to be blamed if a people decide to spin their backs upon them. The tide could be irreversible.

Visualisation of the unseen

What we 'see' today, therefore, have been a origination of painters of 500-600 years ago who had a fertile mind as well as an uncontrollable imagination. They illusory all this in their brain as well as afterwards eliminated their thoughts to board and/or walls as well as ceilings.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
You have probably read a news of a 'appearance' of a Virgin Mary during a Sime Darby Medical Centre in Subang Jaya a couple of days ago. we find it utterly amusing which Christians all over a universe have 'seen' Jesus Christ and/or his mom 'appear' from time to time.
Actually, until about 500-600 years ago, Christians had no notion of what Jesus or Mary looked like. Then, during a Early Renaissance period in France from 1385-1520 as well as a High Renaissance period in Italy from 1475-1525, Christians began to visualise what they could not visualise before that.
The people who can be attributed (or blamed) for this would be a Renaissance painters such as Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci, Michelangelo di Lodovico Buonarroti Simoni, Hieronymus Bosch, Jacobus de Voragine, etc. (about 70-80 in all from all over Europe).
Some of their important paintings areThe Last Supperby Leonardo da Vinci,Lamentation of Christby Mantegna, Sistine Chapel roof by Michelangelo,The Descent from a Crossby Rogier outpost der Weyden,Flagellation of Christby Piero della Francesca,Isenheim Altarpieceby Matthias Grnewald,Melun Diptych(Virgin as well as Child Surrounded by Angels) by Jean Fouquet, as well as so on.
Basically, these painters of 500-600 years ago gave pope a visualisation of what God, Jesus, Mary, Satan, a Angels, etc., looked like. Before which there was no visualisa! tion of what could be deliberate 'divine beings'.
What we 'see' today, therefore, have been a origination of painters of 500-600 years ago who had a fertile mind as well as an uncontrollable imagination. They illusory all this in their brain as well as afterwards eliminated their thoughts to board and/or walls as well as ceilings.
Today, what we 'see' is what those people of 500-600 years ago 'saw'. But did they actually see all this or was this merely a figment of their imagination? we suspect my 'image' of Prophet Muhammad, King Arthur, Merlin a Magician, Robin Hood, etc., would be as correct as those Renaissance painters of 500-600 years ago.
If we was a painter (and we am not) as well as we was commissioned by a church to paint a walls as well as ceilings of cathedrals as well as churches, we would probably make use of a images next as my guide. The Virgin Mary would demeanour similar to a woman from her region as well as not similar to a Hollywood actress while Jesus would not be a tall, handsome, blue-eyed, blonde man though someone similar to Yasser Arafat, as he would most likely have looked like.
The mind is a really powerful thing as well as we can certainly be done to see what does not exist if we can condition a mind with centuries of brainwashing. we wonder how most of those painters were actually atheists who did not hold in God. Yet they could change us into seeing what they themselves did not hold in.

The Malays must wake up konon

The Malays contingency arise up konon! Podah! Everything wrong with Malaysia is a error of a Malays. The non-Malays have been small victims. You buggers deserve to be victims as good as we goal we will sojourn victims for an additional 100 years for your impiety of being traitors to a means behind in a 1980s which authorised a nation to decrease to a benefaction turn as good as for allowing Umno to order for 55 years.
THE CORRIDORS OF POWER
Raja Petra Kamarudin
we have not created anything over a final dual days given Mat Sabu as good as an additional PAS personality from Melaka were visiting me in Manchester so we was quite tied up. we contingency confess which we had a most interesting dual days discussing stream issues affecting Malaysia, in particular about governing body as good as matters associated to politics.
Anyhow, all we can contend is which Mat Sabu as good as we share a same views upon most most of a issues. we don't think we need to go in to details about what we spoke, though, or else this essay is starting to run in to 10 pages. Furthermore, my opinions have already been clearly voiced in a countless articles we have created over these final 20 years or so given we proposed writing about governing body behind in a early 1990s.
What we wish to residence currently is a 'favourite' criticism most readers have posted inMalaysia Todayover a final four years given 2008. And this criticism is: a non-Malays have already woken up. When have been a Malays starting to arise up?
These readers are, of course, referring to a March 2008 'Tsunami' where 50% of a Malays voted antithesis whilst a figure for a Chinese as good as Indians was most aloft -- an estimated 70% as good as as good as 80% as good as respectively.
M! any argu e which in a entrance general it is starting to be aloft for a Chinese -- may be some-more than 80% -- whilst for a Malays it may sojourn during 50% or even decrease to subsequent 50%. They do not talk as good most about a Indians, though, though it is estimated which this time around a Indian opinion for a antithesis may fall to usually 50% or less.
It is obscure as to given we contend it is a Malays who need to arise up. The Malays had already woken up behind in a late 1980s. And which was twenty-five years ago. When a Registrar of Societies deregistered Umno in 1988 as good as dual code brand brand brand new Malay parties were shaped in a place -- Umno Baru as good as Semangat 46 -- a Malays became widely separated as good as have remained widely separated ever since.
In a 1990 General Election dual years later, Kelantan fell to a antithesis as good as has remained antithesis ever since. The PAS-Semangat 46 bloc called APU (Angkatan Perpaduan Ummah) additionally captured most seats in Terengganu, nonetheless not sufficient to take a state.
Unfortunately, a other dual coalitions which Semangat 46 had with a non-Malay political parties -- with DAP upon a West Coast (called Gagasan Rakyat) as good as with PBS in Sabah -- did not do as good as APU. While a Malays voted opposition, a non-Malays upon a West Coast as good as those in East Malaysia refused to do a same.
Hence a antithesis mental condition of kicking out Umno as good as Barisan Nasional as good as of taking energy during sovereign turn was shattered. In a end it became a Malay mental condition as good as not a Malaysian dream.
Since Umno had been deregistered (Umno no longer existed), MCA had to take over a care of Barisan Nasional as good as a MCA President took over as a Chairman of Barisan Nasional.
By right, nonetheless not by law, Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who was right away 'partyless' as good as an independent Member of Parliament should have quiescent as! a Prime Minister as good as a MCA President, who was right away a Chairman of Barisan Nasional, should have taken over as a code brand brand brand new Prime Minister.
But Barisan Nasional (meaning a non-Malays) did not do this. They authorised Dr Mahathir, a male without a celebration as good as as a result with no infancy in Parliament, to sojourn as Prime Minister. In which sense, even Ibrahim Ali or Zul Nordin (who both additionally have no party) can turn a Prime Minister of Malaysia -- starting by what they did twenty-five years ago in a late 1980s.
We Malays were really disappointed with a non-Malays in both West as good as East Malaysia. Dr Mahathir should have been kicked out. Umno no longer existed as good as Dr Mahathir was no longer a personality of a largest celebration in Parliament. Dr Mahathir was right away merely acalun bebas. Why was he still a Prime Minister? And given were a non-Malays still maintaining him as Prime Minister when a infancy of a Malays wanted him out.
Umno Baru was afterwards formed. Technically, however, it was still an independent celebration as good as not a part of of Barisan Nasional. Barisan Nasional afterwards called for an puncture meeting, chaired by a President of MCA. No a single from Umno (Baru) attended a meeting.
At this puncture meeting, it was UNANIMOUSLY concluded (with not a single dissenting voice) which Umno Baru be certified as a part of of Barisan Nasional (not READMITTED though ADMITTED, given Umno no longer existed as good as Umno Baru was a code brand brand brand brand new party). It was additionally UNANIMOUSLY concluded (with not a single dissenting voice) which Dr Mahathir be invited to take over as a code brand brand brand new Chairman of Barisan Nasional.
we was there which day (standing outward a assembly room, of course, given we was not a personality of Barisan Nasional as good as as a result could not be inside a assembly room). We were anxiously expecting during le! ast a si ngle part of of Barisan Nasional to opinion opposite revelation a 'new party' in to Barisan Nasional -- as good as as a result Dr Mahathir would have to renounce as a Prime Minister as good as a code brand brand brand new Chairman of Barisan Nasional, who was additionally a President of MCA, would take over as Prime Minister.
we was really indignant which day. The Malays had done their move. We were starting to be rid of Umno as good as Dr Mahathir. But a non-Malays sold us out. The non-Malays betrayed us. From which day upon we realised which a non-Malays cannot be devoted to shift a country. We Malays have been upon a own as good as will have to do it ourselves.
Ten years later, we had a second chance. This time it was given of a conflict in between Anwar Ibrahim as good as Dr Mahathir. In a 1999 General Election we did improved than in a 1990 General Election. Not usually did a antithesis retain Kelantan (without a help of Semangat 46 this time, thoughts you, given which celebration had sealed down as good as most of a members had rejoined Umno) though it additionally won Terengganu after twenty-five years of perplexing (since 1974).
Furthermore, a antithesis won 8 out of a fifteen Parliament seats in Kedah (more than half) as good as it managed to repudiate Barisan Nasional a two-thirds infancy in a Kedah State Assembly (which happened usually a single year after in a Lunas by-election).
That was a code brand brand brand new landmark for a opposition. Unfortunately, all this happened in a Malay heartland of Kelantan, Terengganu as good as Kedah. In those constituencies where a Malays do not represent 90% or some-more of a voters, Barisan Nasional still ruled. In fact, any subdivision where a Malay electorate have been reduction than 80% it was quite impossible for a antithesis to win.
No doubt, in constituencies where a electorate have been predominantly Chinese as good as a candidate is a Chinese from DAP, afterwards there is a cl! ever pos sibility which DAP can win which seat. But this was a exception rather than a order -- infrequently even a tip guns of DAP suffered defeat given a Chinese electorate rejected them.
In 2008 which all changed, of course. But whether this shift is permanent or proxy is left to be seen -- as good as we shall know soon, come a subsequent general election. But what perturbs me is which a Malays have been struggling to see shift for about twenty-five years now. But we failed to see shift given of a recalcitrant Chinese as good as Indians, as good as those from East Malaysia.
No doubt, in 2008, some-more than half a Chinese as good as Indians from West Malaysia voted antithesis whilst usually 50% of a Malays did so. But a Malays have been widely separated in between Barisan Nasional as good as a antithesis given a 1980s. The Chinese as good as Indians from West Malaysia have usually usually woken up really recently (while those from East Malaysia have been still sleeping).
Hence we can't assimilate given a Chinese (and some Indians) keep asking a Malays to arise up. Can't they assimilate which a Malays already woke up a long time ago? The Chinese as good as Indians (and even afterwards usually those from West Malaysia, thoughts you) woke up usually really recently. If they had woken up twenty-five years ago similar to a Malays had, Dr Mahathir would have ruled Malaysia for usually 7 years as good as not twenty-two years as good as Umno would have been in energy for usually 30 years as good as not 55 years.
So what's all this nonsense about 'ABU' as good as '55 years is enough' as good as 'the Malays contingency arise up' all which shit? We have seen 55 years of Umno order as good as we need an ABU movement given of a treacherous Chinese as good as Indians from West Malaysia as good as those non-Malays from East Malaysia.
And, today, we censure a Malays as good as roar which it is time which a Malay woke up. What crap is this? And stop giving a! forgive which a non-Malays had no choice. Stop observant which behind in a late 1980s if MCA had refused to allow Umno Baru to turn a part of of Barisan Nasional as good as had refused to allow Dr Mahathir to sojourn as Prime Minister a armed forces would have stepped in -- as a result a Chinese as good as Indians as good as those from East Malaysia were forced to do what they did.
Are we observant which a armed forces has already been disbanded? Are we observant which usually in a late 1980s Malaysia had an armed forces as good as currently we no longer have an army? That is utter bullshit as good as a full of blood sore excuse. If we could not shift a supervision in a 1980s given of a armed forces afterwards what creates we think we can shift a supervision currently when we still have an army?
Would we accept a forgive which a Malays have no preference though to opinion Umno given if Pakatan Rakyat takes over afterwards dissenting view would be authorised as good as Muslims will leave Islam in droves to turn Christians? we think this is as legitimate an forgive as a a single which a non-Malays have been giving as to given they did what they did twenty-five years ago behind in a late 1980s.
Let me assure we we have already woken up. 35 years ago behind in a late 1970s we woke up to a evils of a supervision as good as twenty-five years ago behind in a late 1980s we woke up to a treachery of a non-Malays who propped up Umno as good as kept them in power.
So no need to ask me to arise up! Today we have woken up even m! ore. we have woken up to a hypocrisy of a non-Malays who 'created' Umno as good as afterwards right away censure a Malays for what Umno does.

The great green zone sell-off in Kota Kinabalu

In their pour out to urbanise this strand city, they have been pushing ahead with plans to spin the final couple of superfluous untouched parkland-like areas in the city in to the petrify jungle.
KOTA KINABALU: On the web page of the Prime Minister's Office the screensaver pop-up says: "Think Green" as well as "Save The Environment". A banner during the tip of the page upon top of the photographs of Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak as well as his cabinet reads: '"1 Malaysia" People, First Performance Now'.
So far, so good. Your leaders have been concerned. Their reassuring sentiments have been in keeping with the tellurian trends of conscientious vital as well as apply oneself for the surroundings.
Is anyone following their advice?
Over here in Sabah, they're not so interested. It's the flitting fad. Environmental armageddon be damned. Balanced expansion for the better quality of hold up is not nonetheless the priority here even if the budding minister as well as his cabinet validate it.
The Sabah Environmental Protection Association (Sepa) is upon top of itself with rage over the vapid reply by the supervision to environmental offences.
They show how mountainous country have been levelled, protected forests razed as well as sea ecosystems destroyed but so much as the slap upon the wrist by coercion authorities.
They've complained loudly, exposed projects as inherently hare-brained, launched campaigns as well as filed authorised suits to stop the rot but the skill expansion juggernaut is ploughing ahead as well as the little have been endangered about the citation internal authorities have been ! receivin g them.
City authorities wish expansion as well as the city has grown by leaps as well as end over the final two decades, fed especially by immigrants. But after initially sprawling outward, the focus right away seems to be to concede the takeover of changed immature areas inside of the city.
Property prices have been high, developers have been making urgent demands as well as the internal authorities have been shortsighted.
In their pour out to urbanise this strand city, they have been pushing ahead with plans to spin the final couple of superfluous untouched parkland-like areas in the city in to the petrify jungle.
Among those to be carved up by the developers' bulldozers is the iconic Signal Hill unaware the city's seafront, much to the discomfit of the well-heeled residents. A 13-storey condominium has been approved upon the mountain scandalous for landslips.
Some of the properties there date behind to the time of British colonial rule as well as between them is the Istana as well as the noble British governor's residence which is right away owned by the Hong Kong as well as Shanghai Bank as well as houses the branch manager.
Hills have been going
Elsewhere inside of the city limits, mountainous country have been additionally being targeted for levelling. Some which only the decade or so ago were directed towards 'green areas' by Kota Kinabalu City Hall have seen the flurry of wake up by surveyors fixation markers as well as workers drilling for soil samples.
According to some, costly high-rise condominium blocks have been set to be built by the little well-connected businessmen upon what is right away the forested mountain as well as the breakwater for birds, insects as well as the little small wildlife.
But the rambling civic formulation which is eroding the quality of hold up in what used to be the naturally scenic strand locale is not limited to the larg! ish imma ture zones which have mislaid their protection.
Children's playgrounds in housing layouts have not been spared. Many have been right away the sites of open or in isolation buildings in violation of internal authorities' regulations.
The city's once idyllic Tanjong Aru Beach has additionally not been spared. An iron-girder as well as glass-clad make up right away takes up most of the main beachfront. Many of the famed casuarina or 'aru' trees which fringe the beach have been chopped down.
A once bewitching place to watch the little great sunsets has been taken over by ornate restaurants, throbbing music, nauseous banners as well as the near slum-like hawker stalls finish with rivulets of dirty H2O as well as the resident population of highly invigorated rats.
The iron bars over the drains which presumably have been there to prevent strollers from stepping in have been bent during the dangerous angle in the little places as well as threaten to impale the unwary. All this is guarded by an programmed embankment during the opening to the beachfront parking lot as well as as we exit we compensate for the payoff during the parking fee booth.
"If all this was put up to beautify this beach, the more similar to the facelift for Halloween," joked an ostracise vital close by. The beach expansion is only the stone's chuck from the little costly condominiums across the highway as well as about 500 meters from the 5-star hotel.
Other long-time residents lamentation which the city is losing the impression due to poor planning. They say mistakes have been compounded by more mistakes as well as they have been suspi! cious wh ich locale planners do not have the clue about how to rise the city in to the pleasing place to live.
They point to the bizarre, monster-size replicas of fish, prawns, flower, fruits as well as as well as identical objects as City Hall's way of decorating roundabouts as well as other strategic places to give impression to the city.
"They demeanour similar to toys strewn around by children. They do not reflect anything about this state or city or have any decorative value or even make people think, opined the internal artist.
"It's apropos similar to any other city as well as that's the pity because KK has the own identity which has been painstakingly built up given the time of the colonial government," commented Richard Nelson Sokial, an designer who helped found the pressure organisation hoping to preserve the superfluous vestiges of Sabah's 'character'.
Dubious re-zonings
The group, Heritage Sabah, between others hopes to action as the check upon the destruction of the state's bequest through indeterminate re-zoning of areas to accommodate big commercial operation as well as skill developers.
Buildings as well as structures dating behind to Sabah's pre-independence days have been upon their radar.
Members of the NGO, all typical city residents, have moved to thwart an try by internal authorities to make the multi-storey shopping centre cum car play ground only the couple of meters from the city's century-old Atkinson Clock Tower. The area is the gazetted birthright site.
Over in Kudat, about three hours expostulate from here, the bitumen highway heading to the promontory he! ralded a s the 'Tip of North Borneo' has unnecessarily disfigured the splendid beach next to it.
It's no better during the mountain unaware the northern most tip of Borneo island. A huge petrify parking lot radiating waves of feverishness seems to detract from the beauty of the spot.
The 'beautification' blunders do not end there. Many have been still enraged by the insanity of internal authorities who chopped down the magnificent, century-old tree in the centre of an interior locale to make way for the open toilet.
The situation was carried prominently in internal newspapers as well as elicited remarks of regret from senior supervision figures. The tree is right away story as well as the open toilet has been sited elsewhere.
Meanwhile, internal authorities have been attempting the kind of really clever two-step to avoid criticism as well as to show which they as well have been endangered about shrinking immature spots in this strand city. Earlier this year they launched the costly tree planting programme.

Floridas 29 Electoral Votes, making it 332 to 206

Obama takes Florida's twenty-nine Electoral Votes, creation it 332 to 206

by AFP/de

President Barack Obama has won Florida's twenty-nine electoral votes, further fattening his estimable margin of feat over Mitt Romney in what had been likely to be a close White House race.

The Sunshine State was the last to inform its tally from a November 6 election, in which Obama won a second term, defeating his Republican rival Romney.

With Florida's electoral college votes right away in a Democratic incumbent's column, a final total was 332 for Obama, opposite 206 for Romney. Obama warranted 50 percent of a opinion to Romney's 49.1 percent about 74,000 some-more votes between some-more than 8 million ballots cast, according to county tallies provided to a state prior to a noon (1700 GMT) Saturday deadline.

Republicans have control of both houses in Florida's state legal body as well as a governor's mansion, though a flourishing Hispanic as well as some-more liberal-leaning race have been pulling a citizens toward Obama's Democrats.

Florida was arguably a most coveted esteem upon choosing day, with some-more electoral college votes up for grabs than any of a alternative so-called swing states.

In 2000, Democrat Al Gore, who won a US popular vote, lost a choosing to Republican George W. Bush, who triumphed underneath a electoral college system when a widely separated US Supreme Court stopped a list recount in Florida.

But in a end, Florida did not play a main purpose in a national race this time. Obama was confirmed a winner Tuesday, earning enough electoral college votes without a state to pass a 270 threshold indispensable for victory.

Governor Rick Scott pronounced a audience in! his sta te had reached jot down levels, though pronounced a long delays must not be repeated. There were "more votes cast than in any alternative choosing in state history," Scott pronounced in a statement upon Saturday.

"We have been blissful which so most voters made their voices heard in this election, though as you go brazen you must see improvements in our choosing process." He pronounced he had asked top officials during a state as well as county level to examination choosing procedures, "especially those who ran elections in counties where voters experienced long lines of 4 hours or more."

Deputy Elections Supervisor Christina White had earlier pronounced a delays in a southeastern state were not due to "any problems or glitches. It's about volume as well as paper left to be processed."

But during least dual Florida opinion experts saw a chaos as a result of a raw, bare-knuckled Republican attempt to suppress turnout.

Republican state officials have been "intentionally under-supplying choosing by casting votes places as well as equipment" to emanate bottlenecks in traditionally Democratic strongholds, "thereby shortening Democratic choosing by casting votes as well as utilizing a choosing outcome," pronounced Lance deHaven-Smith during Florida State University.

Charles Zelden, a History as well as Law Professor during Nova Southeastern University in Florida, additionally pronounced a state's Republican legal body wanted to delayed down choosing by casting votes for partisan purposes.

He pointed to a law signed by Scott last year which reduced a number of early choosing by casting votes days from 14 to 8 as well as eliminated early choosing by casting votes upon a Sunday prior to choosing day. Democrats lend towards to do better in early voting, so a measures were seen as likely to have benefited Romney.

Christian Federation of Malaysia reassured of Pakatans Reform Agenda

Christian Federation of Malaysia reassured of Pakatan's Reform Agenda

by Terence Netto@www.malaysiakini.com

Amid worry over another round of Christian bashing in the guise of attacks upon Anwar Ibrahim for consorting with Christian leaders, sections of the Pakatan Rakyat leadership cohort hold the closed-door briefing for members of the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) progressing this week in Kuala Lumpur.

According to CFM sources who attended the meeting, the role was to encourage Christian leaders which Pakatan's query for an egalitarian Malaysia would be firmly upon lane the notation they take hold of Putrajaya, the idea which seems increasingly receptive judging from rousing receptions to the coalition's ceramah nationwide.

"The target of the Pakatan leaders who met up with us was to encourage us which no matter what point the attacks upon Pakatan or the principal leaders take, the bloc would be ardent in the query for domestic as well as mercantile reform," pronounced an attendee who spoke to Malaysiakini.

"That was song to the ears since you feel which usually with vital domestic as well as mercantile reform, the spate of Christian bashing you have seen in recent years would be the thing of the past," he elaborated.

NONESome twenty member from CFM were benefaction during the assembly with Pakatan leaders among whom were Dr Dzulkefly Ahmad as well as Mujahid Yusof Rawa (both from PAS), Tian Chua, Chua Jui Meng, Dr Tan Tee Kwong as well as R Sivarasa (all PKR), as well as Ngeh Koo Ham as well as Teresa Kok (both DAP).

Perturbed by the appearance of leaflets (left) in Slim River prog! ressing in the week aggressive Pakatan supremo Anwar's alliance to Christian leaders in advance of the ceramah he was to give in the southern Perak town, Pakatan leaders requested for the assembly with CFM member to encourage the latter upon issues such as hudud which have been viewed as discouraging to non-Muslims.

Anwar arrives late
from Jakarta

Initially, the Pakatan sect did not want Anwar to attend the assembly though the antithesis personality dismissed fears his assemblage would leave him during the disadvantage in fending off attacks upon his Islamic rectitude stemming from viewed alliance to Christian leaders as well as insisted upon being present.

In the event, Anwar arrived late for the meeting, his return flight from Jakarta where he had been progressing in the day was delayed by bad weather.

Before his arrival, the Pakatan leaders who came for the assembly suggested CFM member not to be disturbed by calls for the doing of hudud which do not emanate from the tip harvesting machine of Pakatan's leadership.

"We were told which Pakatan allows the certain berth for the expression of the operation of opinions inside of the coalition," pronounced the same CFM deputy who spoke upon background.

"They do not think which it is right for the tip leadership of the bloc to suppress the progression of opinions inside of the bloc with the single set of outspoken chords. That's not the Pakatan style," explained the CFM representative.

He pronounced the Pakatan leaders emphasised there will be no unilateralism upon the vital issues such as the doing of hudud.

"We were told which hudud is not in the Pakatan Common Policy Framework as well as thus it is not upon the cards where the Pakatan supervision is concerned," pronounced the CFM representative.

Bread-and-butter issues

What's upon the tip harvesting machine of the P! akatan a genda is the reduction in price of oil as well as the abolishment of repayments upon higher preparation loans.

"The grant of resources for the eradication of misery is tip priority with the main bearing of the effort destined to those in need, irrespective of race," pronounced the CFM attendee.

The Pakatan leaders were during pains to emphasise which no overnight mutation of the Malaysian polity should be expected once they have been in strap in Putrajaya since the polite use would have to undergo the mindset shift prior to it can be directed in the citation of the desired transformation.

"We were told which the polite use is flushed with the BN ethos as well as which this was the half-century in the making. So Pakatan would have to tread subtly as well as delicately to shift the prevalent mindset in sequence to implement the wide ranging reforms which have been the idealisation role of the coalition," pronounced the CFM representative.

The CFM deputy pronounced he had attended the Anwar ceramah in Slim River progressing in the week out of plain oddity to see if the leaflets which attacked the Pakatan supremo for alliance to Christian leaders had any effect.

S Pakatan cooking Anwar"I was happy to see which the leaflets had no outcome since the large numbers of Malays as well as Chinese people who attended the ceramah appeared penetrating to see Anwar as well as hear what he had to say," he said.

He pronounced which despite the severe continue the throng of about 2,000 came to the rally which was hold in the forecourt of the Taoist temple.

"People appear some-more interested in counts to do with corruption as well as misappropriation of resources than in sectarian concerns. The throng was mostly from center class to reduce center class as well as they seemed calm to! lay nex t to each other, preoccupied of racial as well as eremite differences. Those leaflets were from the different universe as far as which throng was concerned," he opined.

The IndiansMalaysia's Forgotten People

by Ranjit Singh Malhi (11-10-12) @www.themalaysianinsider.com

I impute to Dato Seri Mohamed Nazri Abdul Aziz's new call in to Indian groups to meet with a Government as well as discuss a grievances of a Malaysian Indian Community.

Let's face a stark reality as well as look for permanent as well as holistic solutions to a problems plaguing a Indian Community. The Indian Community that forms about 7 per cent of a nation's population does rightfully feel alienated as well as frustrated.

Indeed, a singular can disagree that a Indian Community over a last couple of decades has turn in N. J. Colleta's words, "Malaysia's forgotten people." I would supplement that a community's in front of has been reduced to that of a "footnote" in a propagandize story textbooks that scantly admit their grant towards a mercantile growth of a nation.

The complaint of a marginalised Indian community, quite of a more than 300,000 replaced camp workers contingency be noticed as a grave inhabitant complaint that contingency be tackled rught away with a clarity of urgency as well as sincerity.

The Indian village is tormented by a series of problems besides poverty, low self-respect as well as having a lowest share of a nation's corporate wealth. It has a highest series of gangsters, prisoners, drug addicts, alcoholics, suicide rate as well as singular mothers in proportion to population. Indians commit about 50 per cent of a nation's serious crimes as well as jot down a highest percentage of deaths while under military custody. Indians also have a lowest hold up expectancy rate among a major races.

In all fairness, a Government has not prolonged ago undertaken sure initiatives to assuage a! problem s faced by a Indian village such as augmenting a series of seats for Indian matriculation students, promising a singular hundred scholarships for top Indian students as well as approving myKad for over 4,000 Indian Malaysians.

Such initiatives are really stairs in a right citation but they do not residence a simple problems faced by a community. Much more needs to be finished for a Indian village such as enhancing a peculiarity of precision as well as guidance in Tamil schools, allocating increased seats in institutions of higher learning, creating adequate pursuit as well as commercial operation opportunities, on condition that appropriate skills training, as well as introducing land settlement schemes.

The Government should bear in thoughts that a nation owes a debt of gratitude to a Indian village for their invaluable grant before Merdeka. It was Indian work (mainly South Indians) that was a backbone of a rubber attention as well as essentially thankful for opening up most of what is today West Malaysia with their sweat, red blood as well as tears.

Rubber was a chief trade of Malaya for multiform decades beginning from 1916. Indian work was also essentially thankful for office office building a roads, railways as well as bridges besides constructing ports, airports as well as supervision buildings. Virtually every mile of railway lane that totalled over 1,000 miles as well as about 6,000 miles of metalled categorical roads as well as multiform hundred miles of tertiary roads by 1957 were built by Indian labour. As aptly stated by Muzaffar Tate, "The Public Works Department was an Indian preserve."

A small known fact is that hundreds of thousands of Indians died in developing complicated Malaya. According to a 1957 Federation of Malaya Census Report, most of! a 1.2 m illion net Indian immigration to Malaya in between 1860-1957 appears to have been wiped out by disease, snake bites, depletion as well as malnutrition. In a difference of Michael R. Stenson, " South India supposing an essential tribute of human lives but that a European owned camp attention in Malaya could not have been established."

To conclude, a nation owes a debt of gratitude to Malaysian Indians for their profitable past grant in nation building, quite in opening up a malarial as well as frugally populated jungle for commercial agriculture that formed a backbone of a country's economy until 1980. The Government is morally thankful to initiate poignant as well as prolonged lasting measures aimed during vastly improving a mercantile as well as amicable well being of a Indian Community.

HOT! Anwar Given An Extra-Ordinary Welcome By the Indian Community! (in Malay)
