Family members of death-in-custody victim cried for justice in front of the military domicile during Bukit Aman in Kuala Lumpur this morning.

They pronounced Krishnan Subramaniam was arrested in Kota Damansara upon November 8 as well as upon November 20, the magistrate's court in Petaling Jaya ordered which he be sent to the Hospital Bahagia mental sanatorium in Tanjung Rambutan, Perak, for observation.

However, Krishnan was found dead when he was sent to the sanatorium upon November 22.

NONE"The autopsy conducted upon Krishnan confirms which he died of septicaemia, meaning which his blood was really bad infected," Subang MP Sivarasa Rasiah pronounced outside the sovereign military headquarters.

"How did which happen? It is because there was the wound upon his wrist, caused by his shackles or presumably by alternative causes which were not treated.

"We know which if he was treated with colour with antibiotics which are easily available, he would have recovered in the week," combined Sivarasa, who was with Kris! hnan's family to hand over the memorandum calling upon Inspector-General of Police Ismail Omar to take movement upon the matter.

The Deepak Saga:Who is this Tan Sri Lawyer?

Bar Council behaves like a MACC upon Who is this Tan Sri Lawyer?

by MCLM's Hari Ibrahim
Haris Ibrahim"We have additionally perceived yesterday a minute from [lawyer-activist] Haris Ibrahim requesting a Bar Council to launch an review to brand a counsel (s) concerned, when it appears to us which Haris might know a temperament of these lawyers."
"This has caused unnecessary conjecture as well as confusion": Bar Council President, Lim Chee Wee, as reported inFMT.
Really, my role in promulgation a minute was not to means conjecture as well as confusion.Quite a contrary.
you merely asked which a Bar Council examine to (1) brand a solicitor(s) concerned, as well as (2) discern if there was any incorrectness in a preparation of SD2.It right away appears to a Bar Council which you know a temperament of a lawyer(s)?
In my"Who is a Tan Sri lawyer?"post, this is what you pronounced :
"I have perceived confirmation from 3 independent as well as reliable sources as to who this scumbag is".
Surely a Bar Council will not read this to meant you have direct believe of a acts in question, rather than believe of informants, albeit, in my opinion, reliable, relating to these acts.
In my minute to a Bar Council, you had narrated 17 sets of contribution prior to to you posted two questions which you felt were of importance.
1. Did a solicitor(s) who drew up SD2 take instructions from Bala prior to to to drafting a same which was finally affirmed b! y Bala?< /div>
2. Given which by a conditions of SD2, Bala would be revelation to an corruption of swearing out a prior to to fake orthodox declaration, was it not incumbent upon a solicitor(s) endangered in a preparation to have taken instructions from Bala as well as to have warned him of a consequences of affirming a orthodox stipulation which was being drawn up for his affirmation?
The second question, for me, sums up a emanate of concern. Now, prior to to you contend some-more upon this second question, you might find a following report helpful.
Section 42 of a Legal Profession Act, 1976 (LPA) lays out a objects as well as powers of a Malaysian Bar.
The really initial role of a Bar :to uphold a means of probity but courtesy to a own interests or which of a members, uninfluenced by fear or favour.
Now a Council president has urged which if any one has compelling evidence, which they step brazen to"lodge such justification together with a censure rught away with a disciplinary board".
Can a Bar Council have a complaint?Section 99 of a LPA relates to complaints to a Disciplinary Board. Sub-section (3) states :Nothing in this territory shall be taken to obviate a Bar Council or a State Bar Committee from creation any censure of a own motion to a Disciplinary Board opposite an advocate as well as barrister or a pupil.
Of course it would be unconditionally irresponsible for a Council to lodge a censure but prior to to investigation.
And to discern a name(s).
And if there was any impropriety.
Which is all which my minute which caused conjecture as well as difficulty asked a Council do.
Is it unable to investigate?
The Malaysian Bar is unable to investigate?
Do not a decent lawyers remaining during a Bar want to get to a bottom of this?
Back to a second subject you posed in my letter. Section 57 of a LPA deals with specific powers of a Bar Council. 57(b) provides thatthe Bar Council shall have energy to answer questions affecting a use as well as practice of a contention as well as a control of members.
Hmm, may be my minute was feeble worded as well as you should have put a second subject as one requiring an answer from a Bar Council.
Never mind, may be one of you keen young reporters can pose a same second subject to a Bar Council for an enlightened response.
you mean, if a answer is which such control as is described in my subject is well in gripping with a finest traditions of a Malaysian Bar as well as sits well with a first role of support a means of justice, afterwards they can treat this make a difference as Gani Patail so often does.
Stamp my letter"NFA".
FMT additionally reports :
Lim additionally pronounced which a many important chairman in a censure opposite a authorised practitioner should be a plant himself, but a strong "victim" has yet to come forward.
"Who is a plant here? Has a plant Balasubramaniam raised concerns about anything during this point? We need some-more facts, possibly from a plant or somebody else."
"People must come brazen with a facts. I'm not starting upon a fishing expedition knocking upon people's bureau or doors for facts. This is not a case of clients income disappearing.
"This report is suggested by someone whose own credentials is means for concern," pronounced Lim, referring to Deepak.
Asked if a Bar Council is demure to act, he said: "We cannot contend you have been not doing anything. Those with some-more facts, come forward. We will do what is necessary. Even during this time, you will look into this serve if necessary," he said.
Gosh, where have you heard a likes of this before? MACC?

AES, full speed ahead (but within speed limits, of course)

For two consecutive weeks, a Cabinet outlayed a great understanding of time deliberating a AES. The "review" sessions followed threats by a small domestic extremists to vandalise notice cameras aimed at deterring trade criminals as well as offenders, a small legal doubts as well as other technicalities.

I have been told by reliable sources which a Cabinet was confident which a AES has shown to be a rarely in effect deterrent, indeed. The series of trade offences held upon existing cameras have left down by as most as 80 per cent!

"That, by any standard, is remarkable," pronounced a source.

The Cabinet concluded which new component should be added to a AES, especially right away which Malaysians have been severely some-more aware as well as in all not antithetic it (because a complement does not start those who expostulate according to a trade laws as well as regulations).

These elements have been described as "more humane/considerate/Rakyat-friendly/caring.

For details, please wait for an official statement.

So to those who were celebrating a passing of a AES yesterday, as well bad. Like we have said, a complement is internationally attempted as well as tested as well as it is great for road users in general, so why fix it? More than 16,000 people have paid their fines as well as they - together with others who have been issues summonses - have been not likely to make a same mistakes. Those rempits have been essentially stopping when a light turns red!

A lot of things can be improved, of course. Some people expect a JPJ as well as a operators to get all right from a word GO. How can? In a UK, where there have been pronounced to be a small 1.8 million notice cameras, a authorities have been still being challenged. It will take a small while prior to a complement can be perfected, but a critical thing is to get it going full speed forward as well as not permitting those extremists to stop or check it for their poor domestic gains.

A melodrama of sex, bribery, murder

Najib Tun Razak has nonetheless to quarrel an choosing as PM, though his destiny is mired in uninformed troubles.
COMMENT
by Jonathan Manthorpe
Najib (Tun) Razak has been Malaysia's Prime Minister given early in 2009, though he has nonetheless to quarrel an choosing as well as conjecture is right away abundant between a country's chattering classes which he may not survive during a helm until a next national opinion is due in April.
What is powering a gossip mill is nonetheless some-more twists as well as turns in a melodrama of sex, bribery as well as attempted attempted attempted murder stemming from when Najib was defence apportion a decade ago.
The ultimate revelations place Najib far some-more into a centre of events which led to a attempted attempted attempted murder by dual of his bodyguards of a Mongolian conform model, translator as well as chick upon a side of his arch policy adviser, (Abdul) Razak Baginda.
Equally constrained is which a brand new allegations have been coming from Deepak Jaikishan, a former trusted intimate of Najib's wife, Rosmah Mansor, as well as a man well-connected to a upper echelons of a ruling United Malays National Organization (Umno).
Local media in Malaysia is full of suggestions by unnamed Umno officials which maybe Deepak has been put up to his revelations by Najib's categorical domestic rival, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin.
Other possibilities for a domestic assassination of Najib have been a sour former budding apportion (Dr) Mahathir Mohamad, as well as a budding apportion as well as Umno personality Najib suspended in 2009, Abdullah (A! hmad) Ba dawi.
But a being of Malaysian governing physique is a singular stroke of a still-unresolved story of Najib's $ 2-billion squeeze of dual Scorpene submarines from France, a $ 200-million facilitation price paid to a association tranquil by his help Baginda, as well as a attempted attempted attempted murder of Altantuya Shaariibuu after she demanded a $ 500,000 cut.
While it resonates with some social strata between urban voters, in heartland farming Malaysia, where elections have been won as well as lost, tales of bribery, mistresses as well as attempted attempted attempted murder between a domestic classes do not stir up much interest.
And, as Najib's domestic career defied a logic which a single as well as a single have dual ever given a attempted attempted attempted murder of Altantuya in 2006, there is no particular reason to consider it cannot survive a ultimate allegations.
Loose ends
Even a hearing as well as self-assurance of dual of Najib's bodyguards for a attempted attempted attempted murder was deftly theatre managed without repercussions. The hearing had not scrupulously started when a judge dismissed a charges against Baginda, who right away lives in outcast in Britain. Questions about who ordered a group to kill Altantuya were never asked.
What competence nonetheless join all a lax ends of this story together is which French magistrates have been investigating either bribery was concerned in a 2002 agreement to sell a submarines to Malaysia.
The ultimate story from Deepak story centres upon a in isolation detective declared Perumal Balasubramanian, who was hired by Baginda to keep Altantuya away from his house after he jilted her as well as she demanded a cut of a $ 200-million facilitation fee.
Altantuya, who had worked as a indication in Paris, acted as translator for Baginda in a negotiations with a French for a submarines.
In a ! sworn ma tter done soon after a find of a murdered Altantuya, whose physique was blown up with troops explosive after she was shot twice in a head, Balasubramanian pronounced Baginda told him she had been Najib's chick upon a side first. But Najib had passed her upon to Baginda because he was expecting to become budding apportion as well as carrying a chick upon a side competence affect his chances.
Najib has upon multiform occasions denied ever meeting Altantuya.
After creation this statement, Balasubramanian was hauled into a police hire where he was persuaded to have another matter recanting. He afterwards quickly left a nation as well as is right away believed to be living in Chennai, India.
However, in a number of interviews in a past couple of weeks, Deepak has substantiated a in isolation detective's original matter as well as additionally pronounced he gave multiform cheques to Balasubramanian worth a equivalent of over $ 240,000 in all to financial his moody from a nation as well as exile.
And, says Deepak, a source of a money to keep Balasubramanian still as well as out of a nation was Najib's younger hermit Nazim Abdul Razak. Vancouver Sun

Pakatan to win with 118 seats?

The EC is BN's final citadel to adhere to energy as well as a usually way to quell a shenanigans is for a rakyat to come out in droves to guard opinion tallying
COMMENT
A neutral Chinese domestic analyst who is a crony of this columnist has sensitive that it is probable for Pakatan Rakyat to win a 13th ubiquitous choosing by 118 seats, with BN removing 104. The sum series of parliamentary seats is 222.
However, he additionally cautioned that hooligans might interrupt a ubiquitous choosing debate or a vote-counting process, thereby creation it probable for a Election Commission (EC) to annul a polls results.
Certainly, anything can occur in a stream domestic unfolding as well as thus a rakyat have been speedy to come out in full force to opinion upon top of volunteering their time to guard a choosing process, to forestall foreign workers from choosing by casting votes as well as additionally to forestall extra ballot boxes from being brought in to sabotage a results.
The incident here is such that a rakyat contingency work hard to chaperon in a shift that they want. Indications have been already during palm that Pakatan has enough await to win a 13th ubiquitous choosing as well as a figure of 118 seats had already factored in a phantom/dubious/foreign voters.
However, a EC is Barisan Nasional's final citadel in a try to reason upon to energy as well as a usually way to quell a EC's shenanigans is to come out in droves upon a night a formula have been being tallied.
Prime Minister Najib Tun Razak has in fact already mislaid a ubiquitous election, in a manner of speaking, as well as that is since he ! does not appear to have a sense of urgency to reason a polls.
"The rakyat have to be prepared to face any eventuality. Najib has even right away mislaid most of a Indian support," pronounced M Manogaran, DAP's Teluk Intan MP.
"Perhaps all this is function since people have been usually fed up of BN. The RM500 cash aid can usually sustain most of a urban bad for a single month but what about a rest of a 11 months?" asked Manogaran.
DAP blogger Aspan Alias opined that there have been people who have been still contented with removing duck curry without a duck beef since a duck curry still has a duck meat's flavour.
In BN's recklessness to stay in power, all sorts of strategy will be used. So do not be astounded if your name is blank from a electoral hurl upon polling day.
Klang MP, DAP's Charles Santiago, has already forked out that 5,000 names have left from a electoral hurl in his constituency.
BN has mislaid Malay/Indian support
This simply means that BN will do anything as well as everything in order to stay in power. After a feat during a polls, we can be certain that a cost of fuel will go up, GST (goods as well as services tax) will be imposed as well as a cost of vital will shoot up drastically.
Reports from all a grassroots who have been friends of this columnist right away show that BN has mislaid most of a Malay as well as Indian await nonetheless still holding upon clever in Sabah as well as Sarawak due to a miss of information in those areas.
Many of those who do a groundwork surveys told this columnist that people have been right away curious as well as wish to see what a brand new federal government is like.
Therefore Umno leaders these days sing a aged tune of Malay supremacy by saying that if Umno falls, a Malays will fall, too, while during a same time in a centre forgetful to discuss that PAS is additionally Malay.
! The bat tle is upon for a Malay vote. It is BN's practice to order as well as rule.
"But we in Pakatan rehearse unite as well as rule," pronounced DAP's Ipoh Timur MP, Lim Kit Siang, during a brand new ceramah in Pahang progressing this month.
Therefore nonetheless hopes of a urban folk have been high that a brand new government will soon come into power, a resistance from BN as well as a allies is still really strong. And what is misfortune is that BN has roped in a EC to do a bidding.
And EC is flexing a muscles as well as proving to be a biggest stumbling retard to Pakatan's bid to win a ubiquitous election. Indeed, a EC is BN's final citadel as well as it will have full use of a EC to retard Pakatan's highway to Putrajaya.
Yes, a EC is BN's most absolute as well as challenging weapon. Not even BR1M can rival a energy of a EC when it comes to hindering Pakatan.
The usually way to overpower a little a powers of a EC is for a rakyat to be during a counting centres when a polls formula have been being tallied. This will impede EC's efforts to indulge in any indeterminate tactics. The mass presence of a rakyat might additionally strike fright into a hearts of a EC officers.
"The rakyat contingency be benefaction upon a night a choosing formula have been announced. It is time to chaperon in a government we truly want, a brand new government that can institute shift for a raise of everyone. It is of no use to hang to a aged government that is set in a depraved as well as crooked ways," added Manogaran.

Hindu altar row: Whatever happened to tolerance?

YOURSAY'If this is what a Malay village has come to, afterwards a non-Malays will have to quarrel for their right to profess their religion.'

Residents oppose rebuilding of Hindu tabernacle in Sepang

your sayP Dev Anand Pillai:What nonsense is this Taman Seroja Residents Association boss Kamarulzaman Mat Zain articulate about?

The temple is inside of a devalue of a house; it is not upon a open road, so it is good inside of a jurisdiction of a residence owners to urge inside his/her own house, which includes a outer part till a main front gate.

MIC Youth is right here, if an illegal temple is constructed upon a private land, which is not a dwelling, afterwards a authorities might intervene. But this is a right to ceremony inside of a bounds of one's own house.

So it looks similar to a schemers have been up to it again. What does this mean, which Christians, Hindus as well as Buddhist can't keep shrines in their own homes?

If this is what a Malay village has come to, afterwards a non-Malays will have to quarrel for their right to profess their religion. If a Malays do not wish any alternative eremite sites in a republic solely which of their own, afterwards start demolishing everything.

Mr Kalai:Any tabernacle in ! a Hindu residence should be inside a residence as well as not outside. It should not be in a permanent building built similar to a mini-temple.

Once a temple or shrine, however tiny it is, is built, Hindus will not remove it believing! which a deity has staid down there.

What happens if a residence is sole as well as a new owners does not wish a shrine? Let us apply oneself God. Give him a correct place.

Southpaw:Why do we have a strong feeling which this is BN member parties' play act, particularly in between MIC as well as Umno.

KPNG:"She (neighbour Zurina Muhammad) conceded which a enlargement of a tabernacle might have caused a little Muslims feel uncomfortable.''

But it is entirely inside of a Indian owner's residence compound. Why have been a Muslims in which locality feeling uncomfortable, we don't understand.

Can't they accept others' leisure to their religion? The Sepang Municipal Council (MPS) must explain.

Don't make make use of of a argument of a tiny series of Indian race there, which sounds similar to bullying. We have been articulate about leisure of to rehearse a religion.
ACR:This residents' organisation only represents 95 percent of a residents? The five percent non-Muslim residents have no representation?

The evident Malay/Muslim next door next door neighbour does not have problems with a altar. The tabernacle is not for open use.

Why bring into a fray a residents' organisation as though open space is being abused to a detriment of a residents?

Louis:Kamarulzaman, does this meant which when Hindus form a minority in an are, they need not rehearse their religion? How would a Muslims feel if they have been denied places of ceremony in areas or countries where they represent a tiny minority?

Islam is reasonable as well as expects Muslims to be passive to alternative eremite practices. Allowing a tiny Hindu tabernacle to be built does not meant debility in Islam. On a contrary, it shows a strength of Islam, which comes what may, will weather all alternative influences.

Fair Play:Is this a Malaysian Malaysia concept after some-more tha! n 50 ove r years vital together in harmony?

Frankly, as a Malaysian, we adore to be surrounded by mosques, churches, temples as well as any praying place. Such places give a clarity of peace to ease one's mind.

Bumiasli:Another example of superiority complex. Does a residents' organisation have a right to meddle in peoples' private matters?

Thisia:I only don't assimilate what is so wrong having a tabernacle inside a house? Even if there is 99.99 percent Muslims in a area, what is a problem? It! 's similar to saying in a non-Muslim majority area, a surau is not allowed. Grow up, guys.

Tpn:Don't speak this crap about "our sensitivity". we stay in a area where some-more than 90 percent of a people have been non-Muslims. However, we have never made an emanate about a surau enlargement nor a azan prayer call.

We show apply oneself to a internal Muslim village as we have been Malaysians who apply oneself a single another, irrespective of a religion. Kamarulzaman sounds similar to he can be converted out of Islam if he sees a temple in his area. Please cut out stupid crap.

Imran:I am an Indian Hindu as well as we really consider a Indians have been starting overboard with their temples. It seems a fact which there is a Hindu temple at every corner.

These so-called temples have been many often put up by tiny groups as well as over a years there have been thousands around a country.

I consider Indian Hindus should be supportive to a internal population. As for a altars constructed in their gardens, we consider these as well should be controlled. Altars have been meant to be inside a house. we was repelled to see a residence in Sungai Buloh having a outrageous tabernacle in their porch.

I am a Hindu as well as well as we am abashed of these actions by a little people in a Indian community. The Indians consider they can politicise anything to do with temples. The ! authorit ies should not give in to these tiny groups. Most educated Indians have been share a same perspective we have only expressed.

MK:You have a right to have a tabernacle in your own house. But make sure to imitate with internal legislature regulations. Very simple.
Shemc2:I am not pro or opposite this issue, though a part which is unfortunate is, despite a many years of vital in a multiracial society, we have been still a long approach from usurpation a multiracial society.

I wonder if a situation was reversed, many likely a war would have damaged out by now.

Enlightened:Selangor MB Abdul Khalid Ibrahim's noisy silence upon a emanate is starting to expel a little doubts in a lot of Hindus' as well as Buddhists' minds as to Pakatan Rakyat's stand upon eremite tolerance.

Mohd Mazlan Khamis:Please do a background check as well as charge all those who have been protesting here as they could incite diseased race family upon a shores.

It's improved to be protected than sorry. We do not need extremists in a country. The military should action quickly opposite these people instead of wasting time with a Bersih group.

Kalaiselvam Palaniappan:If people could set up a rock grassed area in a devalue of a house, why can't we set up an altar?

We have processed altars made of timber as well as stone (large ones) yet we can't set up one? A chairman can't ceremony God in their own home?

The law states which every residential area should have a mosque as well as non-Muslims apply oneself it, so why can't a same gesticulate be extended to us?

These racist bigots should assimilate which this tabernacle is built inside of a devalue of a house, period.

Ferdtan:I still consider it is ! alright t! o have a Hindu tabernacle inside a devalue for private prayers. My next door next door neighbour has a Taoist tabernacle built inside his co! mpound.< br>
I additionally have a surau a single hundred metre away, with trade jams every Friday as well as a daily prayers' calls, though we have no objections. What have been a couple of minutes of nuisance for tolerance?

The fault primarily lies with a town legislature officers, who obviously up to no good as well as torn down a Hindu altar. However, M Thanalechemy's family should not politicise it by getting MIC to get involved.

They gave as well most inflection to a mainstream media to strike at Pakatan, as well as right divided we get these Umno-backed supporters personification a eremite emanate again, similar to those in Shah Alam who started the'cow-head'demonstration.

LittleGiant:Malaysia is a republic which relies upon a strength as well as solidarity of a 3 major races - a Malays, a Chinese as well as a Indians - for a progress as well as development.

It is extremely disappointing as well as frustrating which a rakyat have to declare these ugly incidents.

Can Malaysians indeed hold in 'unity in diversity'? Can we ever achieve racial as well as eremite toleration as well as acceptance? Fifty-five years after Merdeka, it seems some-more unfit than possible. It is sad, very sad. - Malaysiakini

Pakatan Politics over Premiership is BAD news

by Francis Paul Siah (12-18-12) @http://www.malaysiakini.com

COMMENT DAP has been consistent it is solidly behind Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim's candidacy for the premiership should Pakatan Rakyat attain energy in the next ubiquitous election.DAP chairperson Karpal Singh reiterated the party's mount during the 16th national congress in Penang over the weekend.

NONEAll of Malaysia is clear which Anwar (right) is DAP's man for the coveted post. But the same cannot be pronounced of PAS. It has another claimant in mind the boss Abdul Hadi Awang.

This incident of two 'PMs-in-waiting' is the thorn in Pakatan's side. It is not doing the bloc any good. In fact, it threatens to expostulate the low crowd in to the unity armour, if it has not finished so already.

Going in to the 2008 ubiquitous election, Pakatan did not even complete the squeak about the budding ministerial candidate. Why, it did not even have sufficient convincing candidates, fast cobbling together the group which, unfortunately, additionally comprised of 'toads as good as frogs' as we detected later.

However, this round is different. For the initial time, Pakatan feels an upset is possible. Some say it looks imminent. The stakes have been really high. It is ready to take over the national leadership. Is it? It does not demeanour really comforting or reassuring for Malaysians if there is no singular national personality to take over or lead the sovereign government.

Don't give us 'bull' which Pakatan will choose the single after victory is attained. Saying which 'we! win ini tial as good as then confirm later' does not hold in this case. Supporters might consider this way instead after winning, the member parties will disagree as good as quarrel over who is to be the leader. That would be the sign of the disunited as good as unsure administration, as good as will not signal the earnest start for the brand new sovereign government.

It does not work this way for ordinary Malaysians who have been not used to the intrigues of domestic plots as good as games of lies as good as deceit. They usually wish the decent as good as honest personality as good as it would be of good comfort to them if Pakatan could usually determine upon the single name instead of dilly-dallying over the choice.

I do find it funny, fishy even, which Pakatan right away has to quarrel over who is to be Prime Minister. Why? Right from the birth of Pakatan, there was the taciturn bargain which Anwar was the supremo of the bloc as good as the healthy preference to pretence the post.

NONEJust 3 months ago, Hadi (left) was reported to have pronounced which he is not keen upon contesting the arriving ubiquitous election.

It was Anwar who shot down the idea, observant which Hadi's services have been still needed.

Then came the PAS muktamar last month, during which multiform representatives hailed Hadi as the next Prime Minister. It's clear which most supporters wish to ensure which he is destined for bigger things, the single of which is to turn budding minister.

The PAS ulama's pull for Hadi to be made Prime Minister is some-more serious than what some celebration leaders would wish it to be. This could additionally be presumably due to the separate in in between the conservative ulama as good as the liberals (the Erdogans) in the party! . It is an open secret which the PAS liberals have been tighten to Anwar as good as which they share the DAP's ambition to make him Prime Minister.

Glaring disunity

The pull for Hadi is the heady notion indeed, or as Hadi himself put it, "syiok" (thrilling). Of course, he did not realise which this acknowledgement would provide fodder for the media.

After Anwar snapped which he was peaceful to plead the matter, the mainstream press went in to overdrive. As expected, the issue was played up negatively opposite Pakatan, so most so which the PAS leadership has had to step in.

pas mustafa ali pc 090609PAS Secretary-General Mustafa Ali (left) moved fast to clarify which it is not the party's central stance to validate Hadi as premier.

Mustafa additionally reminded bloc leaders as good as supporters which the question of who will turn the Prime Minister under the Pakatan supervision should not be incited in to the polemic.

He pointed out which the make the difference was usually lifted during the debate as good as was not part of any stipulation during the muktamar. That is the valid explanation, of course. But the timing of such the ask so tighten to the ubiquitous choosing does not bode good for Pakatan.

Call it democracy as good as freedom of speech, though I would have thought which sure topics should not have been brought up for debate during the muktamar. It does not speak good of the bloc to move the disagreements upon vital issues out in the open, or to rinse the unwashed linen in public during the eleventh hour. If anything else, it usually exposes the glaring disunity as good as miss of bargain as good as congruity in between Pakatan partners.

BN leaders have been right away observant w! hich the 'PM dispute' in in between PAS as good as DAP has unprotected Pakatan's fervour for power.

A territory of voters contingency right away be wondering either they should go for such the frail partnership like Pakatan. Some could be meditative which perhaps BN, being some-more stable, is the safer bet. Talk about the demon we know, to allude to Dr Mahathir Mohamad.

Make the decision now

So is Hadi budding ministerial material? It depends upon who we speak to. raja petra kamaruddin as good as islamic statePopular blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin (left), in his common sarcastic tone, ranted: "Oh, Hadi Awang is not acceptable. It contingency be Anwar Ibrahim. PAS leaders have been not suitable or good enough. They have been not smart enough.

"They can't even speak English the Winston Churchill way. PAS leaders have been some-more suited for the kampong, not for the general stage. PAS leaders will never be able to run the country. They can't even run the state properly."

PAS Deputy President Mohamad Sabu, who is not an ulama, doesn't consider his boss is PM-material either. Ha, we can usually theory what the boss feels about his emissary now. At the muktamar, Mat Sabu pronounced Anwar is the undisputed preference though the following day, pronounced the last decision rests with the Pakatan leadership.

Meanwhile, we usually know as well good which DAP as good as PKR leaders have been stressing upon the accord which Anwar is the anointed one.

NONEDAP supremo Lim Kit Siang contingency have declared his party's mou! nt in ba cking Anwar the million times, particularly given PAS has not given up the hudud law agenda.

"Making Anwar the default Prime Minister could ease the Chinese community. Anwar is additionally some-more suitable than Hadi in conditions of capacity, since Anwar has the wealth of administrative experience, while Hadi is an expert in religion, though not economy," Lim has said.

But PAS loyalists demand which their President has the best credentials to be PM as he has no scandals plaguing him, is the devout Muslim as good as is President of the biggest celebration in Pakatan.

Whatever it might be, Pakatan contingency confirm once as good as for all who it wants as Prime Minister if the bloc comes in to energy Anwar or Hadi. However, the single fact is well known to all don't design Anwar to settle for anything less than the Prime Minister's post or to fool around second-fiddle to Hadi.

Karpal during DAP AGMAs for the DAP, Karpal (left) must have supposed his domestic fate which he can never ever be Prime Minister.

What the shame, really. The world's biggest democracy, India, is fine with the minority Sikh, Manmohan Singh, as Prime Minister.

Malaysia is usually the little democracy with an over-flow of politicians carrying pea-size brains. Hence, they always consider small. That's why Pakatan cannot even determine upon the budding ministerial claimant though is ambitious sufficient to enterprise the takeover of Putrajaya. God, help Malaysia as good as Malaysians.

Words and Actions dont gel, Mr. Prime Minister

December 19, 2012

Words as well as Actions do not gel, Mr. Prime Minister

by Kapil Sethi@http://www.themalaysianinsider.com

NajibIn a recent essay in a International Herald Tribune, a Prime Minister expressed concern about a challenges caused to Muslim countries by a taking flight numbers of immature Muslims facing tutorial as well as employability issues, whilst being able to express their frustrations to a wider universe regulating a Internet.

"They make an effort to universe class education. And they direct open as well as under obligation government." He additionally went upon to contend which "access to preparation is improving, though many immature people still find which their preparation do not compare a opportunities available."

It is indeed excellent which a Prime Minister has articulated a little of a biggest issues of concern to immature Malaysians as well as their relatives which includes an open as well as under obligation supervision which prioritises universe class preparation for all, aligned to a needs of employers in a ? la mode environment.

Therefore it is all a some-more startling which a actions of a supervision appear to bear no attribute with his views. While there are no Malaysian institutions of higher learning in a top 100 in a world, as well as Malaysian scores in a Trends in International Mathematics as well as Science investigate 2011 (TIMSS) for Year 4 as well as Form 2 students have been invariably falling, a preparation apportion was quoted in March as having said which a Malaysian preparation complement was improved than which in a US, UK as well as Germany.

Concerned relatives spearheaded by a Parents Action Group upon Education (PAGE) have been agit! ating fo r years for their immature kids to continue to have a choice to investigate Mathematics as well as Science in English, usually to be completely rebuffed by a new preparation blueprint, to a indicate of no textbooks being made accessible in English for a coming propagandize year.

As a peculiarity of Malaysian preparation declines invariably upon all general benchmarks, a series of As awarded by local hearing play appear to be upon a incessant upswing.

As a perception of a Malaysian open propagandize complement tumble to new lows, a numbers of in isolation as well as general schools climb exponentially, for those who can means them. As a series of Malaysian students entering a many appropriate universities in a universe stagnates, a series of in isolation colleges of middling peculiarity on condition which degrees during outrageous prices locally explodes.

By politicians mixing issues of access to world-class preparation with linguistic, secular as well as eremite issues, a incident is set to get even worse. The antithesis coalition, additionally heedful of a viewed electoral recoil from linguistic nationalists has directed clear of endorsing PAGE's mount upon English in education, instead proposing to waive outstanding investigate loans offered under a PTPTN scheme.

The Prime Minister plainly states which for meaningful reforms to occur, he needs an additional charge from a electorate, to illustrate abdicating all shortcoming for a stream mess.

Meanwhile as well many college-going Malaysians are majoring in subjects which usually lead to jobs in eremite departments as well as an already-bloated civil service, a in isolation sector cannot find graduates which can articulate a single cogent thought, as well as a brain drain of a many appropriate as well as a brightest continues.

The class divide widens, with rich relatives able to give their brood a significant value over alternative Malaysian relatives by on condition which access to universe class preparatio! n denied their reduction fortunate peers.

Too mostly in Malaysia, a actions of those with power as well as shortcoming do not compare up with their rhetoric. This substantially explains a difference in a Prime Minister's personal popularity ratings as well as which of a bloc to which he belongs.

He says a right things some-more mostly than not, though a rest of his party as well as a supervision respond ineffectually during best, as well as just a conflicting of what he preaches during worst.

While a republic ponders a difference in between 1 Malaysia as well as Malay first as well as politicians brawl over hudud, it might already be as well late for a little immature Malaysians to make a many appropriate of their potential.

Civil multitude contingency act right away to vigour both BN as well as PR to make known obviously their views upon a approach forward for Malaysian education, so which voters can select a vision which benefits theirchildren a most, as well as reason them under obligation for its implementation. The destiny of a republic is as well critical to be hold warrant by hypocritical politics.

Dengar dia bersuara berikut:

PENDEDAHAN BERAPI! BUKTI PAS MENJADI ANJING DAP! RAKYAT PERAK WAJIB JAUHI PAS

Kita sokong mereka ibarat sokong DAP.

Fikir-fikirkanlah

The Question is What will Malays Gain rather than what willl Malays lose if UMNO Loses

Amanat Hadi punca Memali

Ikuti video ceramah Dato Zulkifli Nordin bagaimana Amanat hadi menjadi punca perpecahan ummah dan pencetus Peristiwa Memali 1984 berikut:

Political Showmanship, Public Indecency or Khalwat?

PAS has the single after another to justice debate over its preference to reprove non-Muslim couples for committing "khalwat" (close proximity). According to PAS Supporters Congress conduct Hu Pang Chaw, the case of the 4 non-Muslims who were hauled up for "khalwat" in Kota Baru, Kelantan, could just be the tip of an iceberg.

The couples involved were non-Muslims. And, the enforcement officers were biased in issuing the summonses from an Islamic stand. This is not fair. There could be more of such cases in which the rights of non-Muslims have been violated, but not revealed," he said.

It is utterly obvious which the PAS state care has been dragging their feet over this issue as well as an progressing the single upon unisex hair saloon which was even more absurd.

Anyway, prior to these issues have been incited in to another ugly ethno-religious brawl as well as manipulated by unscrupulous politicians to serve their own purpose you have to keep the straight conduct as well as carry out the emotion in analyzing them.

There have been multiform points which contingency be simplified in these controversies:
  • Why have been these enforcement officers so adamant upon portion summonses upon non-Muslims? Were these summonses issued based upon Islamic mount or upon indeed open obscenity ground?
  • Is committing open obscenity indeed the non-Muslim rights? To what extend these acts can be tolerated? Surely the line has to be drawn, regardless the eremite motivation, to ensure which any act does not encroach in to the crack of open morality.
  • MCA's Dr Ng Y! en Yen s aid the state supervision should not reprove any non-Muslims generally in open open area. Is she completely right or it is even more pertinent to carry out the passionate urges in open areas?
  • Islamic officials have no right to reprove any non-Muslims based upon their eremite standpoint. We should not inspire the imposition of Islamic eremite discipline as well as ethics upon non-Muslims. But you should additionally be careful upon claiming what have been the rights of non-Muslims.
Our rights do not include committing open indecency, generally those acts which have been most appropriate achieved in private as well as only in the company of those participating the acts, as well as you should be obliged not to bring nuisance to others generally the Muslims whom competence not feel gentle looking during such acts of physical intimacy.
We should keep the transparent conduct when you discuss such violation of rights. It is obviously dangerous which parties such as MCA, Gerakan as well as MIC have been trying their utmost most appropriate to politicize these controversies as well as turn them in to another political conflict against the opposition.
Gerakan had even questioned the Penang state supervision increased allocation for Islamic affairs in the state as well as claimed which the DAP is starting Islamic. These have been signs display things have been commencement to get out of hand. Hopefully, PAS is not doing the same in Kelantan as well as Kedah to strengthen their own Islamic credentials.
On the other hand, PAS should investigate these incidents as well as provide us with the obliged as well as convincing report upon what had essentially transpired in those actions as well as summonses. It is most appropriate to keep as well as pr! otect Mal! aysia's multicultural as well as multiethnic fabric instead of starting extreme as well as overboard with sure belief.

All Eyes have been on President SBY

    By Karim Raslan@http://www.thestar.com.my

    Susilo-bambang-n31

Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's revisit is really critical in the face of the many opportunities as good as challenges for the dual neighbours as they seek to raise shared ties.

WHEN the personality of the world's fourth many populous republic as good as Asia's fifth largest manage to buy (by Purchasing Power Parity) makes the foreign visit, the horde republic takes notice all the some-more so when which horde republic is Malaysia.

President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono's attainment in Kuala Lumpur currently is therefore really critical economically, politically, militarily as good as even culturally. As China gathers in strength to the north as good as ASEAN's resolve is challenged time as good as again, the Malaysia-Indonesia shared relationship, (one of the regional grouping's core foundations) becomes ever some-more critical.

Moreover, carrying been in energy given 2004, Susilo, as Indonesia's initial personality to have participated in the G20 meetings, is really most the personality on the global stage.

And while many Indonesians feel which Malaysians exclude to acknowledge (and/or have been blind to) the Republic's thespian turn-around given Soeharto's tumble from energy in 1998, the truth is utterly the opposite.

Malaysians as good as generally business as good as political leaders have been all too aware of Indonesia's emergence as good as its growing might.

Indeed, it has become the source of substantial concern. For example, it is clear which the tide which swept Indonesian work to Malay! sian sho res in the 80's as good as 90's has now receded. The Republic's mounting wealth will keep workers during home. Meanwhile the critical cause in the Malaysian economic miracle cheap work will have to be recalibrated.

However, to my mind there is the single core complaint which will go on to nag the shared relationship. Speaking now as the columnist as good as the media practitioner operative with colleagues as good as friends in both Kuala Lumpur as good as Jakarta, it's clear which conjunction side has yet to come to conditions with the elemental socio-political differences which developed post-Second World War as good as post-Merdeka.

Malaysians as good as Indonesians lend towards to demeanour during the single an additional through the lens of the own particular chronological as good as cultural experiences.

We highlight the similarities the shared linguistic, religious as good as ethnic composition, the serumpun as good as dont consider about the really genuine differences, as good as unnecessary to say the differences have been substantial. In essence, Malaysia has been ruled by the quasi-aristocratic Malay elite (of which I'm the paid up member!) given 1957.

By approach of contrast, Indonesia's history has been scattered as good as dramatic. Consider the pro-Marhaen, ultra-nationalist rhetoric of the Soekarno years, followed by the traumatic blood-letting of the midst 60's, Soeharto's Orde Baru as good as afterwards the second period of uncertainty prior to Susilo's ascendance.

Our particular chronological narratives have made how you think, how you behave as good as how you correlate with the single another: changing us irrevocably. Yes, you speak the same denunciation but what we're observant is during times mutually unintelligible. Ironically, what this means is which you share too most to be cool, dispassionate as good as pragmatic.

Nonetheless, we're advantageous which both inhabitant leaders have been by inlet rational, unexcitable gentlemen. ! Both rej ect flamboyance as good as rabble-rousing. This has helped calm the intensity turbulence.

However, with the political temperature rising in both countries due to the imminence of inhabitant elections, the dual men's capability to rage the some-more colourful (and during times downright abusive) personalities will diminish.

With made at home politics assuming centre-stage, both sides will need to take caring not to give offence.Certainly it would be foolish for Malaysian leaders to speculate too plainly (as other regional capitals have done) as to the probability of the Prabowo presidency.

We need to remember which Susilo is the intelligent operator with an measureless inhabitant support base. Furthermore, the 2014 presidential polls have been the marathon.

Given these factors, I think the President may good be formulation to take the leaf out of the Lula (Brazil's much-loved former President) play-book.

Back in 2010, Lula was in most the same situation, carrying finished dual conditions as president. Recognising which his political lieutenants were unsuited for the highest office, Lula comparison Dilma Roussef, the constant as good as able technocrat (also his Chief of Staff) to lift on his legacy.

Using his powers as an obligatory as good as his undeniable popularity, Lula secured Brasilia for his protegee thereby ensuring his role as the name grise of her administration. Don't be surprised, afterwards if Susilo reaches opposite to Brazil for his strategy.

Similarly, the upcoming Malaysian general election promises to be the bruising as good as divisive knowledge the single which Malaysians have to bear by themselves.

Whilst the shared meetings will be tactful as good as elegantly managed, rest assured there'll be many some-more thespian incidents as both countries rigging up for elections, generally as prolonged as the elemental differences I've outlined have been ignored.

On Dirty Money Outflow, Malaysia is No 2

    by Steven Gan@http://www.malaysiakini.com

Close to RM200 billion of unwashed income was siphoned out of Malaysia in 2010, putting a country second only to Asian mercantile powerhouse China in tellurian collateral flight.Washington-based monetary watchdog Global Financial Integrity (GFI), in a ultimate inform which marks collateral flight, says a turn of unlawful flows from Malaysia in 2010 was a tip in 10 years.

azlanGFI has introduced a brand new as well as some-more conservative methodology in a estimates of unlawful monetary outflows, which help to zero in exclusively upon unwashed money. As such, estimates from a prior reports have been revised.

Last year, GFI put a figure of unlawful outflows for Malaysia in 2009 at US$ 46.86 billion (RM143.3 billion). This has been altered to US$ 30.41 billion (RM93 billion).

The ultimate inform finds a thespian jump of collateral moody in Malaysia from US$ 30.41 billion (RM93 billion) in 2009 to US$ 64.38 billion (RM196.8 billion) in 2010.

GFI has nonetheless to obtain data for 2011 as well as 2012, though these will be included in destiny reports.

The tellurian monetary watchdog has warned which collateral moody in Malaysia is "at a scale seen in few Asian countries".

The GFI report, 'Illicit Financial Flows From Developing Countries: 2001-2010, is co-authored by GFI economists Sarah Freitas as well as Dev Kar, who is a former senior economist at a International Monetary Fund.

azlanAccording to GFI, for a accumulative unlawful monetary outflows over 10 years from 2001 to 2010 Malaysia is ranked No 3 in a world, after China as well as Mexico.

The sum 10-year estimate for Malaysia is US$ 285 billion (RM871.4 billion), while China is US$ 2,740 billion, as well as Mexico, US$ 476 billion.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak has disputed GFI's figures. Last year, he gave Parliament a most lower figure of RM135.3 billion for unlawful collateral outflows from 2000 to 2009.

Nevertheless, GFI data was backed by a opposite study progressing this year by another organisation a London-based Tax Justice Network, which found Malaysia among a tip countries when it comes to collateral flight.

Graft accounts for 20% of unwashed money

GFI pronounced which traffic mispricing a use of changeable profits overseas by over- or under-invoicing intra-company exchange accounts for an normal of 80.1 percent of unlawful monetary flows from building countries. The rest of a unwashed income involves corruption.

azlan"Illicit transfers of a deduction of corruption, bribery, theft, as well as kickbacks, accounting upon normal for 19.9 percent of unlawful outflows over a decade, have been upon a rise as a percentage of sum unlawful monetary outflows," pronounced GFI.

"Crime, corruption, as well as taxation semblance price a building universe US$ 858.8 billion in 2010, only next a all-time high o! f US$ 8 71.3 billion set in 2008."

GFI described a estimates of tellurian unwashed income as "extremely conservative" as they do not include traffic mispricing in services, same-invoice traffic mispricing, hawala transactions, as well as dealings conducted in bulk cash.

NONE"This equates to which most of a deduction of drug trafficking, human smuggling, as well as alternative criminal activities, which have been often staid in cash, have been not included in these estimates," pronounced Kar (right).

Asia is a greatest losers of capital, says a GFI report. "We found which Asia, accounting for 61.2 percent of accumulative outflows, was still a categorical driver of such flows from building countries.

"Indeed, 5 of a 10 countries with a largest unlawful outflows China, Malaysia, a Philippines, India, as well as Indonesia have been in Asia."

GFI pronounced increasing transparency in a tellurian monetary complement is vicious to stemming a outflow of unlawful income from building countries.

NONEFollowing a release of a prior GFI inform in Jan final year, Najib, who is also a Finance Minister, kicked a ball to Bank Negara's court, observant which it would yield an reason upon a findings.

Soon after, Deputy Finance Minister Donald Lim voiced which Bank Negara has launched a probe.

But to date, Bank Negara has nonetheless to announce a outcome of a investigations or explain a massive unlawful col! lateral flight, despite offers of help from tip GFI economists.

"In a strange list presented to a Cabinet in February, it was stated which RM100 million grant would be channelled to 369 partially-aided Tamil schools national for three categories, namely maintenance as well as upgrade, building a single some-more blocks as well as building brand brand new schools.
"But in a revision finished by MIC in May, a celebration leadership marked down a number of schools to 224 only. What happened to a rest?" alleged Padnmanagan.
The schools affected were in Johor (48 to 29), Malacca (11 to 3), Negeri Sembilan (43 to 17), Pahang (23 to 13), Perak (80 to 33), Penang (19 to 8) as well as Selangor (55 to 29).
Training his guns during Padnmanagan, Mohan referred to a former's allegation as "utter nonsense."
"MIC's pursuit is only to prepare a list of schools in need of aid. How a supports have been managed as well as channelled falls under a reach of a Education Ministry," he said.
He additionally defended a ministry's preference to carry over grant to sure s! chools, observant a little schools indispensable supports some-more urgently than another.
"Some schools need supports to build brand brand new blocks as well as a little might need it to repair a building's decayed roof. So which a single do we prioritise? Obviously, it would be a latter," pronounced Mohan.
For schools which have yet to receive funds, a MIC personality urged them to be studious as a ministry would channel a assist as soon as possible.
On Padnmanagan, Mohan urged a bend personality to reason contention with a celebration leadership should he have any issues upon how Tamil schools supports have been being distributed.
"Come talk to me. Don't simply give bad broadside upon MIC just because we have personal fight against someone," he said.

The AES is not being reviewed

The complement stays, prosecution aspects examined. YB Mahfuz Omar was already celebrating "victory" opposite a AES. My crony Chegubard was claiming credit upon interest of his outfit, SAMM. "We told we so, SAMM did say a supervision was going to postpone a AES," he said online.

The government, however, is not suspending a AES. Nor is it reviewing a system. The AG has motionless to solidify justice proceedings associated to summonses issued underneath a AES to study authorised concerns raised. Repeat: Concerns upon a law as well as alternative technicalities.

A preference will be made upon these concerns in a subsequent few days. In a meantime, we beat which red light bro, as well as we will still get a black eye from AES.

Read a Star's story below as well as following which my comments upon why I don't think for a single moment which a authorities will review a system.

The Automated Enforcement System or AES is internationally attempted as well as tested. The AES cameras have helped authorities in a UK, Australia, a US, Singapore as well as elsewhere fortify motorists as well as reduce trade accidents as well as fatalities (and more). In Malaysia, it is commencement to take effect. The series of summonses issued is down by almost 80 per cent from a time it was introduced. In alternative words, people have been making sure which they don't mangle a law.

The AES is forcing motorists to respect a trade laws once again. They have been starting to relearn to stop when a tra! de light turns red! More than 16,000 people caught by AES cameras for violation a speed extent as well as for committing alternative trade offences have paid their fines. There is no reason, therefore, for a authorities to postpone a complement which is operative for a good of a infancy of road users.
