Melihat kepada prestasi yang ditunjukkan oleh Khairy Jamaluddin selaku Ketua Pemuda UMNO, rasa-rasanya jawatan Menteri yang diidam-idamkannya tidak layak buatnya. Sebaliknya, Khairy Jamaluddin perlu membuktikan bahawa Pemuda UMNO yang diketuaina itu merupakan satu badan atau sayap yang benar-benar berkesan dan menjadi pemangkin kepada sokongan pengundi-pengundi muda untuk parti tersebut serta Barisan Nasional sendiri.
Apa yang berlaku pada PRU13 sebenarnya, amat mendukacitakan. Bukan Pergerakan Pemuda sahaja yang gagal, bahkan Pergerakan Puteri UMNO juga langsung pincang dan tidak mampu digerakkan dengan efektif.
Kalau sudah jawatan Ketua Pemuda pun, tidak mampu ditanggung dan dilaksanakan tanggungjawab serta amanahnya, bagaiman! a pula a pabila Ketua Pemuda dilantik sebagai Menteri? Mampukah Ketua Pemuda UMNO memikul tanggungjawab-tanggungjawab tersebut?
Jangan hanya nanti, yang dikejar tak dapat, yang dikendong pula berciciran!
Sewajarnya Ketua Pemuda UMNO memberikan tumpuan kepada tugasnya yang utama berdasarkan apa yang diikrarkannya ketika bertanding untuk jawatan tersebut beberapa tahun lalu. Seharusnya juga, dia tidak memungkiri janjinya untuk tidak menjawat sebarang jawatan penting, selagi Pergerakan Pemuda UMNO gagal melaksanakan tugas yang diberikan kepada mereka.
Dalam keadaan sukar sekarang, gelagat yang ditunjukkan oleh Khairy Jamaluddin sebenarnya lebih mudah dirujuk sebagai MEMENTINGKAN DIRI berbanding mementingkan parti padahal ketika berkempen, lain pula yang dicakapkan dan diikrarkan!!!
