From boast to downright disgrace

The modus operandi to safeguard Sabah remained Umno's "fixed deposit" bordered upon "treason" at a top level as well as was a state-sponsored organized crime.
KOTA KINABALU: It used to be Umno's as well as a Barisan Nasional's claim, done with a little swagger, which Sabah is their "fixed deposit" state. The exaggerate was meant to communicate a summary to a opposition which they were untouchable. As it turned out, it was true.
The statute bloc had in truth stuffed a list boxes in a state sufficiently, though not in a common way, to safeguard Sabah would always be in their dilemma in their bid to cling to upon to reins of power. But which self-important countenance is entrance back to haunt them.
The first week of justification entertainment by a Royal Commission of Inquiry (RCI) in to a massive participation of bootleg immigrants in a state emphasised this.
The account so distant is which what started as a refugee complaint morphed in to an bootleg immigrant complaint as well as afterwards became a process to re-engineer a race of a state to simulate Muslim prevalence from its local Christian infancy origins at a founding of Malaysia in 1963.
From there it again changed shape as well as became an purported bootleg citizenship-for-votes plan to column up a shaky bloc supervision which has ruled Malaysia for more than 50 years as well as Sabah for roughly dual decades.
The modus operandi which was used to safeguard Sabah became Umno's "fixed deposit" state, bordered upon state-sponsored organized crime while a little would put it as "treasonous" wake up at a top supervision levels.
Witness after w! itness s ettled as most over a last week.

Dr M: Project IC legal

Former budding apportion Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, under whose watch a hitherto Christian state became populated by a Muslim majority, had finally come out to admit which Project IC was loyal though which all was done legally.
However, former civil servants who served during his time in power, bootleg immigrants as well as refugees appear to protest his statement by telling a commission of a surreptitious nature of a distribution of Malaysian marker writings which led to them gaining citizenship as well as right to vote.
Top Sabah National Registration Department (NRD) officers spoke of an operation codenamed 'Operation Rotten Durian' as well as by all accounts this operation reached in to a top offices together with those of Mahathir's trusted aides as well as in truth Mahathir himself.
He seems to confirm this when he said last week: "When you was budding minister, you was in energy to determine a implementation of supervision policies.
"The supervision received foreigners to be adults if (they) over certain conditions, similarly those who have been there have been not one, dual days though already twenty to thirty years as well as they speak in Bahasa Melayu, have a right to be Malaysians.
"So a complaint is when there have been people who have been unhappy when there have been a little who turn Malaysians although those individuals have already long resided in Malaysia, which is what causes problems."
Speaking at a press conference in Kuala Lumpur upon Thursday, as a overwhelming nature of a RCI witness statements sank in, he regularly stressed which this giving of citizenships to foreigners was "within a law".
"I never repudiate it (citizenships) were given. What you repudiate is which you did something against a law, which you will deny," he was reported as saying.
The justification collected so di! stant sp eaks for itself as well as doesn't leave a former budding apportion most room to manoeuvre in a minds of Sabahans with an eye upon a elections at slightest though these have been still early days for a RCI.
Nevertheless, most of what has been revealed at a persisting RCI is not new.
Damning confirmations
Books upon a subject by well-known blogger Mutalib MD as well as Dr Chong Eng Leong's 'Lest you Forget' with painstakingly gathered justification settled as much.
Up to now what they said remained insinuations as well as allegations. The first week upon a RCI open hearing contingency have been song to their ears.
Witnesses advanced as well as combined legitimacy to their claims of something rotten having taken place in a state as well as they have been vindicated.
It is left to be seen if Umno as well as its leaders will still brave to exaggerate of Sabah as their "fixed deposit" state in a entrance general elections. If anything, which brag has turn a slap in a face for Sabahans.

Bawani-Zohra Episode emblematic of Malaysia in an "Amuck-Latah" Mode

by Dr. Azly Rahman@http://www.malaysiakini.com

Dr Azly RahmanAs the tyro of Cultural-Philosophical Studies with the passion in in advance tutorial shift framed within the context of cybernating-hypermodern societies such as Malaysia, you see the "Bawani-Zohra Affair" as emblematic of the republic left berserk upon the issue of freedom of speech as well as the enlightenment of sermon as well as open discourse.

We have been in an 'amuck-latah' mood. The nation, during slightest in cyberspace, is mad (amuck) of what happened, as well as the protagonist of the promotion appurtenance fumbled big-time (latah) presumption which the training techniques of the "top-down, humiliate-first, no-apologies later" of many the Biro Tata Negara speaker can still be deployed unreservedly onto university students during the time when amateur videos can go viral, when tweets can flow similar to the tsunami, as well as when Facebook pages can be created in the fraction of seconds.

That's the in error arrogance which the Frankenstein called "social media technology" will also not run amuck assisting those silenced to have their elegant justice, as well as those flustered to turn an fair being lifted to the level of stardom, overnight.

Listen, ListenIt is pronounced which during times, you do not need to find the series for the series will find you. The series found both Bawani as well as Zohra in such an 'absurd' way, such as in ! many of the plots of French surrealist dramas similar to Eugene Ionesco's rhinoceros using furious upon the city streets, as well as Kafka's impression moving from gloom to awareness in "Metamorphosis".

The timing was perfect, similar to which charge brewing right after the almost-a-million Malaysian march to take over Putrajaya; after the Deepak play which was over-played, overdosing even the older folks; after the successes of all those BERSIH rallies, as well as many alternative watersheds upon watersheds of consciousness-raising events, as well as ultimately, after the final hand circa GE13 all these completed the aptitude of the fateful "Bawani-Zohra" rendezvous.

Hence, Malaysians saw not usually an blast of anger, though the single which fuelled tremendous amounts of creative products, especially in the area of multimedia (music videos, Facebook as well as Internet posters, audio as well as video materials, as well as the prolongation of alternative forms of creative artifacts desirous by the mantra "listen-listen-listen").

That is my observation, despite too, as the 'participant-observer' who managed to contribute to the sermon through my open writings here upon Facebook, as well as in my alternative column in Malaysia-Today. you have regularly found examples of the chaos as well as complexity theory during work in these kinds of phenomena; the "butterfly effect" of Malaysian open discourse, which must be framed in the many kaleidoscopic as well as multidimensional way.

Mind-controlling machinery?

In this case, the simple couple of mins of verbal exchange in the sermon upon the campus situatedAnimals have problems approach up in the "boonies" as the Appalachians in Ohio would say, can have inclusive impacts up compartment now, h! eading t o even the fall of the Barisan Nasional system of administration which has, for the final 30 years, been using the universities as the place wherein the human mind of student, staff, as well as even expertise would essentially need to "shut up as well as listen-listen-listen".

At the same time, the leaders will be carrying big sticks as well as vocalization not-so-gently, so which the entire mind-controlling machine can function effectively while being abandoned of critical sensibility. For too long, multitude has authorised such stupefication to occur via the work of government-controlled propaganda-producing agencies lerned in Soviet-styled mind-bending, mind-numbing, as well as mind-emptying strategies so which the dying beliefs of one-race dominancy in the self-glorified, ill-intentioned '1Malaysian' sloganism can prevail.

Even when the world outward has deteriorated mixed times as well as left through the routine of adaptations as the effect of globalisation as well as the stability relevancy of cosmopolitanism. you do not know, these have been my ramblings for the day, folks my Joycean stream-of-consciousness mood speaking:

Watching how the Mandelbrott set of Malaysian universities will play out; examination how the butterflies in this absurd play will strap their wings; as well as examination how the ancient Malay dialectics of deadly dualism will be spoken.

funny_monkey

The "amuck-latah" syndrome will be transmutated into newer forms in the hypermodern multitude in the bipolar Malaysia trying to live in suitability with an ill-constructed '1Malaysia' while multitude is firmly broken by implosive devices same to the famous 'C4 used to end the life of the young Mongolian mother of the really young kid a little time ago, when law was still the remains watchful! to come alive.

I do not know, though there have been right away minds in those Malaysian universities which have been refusing to only "listen-listen-listen" until the law explodes as well as destroys the creators of falsehood. Please share your thoughts humbly of course. But where do you go from here?

In Dr M's book, cheating is legal

YOURSAY'Granting citizenship to bootleg immigrants is legal? If so, underneath which Act does it come under? If there is no such enactment, how can it be legal?'

Dr M: Yes, Filipinos since citizenship, it was all legal

your sayOnyourtoes:Former PM Dr Mahathir Mohamad, we have been not articulate of those qualified for citizenship. So do not obstruct as good as deviate from a categorical indicate of row here.

We have been articulate about giving blue ICs (identity cards) or citizenship to foreigners deliberately, fraudulently as good as stealthily so as to shift a demography of Sabah.

By a way, if those in Sabah could validate for citizenship so easily, because have been there so many others in Peninsular Malaysia, generally Indians as good as Chinese, who were persistently denied citizenship?

You listen, we must pay.

Malaysian Joe:How can Mahathir review these Filipinos to a Chinese as good as Indians who fought for independence together with a Malays, contributed much to a nation's book in taxes, worked in a plantations as good as mines to have Malaysia a world's greatest producer in rubber/palm oil as good as tin?

If this was finished in any alternative republic - augmenting a state's race by roughly 100 percent in a decade - it would be deliberate treason.

Yeoh Chee Weng:The "one million utter people" supported Malaysia's initial PM Tunku Abdul Rahman as good as a Alliance to gain independence. These "unqualified" people contributed their work in a tin mines, rubber estates as good as! their e nterprise brought resources as good as prosperity to a nation.

If a ex-PM equates them with a Filipino immigrants, afterwards we challenge BN to reveal a taxes, direct as good as indirect, which have been picked up from these Filipino immigrants in comparison to a taxes contributed by three generations of non-Malay adults since Independence.

Clearwater:So, all bootleg immigrants take note. If we can hedge a authorities for twenty years, sense to verbalise Malay as good as be Muslim, we have a right to be a Malaysian citizen. Other stateless Malaysians, sorry, you! obviousl! y do not encounter Mahathir's criteria.

FellowMalaysian:Mahathir's claim which everything was on top of house sounds rather frightful to me. Is he telling us which there were a lot more of such citizenship-for-vote approvals as good as many of a recipients reside in Peninsular Malaysia as well?

And which this disguise has been in a practice despite in a hush demeanour since 1994? Doesn't which explain a brand new hike of 500,000 brand new voters in Selangor alone?

If it is authorised as good as on top of house as attested by Mahathir, because is a government gripping it a inhabitant tip over a past twenty years?

God Bless Malaysia:Mahathir's quote: "Malaysia accepts foreigners to become adults provided which they encounter certain conditions. Many of them in Sabah were not there for a day or two, but twenty or 30 years as good as can verbalise Malay. They have a right to be citizens."

My mother was innate in Malaysia in 1945. Despite a attempts, she has nonetheless to get her citizenship. we pretence her right to citizenship is delegate to a 'VIP' refugees/foreign visitors.

FairMind:When Tunku gave out citizenship, it was with a consent of all a parties in a Alliance, a British as go! od as a Conference of Rulers. What was finished in Sabah, as good as maybe in Peninsular Malaysia, can never be official in a thousand years, generally when it was finished clandestinely.

When citizenship was since to a Chinese as good as Indians, they contributed to a republic by helping to build this country. When citizenship was since to a immigrants, they mostly compete with a local bumiputeras for a singular handouts.

Dr M is being untruthful as good as rapist when he draws together in between a two. People have been not which stupid anymore. Who does he consider we are, kids?

Geronimo:Granting citizenship to bootleg immigrants is legal? If so, underneath which Act does it come under? If there is no such dramatization passed by Parliament, afterwards how can it be authorised or lawful?

Mahathir, please, many of us were not innate yesterday. You authorised a republic to be inundated by foreigners. As such, a sovereignty as good as security have been compromised. We thus cruise this to be an action of treason.

Do we know what they do to traitors? They hang them as good as bury them in ! different g! raves. By a way, what have been a royalties doing? Don't we consider so it's payback time for what he did to we all?

Cala:Mahathir cannot only have a unconditional statement only like which to justify an action which has distant reaching consequences to a country. Has he ever obtained approval from a cabinet/parliament prior to he released a directive?

What is just a process of extenuation citizenship to foreign immigrants? What about a manipulation of a electoral rolls? The final issue itself would have landed him to jail.

Anonymous #46317055:This is a inhabitant crime of a top order - treason. As PM at which time; we had a authority to have which "legal" only to seaside up your political base.
< span>The cat is out of a bag. It is time to compensate for your crimes. My Malay brethren, your champion had sole your legacy to foreigners for votes to enlarge his energy base as good as his family's wealth. What have been we starting to do about it?

Gandalf:So let me get this true - for me to get a Malaysian citizenship, we have to go to a Philippines, come in as an bootleg newcomer from a Philippines to Sabah, promis! e to vote! for BN as good as wallah, all those years of struggling to get my citizenship, nonetheless we was innate as good as residing in Malaysia for 50 years, is over.

Overnight, we am a Malaysian.

Not Here:Gandalf, we forgot a many critical thing - we need to be Muslim, too. - Malaysiakini Read More @ Source

Wajah pengedar Bible BM tersebar.

Pendapat aku ;

1. Bible bm = penang

2. Lim Guan Eng = DAP = Penang

3. Lim Guan Eng = pernah minta BIBLE BM diberikan kelulusan untuk diterbitkan.

Aku tak tuduh2. Rileks oke.

They pronounced instead of fighting crime, a military were right away too bustling defending themselves from a ban stories traded during new heated exchanges in between former Inspector-General of Police Tan Sri Musa Hassan as well as former conduct of a Commercial Crimes Department Datuk Ramli Yusuff.

For Sri Lanka, its all in the family

January 18, 2013

For Sri Lanka, it's all in a family

by Arjuna Ranawana@http://www.nst.com.my

NEVER in Sri Lanka's post-independence history has so most energy been concentrated in a hands of so few.

Dr Shirani BandaranayakeThe nasty, cruel as well as short impeachment routine of Dr Shirani Bandaranayake (left) from a post of Chief Justice as well as a appointment of Presidential Adviser Mohan Peiris as her replacement has emasculated a final institution bold sufficient to stand up to President Mahinda Rajapakse.

Most lawyers, judges as well as human rights activists saw a routine as deeply flawed as well as an attack upon a autonomy of a judiciary. The top justice in a land had opined which a impeachment was not in suitability with a law.

The pierce attracted international concern as well as condemnation. But Rajapakse paid scant mind as well as went ahead with a appointment of a brand brand new head of a courts.

Some would say Sri Lanka's top justice has been complicit in creation Rajapakse powerful. Ever given a brand brand new Republican constitution was promulgated in 1978 creating an senior manager presidency, which had a energy of appointing a judges to a Supreme Court, a top justice in a land has not struggled to keep a independence.

In fact, in multiform turning point judgments a Supreme Court helped strengthen a senior manager in decisions which dumbfounded jurists. For example, decisions such as a change in a procession for Members of Parliament to cranky a building without confronting a by-election done it possible for Rajapakse's statute coalition to assemble a two-third's majority in parliament.

In a past dual decades! or so, there has been no genuine tussle in between a senior manager as well as a judiciary. That was until now. A couple of months ago a dais of a Supreme Court headed by Dr Bandaranayake found which a due parliamentary bill which would give a President's brother, a cabinet minister, Basil, control over most of a expansion bill of a nation now devolved to Provincial Councils was unconstitutional.

That placed her in approach confrontation with a president, as well as a former CJ's supporters have been assured which is why she was sacked.

The finish result is which Sri Lanka right away has a President with loyal untrammelled powerPIX BY RUKMAL GAMAGE by his office as well as those of his siblings. The country's security forces have been underneath a control of Rajapakse's younger hermit a Defence Secretary Gotabhaya.

The orator of a Parliament constitutionally subsequent in line to a boss is an comparison hermit Chamil. And right away a alternative hermit Basil some-more or reduction controls a economy.

While a brand new energy struggle might have dreaming a nation in a past weeks, greater political as well as mercantile hurdles remain. Growth as well as unfamiliar investment has slowed given a post-war spurt.

In 2011, gross made during home product expansion was 8.3 per cent. It slowed sharply to 6.5 final year as well as is forecast to stay around which turn in a current year.

The cost of vital has risen sharply as well as a tumble in GDP rates is because of a contraction of import as well as trade trade. Sri Lanka partly depends upon a trade of light industrial goods as well as agricultural goods for a survival, as well as this is not a good sign.

The demilitarisation of a Tamil minority-dominated North as well as East as well as a efforts during settlement ha! ve been not surpassing during promised levels according to politicians representing those regions. Rather, university students in northern Jaffna have been arrested because they peacefully commemorated passed Tamil Tiger cadres.

Externally a nation could come underneath increasing pressure over human rights issues during international fora. The United Nations Human Rights Council has Sri Lanka upon a bulletin for a subsequent meeting.

To add to which a Commonwealth has been creation concerned noises about a impeachment routine as well as a efforts during reconciliation. The Commonwealth Heads of Government assembly is scheduled to be hold in Rajapakse's hometown of Hambantota after this year.

This is being touted as a major feather in a cap of a president. But Canada as well as a United Kingdom (two pass players in a Commonwealth) have voiced dismay during brand new events as well as might boycott a assembly causing him to lose face.

Rajapakse has almost absolute energy today. With which comes a outrageous responsibility. In a tussle with a judiciary, he has shown which he has no courtesy for a statute of a courts. The brand brand new CJ is a Rajapakse loyalist who controversially told a United Nations in a deposition defending a government's human rights jot down which a missing journalist was alive as well as well, vital in another country.

This was subsequently admitted by him in a Sri Lankan justice to be unverified information. By appointing such a chairman to a post of CJ a boss has shown he has little apply oneself for a autonomy of a courts.

No wonder many Sri Lankans have been feeling they have been standing upon a corner seeking into a dark abyss.

JANUARY 18, 2013BYRUZANNA ANIZA

IT'S BEEN SO SCARY HERE IN LENDU. EVERY NIGHT THERE'D BE A FEW CASES OF STOLEN ITEMS AND PEOPLE KENA RASUK, AND PUKAU.

The stolen items partial is creepy. First you'd be entering your room as well as you would consider all is fine. And afterwards you'll begin to realize which a single thing is missing. And afterwards dual things have gone missing, afterwards you realize which almost all profitable is missing from your room. And eventually you'll find a note saying this: "Nantikan ketibaan saya di kolej-kolej lain.", which rounded off translated means "Await my presence/arrival during a alternative colleges.". Oh by a way, here, you call dorms 'Kolej/College'. Four places have been pounded so far. All with a same note.
Rasuk, you saw with my own eyes. Real crazy stuff. Rasuk is when a thing enters your body, with a goal to harm you as well as a people around you, as well as use your physique to do assorted things. The lady during my turn proposed dancing, as well as laughing, as well as screaming as well as shouting, upon foot here as well as there, as ! well as it was starting in as well as out of her physique so it was similar to she was her a single second as well as an additional person a next.
When it was happening during a early stages, my roomates as well as you incited upon a Yaasin upon a orator as well as sat together. And afterwards you listened it: something screaming outward a window, as if perplexing to retard out a receptive to advice of a Yaasin. When you paused a playback, it stopped screaming. When you incited it back on, it proposed screaming again. It was horrific. So you told a senior, who was during a level, handling a lady which kena rasuk. She afterwards told us to only keep personification a Yaasin as well as omit a sound, or leave a room as well as go to an additional room as well as stay there. We did a latter.
When you went to a alternative room, as well as as you were only about to tighten a eyes to sleep, you listened a opposite sound: someone drumming during a window. Mind you, we're upon a third floor. Then you listened an additional sound: a drumming upon a bed posts. By which time, a lady which kena rasuk was already okay, though a seniors were still during a level. So you told a same comparison again what had happened, as well as she came in, along with 17 of a alternative seniors, who have been a members of a Majlis Tertinggi Kolej.
We sat in a circle, kept quite, as well as listened. Then you all listened it during a same time. We all only stayed in a room during a time, with no goal to leave during all, as well as you asked a seniors what happened a night before, or a alternative nights, as well as they told us which it's only been a college, as well as a single alternative boys' college. And it's utterly bad. Bad to a point where a Polis Bantuan, who have been a people who ensure a complete campus, had to be concerned in a search of a boys who kena rasuk, since guess what? They can fly. Yup, they freakin' jumped off a second floor of a college, as well as flew away.
As! you wer e telling a story, so many of us can listen to what was happening outward a window. Taps, screamings, shoutings, clappings.. you name it. And whilst a single of a seniors was speaking, an additional comparison was signaling towards a window, whilst a comparison which was vocalization only nodded as if to say, "Ignore it!" to her. She was describing to us what had happened in her room, as well as a single thing which happened was which she listened claps though only a single applause as well as during opposite intervals. She showed us a receptive to advice of a clap, as well as afterwards a whole room felt dual clever winds floating during opposite directions, as well as bam, a door opened by itself, as if kicked by something outside. But there was zero there.
That was when you all review a Yaasin together, as well as motionless which a complete room, all 20 of us, will not leave, since assumingly a thing was upon foot around a level, waiting for us to come out. And assumingly it was dancing a same dance a lady did when she kena rasuk, right outward a window. Scary stuff right there.
you consider which night is only a single of a nights which I'll only keep thinking about for years to come. you meant this is insane. you was scared. And I've never been scared of such things. I'll only have to keep thinking which God is with me as well as He as well as His difference from a Book will strengthen me better than anything else. God is greater than anything else, anywhere, any time. He is with me.
Last night, which was Thursday, night of Friday, each college kena kacau by a thing that's been rasuk-ing. My college was a misfortune since here you were, celebration of a mass a Yaasin, as well as afterwards three people proposed screaming, as if in pain. It's was a scariest. Even a three colleges near us could listen to a screaming. Word got out unequivocally quick so only as a college was being reported with rasuk, an additional college called in. An ustaz as well as some b! oys from a Majlis Penggerak Masjid were a first during a stage in a college. The YDP of Majlis Pewakilan Pelajar was there too.
Then you found out by Twitter which each college was land a bacaan Yaasin, all during a same time. College lights were flickering as well as whatnot, as well as each college was chilly all night. And, from what you review upon Twitter, a lot of people couldn't nap since of a sounds as well as a voices. But gosh, it was super creepy. you can still remember a screams.
The pukau part, is only unequivocally really frustrating. What these intruders will do is they will knock upon your door (or sometimes they only boat in, if you don't close it) as well as they will shake up your palm or daub your shoulder. By afterwards you're screwed. They'll begin talking unsteadiness to you, as well as 10 mins after you'll realize which you have taken out RM700 from your bank account as well as given it to these intruders, for a bottle, of literally nothing. They move unequivocally quickly. Everybody's only fearful of staying in their rooms by themselves right away since if they dont think about to close it, there's a higher possibility of kena pukau. And this pukau thing will only happen if there have been any carnivals/bazaar/fairs in a campus, which happens flattering most each dual weeks. Plenty people have been pukau-ed. It's a worst.
you don't know what's starting upon anymore. It's only been as well most lately. At a begin of a semester, all was fine. And afterwards a month later, creepy things begin to happen. Hope you can all be protected during this discouraging time. Just finish this so you can all be in peace. Thing is, you don't even know what you did which set off a annoy in a spirits around Lendu. All a events this week were all Islamic-oriented. Perhaps it's insane since of that, since dual nights ago, there was a speak in which a ustaz explained a Al-Fatihah. And he review it ever so beautifully. Just as he got to a third ayat, clever winds propos! ed blowi ng, as well as all went havoc. The projector shade fell scarcely hitting a ustaz's head, backdrop scarcely teared, a writings upon a registration tables flew around as well as man it was only creepy when a ustaz said "Ada benda tak nak saya teruskan bacaan saya ni.". When he said that, an additional clever breeze blew.
Ugh, you just.. this is freakin' frightful alright. What do you do about this alternative than urge for safety? you meant it's all a spirits here combined. Usually it's a single or dual only perplexing to disaster with everyone's head, though right away it's unequivocally only disturbing everyone upon campus for no sold reason. It's annoying, as well as creepy, frustrating. Scary too. Gosh, only finish this. End this now.

There is no Conspiracy Theory

There is no Conspiracy Theory

by Raja Petra Kamaruddin

The important thing is, whilst Dr Mahathir might have been guilty of 'reversing' what Tunku Abdul Rahman did, he did not action alone. This was not the single man's devise on how to safeguard which Barisan Nasional as well as UMNO do not remove power. It was the GOVERNMENT plan, with Dr Mahathir as conduct of which government, of course. And we contingency recollect which in 1991 Anwar was Malaysia's Finance Minister as well as in 1993 he became the Deputy Prime Minister. And the 'Christian' supervision of Sabah was toppled in 1994.

THE CORRIDORS OF POWER

Raja Petra Kamarudin

RPKOver the last dual years my studies in British as well as European story has been equates to to assistance me demeanour during events from the fresh perspective. When we complicated story behind in the school days in Malaysia it was merely the investigate of dates as well as events, as well as might be the personalities during the behind of those events.

Later they altered the synopsis to design as well as we only marked the correct answer: A, B, C, D or E. That brought the level of preparation down drastically as well as infrequently we upheld your exams by only creation the propitious guess during what the right answer is.

Here in Oxford we need to demeanour during the broader picture to understand why what happened, happened. And if we apply the Oxford module rsther than than the 'Pendidekan Malaysia' module (I am not even sure of the 'modern' Malay spelling any more) afterwards the Sabah 'illegal immigrants given Malaysian citizenship' emanate can be improved understood.

Many of we celebration of the mass this are probab! ly utter ly young, born after Merdeka of 1957 or after 'May 13' of 1969 or might be we were still the kid afterwards as well as did not know what was happening around you. Hence we will demeanour during the 'Sabah issue' from today's perspective. And hence, also, we only wish to know who the guilty chairman is in what we consider the many heinous 'crime' in your perspective tantamount to treachery.

Now, we am not observant what they did in Sabah is authorised or illegal, or even dignified or immoral. This square is not about right as well as wrong. Historians do not pass judgement about events in history. They only break down in to parts what happened as well as what, in their opinion, were the causes of which event.

First let us go to behind to 1946, the year UMNO was formed. In 1946, the British Colonial supervision introduced the Malayan Union, which marked down the powers of the Raja-raja Melayu (Malay Rulers). This, in turn, meant which the Malays would remove some of their powers. Hence the chosen as well as intellectuals amongst the Malays opposed the Malayan Union.

Yes, it was the Malay chosen class as well as the intellectual community as well as not the fishermen as well as farmers who opposed the Malayan Union. The kampong people did not really care given their lives would remain the same never mind who ran the country.

Because of this antithesis to the Malayan Union, in 1948 the British deserted the thought as well as instead introduced the Federation of Malaya or Persekutuan Tanah Melayu.

Next came the thought of Merdeka or independence. And this took many years of negotiations (no red blood on the streets, as what UMNO tells us). One emanate of regard to Britain was what to do with the some-more than the single million Chinese as well as Indians after Malaya was given Merdeka. They can't be sent behind to China as well as India so an eccentric Malaya had to catch them by giving them citizenship.

Now, no te what Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad said yesterday. He said which Tunku AbdulMahathir Rahman was worse. The Tunku gave citizenship to some-more than the single million foreigners. Maybe Dr Mahathir is perplexing to contend which he gave citizenship to reduction than the single million foreigners.

What Dr Mahathir did not explain is which the Tunku had to determine to the extenuation of citizenship to some-more than the single million Chinese as well as Indians, which was the British term as well as condition for agreeing to Merdeka for Malaya. If the Tunku did not determine afterwards the British would probably disagree to Merdeka for Malaya mainly given they had to 'protect' the some-more than the single million Chinese as well as Indians who would otherwise become stateless.

It was the sort of traffic off. Malaya would catch the some-more than the single million Chinese as well as Indians. The Chinese as well as Indians, in turn, contingency determine to special privileges for the Malays (plus Malay becomes the inhabitant denunciation as well as Islam the religion of the Federation). And afterwards Britain would accede to Malaya independence.

In 1955, dual years prior to Merdeka, the initial elections were hold in Malaya as well as the Alliance Party (a coalition of UMNO, MCA as well as MIC) won 51 of the 52 seats. That meant the Alliance Party was 'stable' as well as could order an eccentric Malaya with the transparent mandate from the voters. Two years later, in 1957, Malaya gained independence.

But which 'honeymoon' was short-lived. Twelve years later, in 1969, the Alliance celebration perceived the violence in the Third General Election. It garnered reduction than 50% of the popular votes as well as lost its two-thirds infancy in Parliament.

The Alliance Party (meaning all three: U! MNO, MCA as well as MIC) knew which it was losing power. Hence Barisan Nasional was formed to reinstate the Alliance Party so which the antithesis parties could be brought in to the statute coalition. And which was how the Alliance Party got behind carry out of the nation by combining the brand new coalition with the antithesis parties (what we could call the 'unity government', we suppose).

But which was not sufficient as well as they needed to do more. Selangor, the valuables in the crown, was in risk (it still is today). So they combined brand new 'Malay' cities, such as Shah Alam, as well as 'flooded' these cities with Malays to 'dilute' the Chinese voters.

Then they combined the apart Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur so which the infancy Chinese in Kuala Lumpur could be 'kicked out' of Selangor. Thus the statute celebration can equates to to remove Kuala Lumpur though they would not additionally remove Selangor.

By then, of course, Malaysia had been combined with the agreement which 25% of the Parliament seats would come from Sabah as well as Sarawak. This would mean which Sabah as well as Sarawak would be the statute party's 'fixed deposit' as well as there was no approach 1969 could be steady as prolonged as Sabah as well as Sarawak remained under the statute party.

But which soon altered in 1985 when PBS, seen as the Christian-based party, kicked out the 'Muslim' supervision as well as replaced it with the 'Christian' government.

This meant, yet again, the statute celebration was in risk of losing energy similar to what happened in 1969. And they were in risk of losing energy given the Muslims, who used to be 85-90% of the population, pre-Merdeka, had been marked down to the mere 50% or so in the initial instance when some-more than the single million Chinese as well as Indians had been given citizenship in 1957 as well as in the second instance when Sabah as well as Sarawak became partial of Malaysia as well as the Muslim race was widely separated even! further .

Hence Barisan Nasional (in particular UMNO) needed to dilute the non-Muslim population, in particular in their 'fixed deposit' states in East Malaysia which carry out the very critical 25% of the seats in Parliament as well as where the Muslims are not the infancy similar to in West Malaysia.

And which was when the thought was mooted to 'create' an additional Muslim race of during least the single million. And they could not wait for this to happen progressively over 50 years by encouraging Malays to have some-more children. They had to 'fast track' this exercise, which equates to they had to 'import' the population.

The initial step was for UMNO to get in to Sabah. The subsequent step was to 'import' the single million Muslims in to Sabah as well as give them citizenship. In 1994, this practice over those couple of years proved successful when the 'Christian' supervision got kicked out as well as the 'Muslim' supervision took over the state as well as has hold it ever since.

Now, positively Dr Mahathir was Prime Minister of Malaysia during which time. But it was the Barisan Nasional supervision (which equates to it was some-more than only UMNO) which came out with this diversion devise on how to squeeze behind and/or retain energy by diluting the non-Muslim race by importing the large Muslim population.

In 1957, they postulated citizenship to the single million 'foreign' Chinese as well as Indians as well as thirty years after they 'balanced' this by extenuation citizenship to the single million unfamiliar Muslims. There was zero bootleg about what they did though either it was dignified or not is another thing altogether.

DSAIThe important thing is, whilst Dr Mahathir might have been guilty of 'reversing' what Tunku Abdul Rahman did, he did not action alone. This was not the single man's devise on how to s! afeguard which Barisan Nasional as well as UMNO do not remove power.

And this happened not given of the single man, Dr Mahathir, though given of what the supervision did. And Anwar was the pass chairman in which supervision during which time. Hence we would be very clever about how the Opposition plays up the Sabah emanate given if the law were to emerge it might cost PKR the lot of votes in Sabah. And if they can't win Sabah afterwards they can't form the subsequent sovereign government.

KUNYIT HANGIT!!

Majlis Presiden Pakatan Rakyat apatah lagi.
