While budding skill rental in Malaysia's collateral city have remained solid at about RM7.36 per block foot (psf) for four unbroken quarters, a cost quarrel appears unavoidable in a nearby future as some-more blurb space becomes available, which will likely limit a asking cost as supply of net lettable space exceeds direct as well as landlords quarrel to retain tenants, a commercial operation daily reported.
"The slower take-up rate in brand new buildings has not yet translated to a decrease in rents, though rents might come down in a future, as landlords strive to fill up space," a paper quoted CBRE, a leading global blurb real estate services firm, as saying.
In a "good year", two million to 3 million sqf of blurb space in a city, or including a larger Kuala Lumpur area 4.5 million to 5.5 million sqf, is absorbed annually, a paper said.
However, Kuala Lumpur is seen as an budding real estate player, charity a fast market! place wi th great opportunities for opportunistic returns, as well as was ranked fifth city out of twenty-two with a best prospects in investment as well as growth in a Asia-Pacific according to a Emerging Trends In Real Estate Middle East Pacific 2013 inform by a US-based Urban Land Institute as well as PricewaterhouseCoopers (ULI-PwC), up 17th from final year.

Amokh ignores Najib as PM with Syed Feisal's appointment

Is it more critical for Amokh to please Tun Dol than Najib?
The business papers reported yesterday which Malaysia Airports Holding Berhad (MAHB) voiced a appointment of brother to Tan Sri Syed Hamid Albar, Dato Syed Faisal Albar to be an Independent Director of MAHB.

This is fueling conjecture which Tan Sri Bashir Ahmad will end his a single year prolongation as Chairman as well as replaced by Syed Faisal.

The name Syed Faisal is sickening to a stomach. It reminded us of his arrogant as well as insufficiency Arabtak sedar diribrother, Syed Hamid during a reign of terror of Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi. He lost Batu Putih island to Singapore as well as meddle to request ISA upon a reporter.

Syed Feisal is himself of controversial firmness as well as capability.

Doesn't Khazanah Nasional CEO, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar realised which he is not working for Tun Abdullah Ahmad Badawi any more?

Thus, because is he still bringing people which was part of a evil triumvirate of Kalimullah-Kamaluddin-Khary in to critical position?Or is this Tan Sri Nor Mohamad Yakcop in his elements?

Since Tun Dol resigned, this is not a first time Amokh is sticking to a cronies of a aged system of administration which wrecked massacre to a Malaysian aviation industry. It is now left to Najib to put a pieces together as well as try a turnaround of MAS.

Amokh had engineered a heavily lop-sided "merger" in between MAS as well as Air Middle East which favour of Tony Fernandez-led Air Asia.

Air Middle East was a custome! r of cro ny capitalism involving Khairy as well as Dato Zaki Zahid who together with Tony F redid a cabinet-approved National Airline Rationalisation plan.By a following Monday, Tun Dol voiced a opposite plan upon a direction of Khairy as well as Zaki.

Despite which move resulted in Air Middle East receiving over MAS routes as well as Amokh claimed he fought tooth as well as spike with Tony F for all a time "sailang" MAS, a MAS-Air Middle East "merger" usually prove Amokh have a complaint realising which a Prime Minister is no more Tun Dol but Dato Najib.

The fact which Dato Najib has set a precedent during IMDB to usually move in professionals as well as able people upon a Board of Directors as well as management, it raises issue upon Amokh tendencies to move in his cronies, particularly incompetent ones.

In a MAS-Air Middle East "merger" he gave his partner in their firm Bina Fikir, Danny Yusof which unsuccessful in a WAU exercise of MAS, a leading role.

Amokh kept his unsuccessful MCKK classmate, Dato Harun Johari who repeated his disaster during Iskandar Investment Berhad during Khazanah code brand new start-up inolving agriculture. Even in area of logistic which is supposed! to be hi! s core competency during Shell, Harun unsuccessful also.

There have been additionally Executives Directors retianed by Amokh similar to Tengku Dato Azmil who unsuccessful during MAS as well as a former Sime Darby's executive which inebriated in a privatisation of IJN as well as Qatar deal.

Dato Syed Feisal Albar
With regard to a code brand new appointment during MAHB, Syed Faisal is not politically as well as capacity wise a! ppropria te. He still sojourn withinKalimullah circle of evil.

Despite New Straits Times withdrawing their legal case against blogger as well as former Malay Mail editor,Dato Ahiruddin Attan@ Rockybru, Syed Faisal sojourn with antithesis subsidy The Malaysian Insider (TMI) owner, Kalimullah in their legal case against Rocky.

Despite subsidy opposition, TMI still provide space for Tun Dol, Khairy as well as those within a Kalimullah-Kamaluddin-Khairy triumvirate.

Najib is quite wakeful as well as Raja Petra's Wikileak leaks shows Singapore believed Najib as well as Rosmah is concerned in a attempted murder of Altantunya as well as it can usually be speculated which Kalimullah feed them with such information.

There have been sources believing which Kalimullah is a mastermind instrumental a framing of Najib as well as Rosmah.

To allude to Bigdogdotcom [readhere], smething is not right about a appointment.
"It is a poser because Khazanah Holdngs Bhd allocated a corporate has-been similar to Syed Faisal in to Malaysia Airports. He did fairly when he was a CEO of NTSP Bhd. Then he joined Pos Malaysia Bhd. However, when DRB-Hicom took over Pos Malaysia, Syed Faisal was not retained.
Its a demonstration which Syed Faisal is not recognized as a corporate-wizard by Tan Sri Syed Mokhtar Al Bukhary.
The Sun Biz story is right. Why would Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar designate a corporate has been similar to Syed Faisal, who has no applicable knowledge in airfield operations or ! airlines in to Malaysia Airports?
Unless, there is something non kosher in a play."
There have been multiform suspicions.

Amokh wants to reject Bashir out for multiform purposes.
One, Amokh is still in co-hort with Tony F, who has been carrying a war of words with Bashir upon Airport tax as well as other issues. The mom fucker cannot get his approach with other airports in a segment so there is no reason because MAHB should stoop to his ranting.
Two, Amokh could be subtly collaborating to harm a Najib-endorsed initiative, Malindo Airways which offer to opposite Tony F's hazard as well as harm try upon KLIA2 as well as is a win-win partnership in between Malaysian as well as Indonesian interests.
Thirdly, fixation Syed Faisal as CEO would help Tony F fulfill his mental condition of building as well as managing his own mental condition Airport formidable as well as "steal" revenue divided from MAHB.
Fourth, if not, Syed Feisal would abet to allow Tony F to set up his Sepang headquarter taller than a airfield control tower so which Air Middle East can mount out their code as well as a reserve hazard.
By this appointment, Amokh is ignoring a PM's wishes to move up in a learning bend in a area of corporate governance as set during IMDB.

He has a bent to designate usually cronies with links to himself, particularly his MCKK Alma Mater or from those linked to a Tun Dol regime.

Not usually that, he maintain a closed guarded secret companionship of management, incomp! etents f rom outside Khazanah as well as con-sultans in a same manner as a "skull as well as dagger" companionship of George Bushs'Delta Kappa Epsilonfraternity during Yale University.

Is Amokh sabotaging a Government to help Pakatan Rakyat takeover? If he is, then Amokh should be swiftly removed as well as sent back to UBS as dog shit researcher before General Election is over.

Nomura Singapore Ltd executive executive as good as economist for Southeast Asia, Euben Paracuelles pronounced GDP expansion will drop subsequent year due to weakening made during home as good as outmost demand.

And while a country's mercantile process has bolstered expansion for dual years, it has resulted in open debt receiving flight from 39.8% of GDP in 2008 to 51.8% final year, suggesting poignant mercantile converging is set to begin after a election.

Paracuelles pronounced BN winning a elections will bode good for a resumption of constructional reforms."If a statute BN still stays in power, nonetheless with a not as big majority, they would be means to pull by reforms which they've already identified," he told reporters during a Nomura 2013 Fixed Income Outlook briefing yesterday.

"We think which mercantile process in a run up to a elections will be very expansionary. Our arrogance here is a choosing gets called usually in March, so there's still a bit of time for a supervision to exercise some-more mercantile stimulus.Soon after a election, a supervision needs to get back to a mercantile converging agenda very quickly as good as that's starting to coincide with a slack in China in a second half of subsequent year (H2/13) which hurts Malaysia some-more than a other countries since of a commodity exports," he added.

In terms of monetary policy, Paracuelles pronounced Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) has been clear about a position which is not just about acceler! ation as good as growth, though additionally a financial imbalances which come with gripping rates too low for too long.

BNM Governor Zeti

"The bias of BNM is to normalise rates as shortly as they can. So, I don't see them slicing rates from here though if acceleration rises, then which could trigger BNM to begin hiking rates in H2/13.Our forecast is by third quarter of subsequent year (Q3/13), we will see a gradual increase in process rates," he said.

Nomura expects a 50-basis-point hike subsequent year, receiving a process rate to a pre-crisis turn of 3.5%, while a sell rate is expected to make firm to 2.92 to a US dollar by end-2013 compared with 3.02 by finish of this year.

Fond Farewell to My Favorite Jazzman, Mr Brubeck

Dave Brubeck | 1920-2012

His Music Gave Jazz New Pop

by Ben Ratliff (12-05-12)

Dave Brubeck

Dave Brubeck, a pianist as well as composer who helped have jazz renouned again in a 1950s as well as '60s with recordings like "Time Out," a initial jazz manuscript to sell a million copies, as well as "Take Five," a still now tangible hit singular which was which album's centerpiece, died upon Wednesday in Norwalk, Conn. He would have incited 92 upon Thursday.

He died whilst upon his approach to a cardiology appointment, Russell Gloyd, his producer, transmitter as well as physical education instructor for 36 years, said. Mr. Brubeck lived in Wilton, Conn.

In a long as well as successful career, Mr. Brubeck brought a distinctive reduction of experimentation as well as accessibility which won over listeners who had been lerned to a sonic dimensions of a three-minute cocktail single.

Mr. Brubeck experimented with time signatures as well as polytonality as well as explored low-pitched theater as well as a oratorio, antique compositional devices as well as unfamiliar modes. He did not always please a critics, who mostly described his strain as schematic, bombastic as well as a word he particularly disliked stolid. But his really unwillingness as well as strangeness a blockiness of his playing, a oppositional push-and-pull in between his piano as well as Paul Desmond's alto saxophone have a Brubeck quartet's many appropriate work still sou! nd origi nal.

Outside of a group's many important originals, which had a appeal as well as continuance of cocktail songs ( "Blue Rondo la Turk," "It's a Raggy Waltz" as well as "Take Five"), a little of a many appropriate work was in a overhauls of standards like "You Go to My Head," "All a Things You Are" as well as "Pennies From Heaven."

David Warren Brubeck was innate upon Dec. 6, 1920, in Concord, Calif., near San Francisco. Surrounded by farms, his family lived a bucolic life: his father, Pete, was a cattle buyer for a beef company, as well as his mother, Elizabeth, was a choir director during a circuitously Presbyterian church. When Mr. Brubeck was 11, a family changed to Ione, Calif., where his father managed a 45,000-acre cattle ranch as well as owned his own 1,200 acres.

Forbidden to attend to a air wave his mom believed which if we longed for to listen to strain we should fool around it Mr. Brubeck as well as his dual brothers all played various instruments as well as knew classical tudes, spirituals as well as cowboy songs. He schooled many of this strain by ear: because he was innate cross-eyed, sight-reading was scarcely unfit for him in his early years as a musician.

Playing for Local Dances

When Mr. Brubeck was 14, a laundryman who led a dance rope encouraged him to perform in public, during Lions Club gatherings as well as Western swing dances; he was paid $ 8 for personification from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m., with a one-hour break. But until he went to college he was an determined rancher, not an determined musician.

At a College of a Pacific, in Stockton, he initial studied to be a veterinarian though switched to strain after a year. It was there which he schooled about 20th-century enlightenment as well as review about Freud, Marx as well as sequence music; it was additionally there which he met Iola Whitlock, a fellow student, who became his mother in 1942.

He graduated which year a! s well a s was rught away drafted. For dual years he played with a Army rope during Camp Haan, in Southern California. In 1944 Private Brubeck became a rifleman, entering simple training initial in Texas, then in Maryland as well as was then sent to Metz, in northeast France, for further credentials for combat.

When his brand brand new autocratic officer heard him accompany a Red Cross traveling uncover a singular day, Mr. Brubeck recalled, he told his aide-de-camp, "I do not wish which child to go to a front." Thereafter, Mr. Brubeck led a rope which was trucked in to combat areas to fool around for a troops. He was near a front twice, during a Battle of a Bulge, though he never fought.

Finished with a Army during 25, Mr. Brubeck changed with his mother in to an unit in Oakland, Calif., and, upon a G.I. Bill scholarship, studied during Mills College there with a French composer Darius Milhaud. Milhaud asked a jazz musicians in his category to write fugues for jazz ensembles, as well as Mr. Brubeck played a results during a series of performances during a college. Mr. Brubeck had such indebtedness for his teacher which he named his initial son, innate in 1947, Darius.

An Instant Partnership with Paul Desmond

Mr. Brubeck initial met his many important low-pitched colleague, Mr. Desmond, a alto saxophonist, in an Army rope in 1943. Mr. Desmond was a undiluted foil; his lovely, impassive tone was as fragile as Mr. Brubeck's style was densely chorded. In 1947 they met again as well as found instant low-pitched rapport, fascinated by a plea of regulating counterpoint in jazz.

Mr. Brubeck's initial group, an octet shaped in 1946, contained multiform of Milhaud's students, as well as played pieces influenced by his teachings, regulating canonlike elements. The group's earliest available work predated a many some-more important set of likewise temperate jazz recordings, a 1948-50 Miles Davis Nonet work after finished as "Birth of a Cool."

In a late ! 1940s as well as early '50s Mr. Brubeck additionally led a contingent with Ron Crotty upon bass as well as Cal Tjader upon drums. It was around this time which he proposed to rise an audience. He was given an initial boost by a San Francisco front jockey Jimmy Lyons, after a owner of a Monterey Jazz Festival, who plugged a rope upon KNBC air wave as well as helped secure it a jot down understanding with Coronet.

In 1951 a contingent expanded to a quartet, with Mr. Desmond returning. (The permanent lineup shift was maybe inevitable, as Mr. Desmond was unfortunate to join his aged friend's increasingly renouned band, though it may additionally have had to do with earthy necessity: Mr. Brubeck had suffered a critical neck damage whilst swimming in Hawaii, tying his dexterity, as well as he needed an additional soloist to assistance lift a music.)

Quickly a constitutionally opposite men Mr. Brubeck open, desirous as well as imposing; Mr. Desmond private, high-living as well as self-effacing grown their lines of low-pitched communication. By a time of an engagement in Boston in a tumble of 1952 they had spin a singular of jazz's biggest combinations.

The next partial of a equation was a jot down label, as well as for which Mr. Brubeck had found an additional booster: Fantasy Records, only proposed by a brothers Max as well as Sol Weiss, who owned a record-pressing plant as well as had little seductiveness in jazz detached from wanting to have a distinction from it.

They did, eventually, with Mr. Brubeck. But Iola Brubeck additionally played a role in a growth of his audience. Before Mr. Brubeck became a client of a prominent physical education instructor Joe Glaser, she rubbed her husband's business affairs. In 1953 she wrote to some-more than a hundred universities, suggesting which a party would be willing to fool around for tyro associations. The college circuit became a group's bread as well as butter, as well as by a finish of a 1950s it had sole hundreds of thousands of copies ! of a alb ums "Jazz during Oberlin" as well as "Jazz Goes to College."

In 1954 Mr. Brubeck became usually a second jazz musician (after Louis Armstrong) to beDave Brubeck upon Cover of Time Magazine-1954 featured upon a cover of Time magazine. That year he signed with Columbia Records, promising to broach dual albums a year, as well as built a house in Oakland.

For all his conceptualizing, Mr. Brubeck mostly seemed some-more honest as well as realistic country child than intellectual. It is mostly noted which his piece "The Duke" memorably available by Miles Davis as well as Gil Evans in 1957 upon their collaborative manuscript "Miles Ahead" runs by all twelve keys in a initial eight bars. But Mr. Brubeck contended which he never realized which until a strain highbrow told him.

Mr. Brubeck's really personal low-pitched language situated him distant from a Bud Powell school of bebop rhythm as well as harmony; he relied some-more upon chords, lots as well as lots of them, than upon sizzling, hornlike right-hand lines. (He may have come by this outsiderness naturally, as a duty of his background: jazz by approach of farming isolation as well as modernist academia. He was, Ted Gioia wrote in his book "West Coast Jazz," inspired "by a process of improvisation rsther than than by a history.")

It took a little whilst for Mr. Brubeck to capitalize upon a larger prominence his understanding with Columbia gave him, as well as as he accommodated success a sure shred of a jazz assembly began to spin opposite him. (The 1957 manuscript "Dave Digs Disney," upon which he played songs from Walt Disney movies, didn't assistance his credibility among critics as well as connoisseurs.) Still, by a finish of a decade he had damaged by with mainstream audiences in a bigger approa! ch than roughly any jazz musician given World War II.

In 1958, as partial of a State Department module which brought jazz as an offer of great will during a cold war, his party traveled in a Middle East as well as India, as well as Mr. Brubeck became intrigued by low-pitched languages which didn't hang to 4/4 time what he called "march-style jazz," a scale which had been a music's bedrock. The result was a manuscript "Time Out," available in 1959. With a hits "Take Five" (composed by Mr. Desmond in 5/4 scale as well as prominently featuring a quartet's means drummer, Joe Morello) as well as "Blue Rondo la Turk" (composed by Mr. Brubeck in 9/8), a manuscript propelled Mr. Brubeck onto a cocktail charts.

Initially, Mr. Brubeck said, a manuscript was expelled but tall expectations from a jot down company. But when front jockeys in a Midwest proposed personification "Take Five," a strain became a national phenomenon. After a manuscript had been out for eighteen months, Columbia expelled "Take Five" as a 45 r.p.m. single, edited for radio, with "Blue Rondo" upon a B side. Both manuscript as well as singular became hits; a manuscript "Time Out" has given sole about dual million copies.

Standing Up to Racism

In 1960, realizing which many of a quartet's work centered upon a East Coast, a Brubecks, with their children, Dan, Michael, Chris, Darius as well as Catherine, changed to Wilton, where they stayed. They after had a singular some-more child, Matthew.

Genial as Mr. Brubeck could seem, he had clever convictions. In a 1950s he had to stand up to college deans who asked him not to perform with a racially mixed rope (his bassist, Gene Wright, was black). He additionally refused to debate in South Africa in 1958 when asked to pointer a stipulate stipulating which his rope would be all white. The classical Brubeck party regrouped usually once, in 1976, for a 25th-anniversary tour.

Mr. Brubeck resumed operative with a party in a late 1970s eventually settling in to a long-term furloughed group featuring a saxophonist Bobby Militello as well as afterward never stopped writing, furloughed as well as behaving his hits. To a finish he was a major pull during festivals.

Nate Chinen of The Times, observant which Mr. Brubeck had already "softened his pianism, replacing a aged hammer-and-anvil conflict with something roughly airy," wrote which his personification during a Blue Note "was a picture of prudent clarity, a well-placed chordal accents suggesting a riffing horn section."

Mr. Brubeck once explained succinctly what jazz meant to him. "One of a reasons we hold in jazz," he said, "is which a totality of male can come by a rhythm of your heart. It's a same anyplace in a world, which heartbeat. It's a initial thing we listen to when you're innate or before you're innate as well as it's a final thing we hear."

This article has been revised to reflect a following correction:

Correction: Dec 5, 2012

An progressing chronicle of this necrology erroneously attributed a distinction to Mr. Brubeck. He was a second jazz musician to be featured upon a cover of Time magazine, not a first. That chronicle ! addition ally misstated a name of a strain during a singular point. It is "Take Five," not "Time Out." ("Time Out" is a name of a manuscript upon which "Take Five" initial appeared.) It additionally pronounced which "Take Five" was a initial jazz singular to sell a million copies, instead it was a manuscript "Time Out" which sole over a million copies.

A chronicle of this article appeared in print upon Dec 6, 2012, upon page A1 of a New York book with a headline: His Music Gave Jazz New Pop.

The journey in life is never a straight line (PART 13)

I explained to Tok Guru which for twenty years given Merdeka, PAS has been carrying an picture of a kampong party. In fact, not most people outside Terengganu know Tok Guru as well as even in Terengganu not everyone knows who he is. Hence PAS indispensable to be 'marketed' to a civic areas, a large towns as well as a cities, as well as places similar to Taman Tun Dr Ismail, Damansara, Bangsar, etc., are where a crme de le crme live. So Tok Guru needs to have his participation felt in these areas.
NO HOLDS BARRED
Raja Petra Kamarudin
you initial met Tok Guru Dato' Seri Haji Abdul Hadi Awang in 1977, soon after he returned to Malaysia after completing his studies in Madinah as well as Cairo. At which time, Tok Guru was not nonetheless well well known as well as even you had never listened of him. A part of of a Terengganu royal family, a present Sultan's aunty, introduced me to him.
you soon began to attend Tok Guru's lectures/sermons during a Masjid Rhusila. That was around a time, as you had written earlier, when you became a 'Born Again' Muslim. you hungered for believe as well as you would visit quite a number of mosques or suraus all over Terengganu to listen to renouned ustaz or tok guru harangue upon Islam.
Ustaz Haji Awang 'Tukul Besi' of Batu Enam was another favourites of mine, as was Ustaz Kassim of Marang. And, of course, my 'resident' tok guru was Pak Abas of Masjid Kolam as well as Tok Guru Abdul Rahman Pattani of Taman Purnama.
Invariably, any tok guru had opposite approaches as well as opposite interpretations upon what 'true' Islam is. Hence it was necessary to get a 'balanced' opinion by learning from as most tok guru as possible. Then you had to separate through a most opposite opinions as well as come to your own co! nclusion .
There was this a single guy who would tape-record Tok Guru Hadi's lectures as well as sell a cassette tapes during a Friday 'bazaar' in Rhusila. you paid for a whole box of these cassette tapes as well as sent them down to my brother, Raja Idris, who was during which time a cabinet part of of Masjid Mujahidin in Damansara Utama.
Raja Idris would fool around these tapes after a Maghrib prayers as well as whilst waiting for a Isyak prayers to start. The members of his assemblage were fascinated by Tok Guru Hadi's lectures cum sermons. "Who is this guy?" they asked Raja Idris, "he is good."
Raja Idris replied which he does not know. He usually knows which a guy is a PAS member. The assemblage afterwards asked Raja Idris either he could invite this Tok Guru to come down to Kuala Lumpur to give a speak during Masjid Mujahidin.
Raja Idris contacted me as well as you betrothed to try to prepare it. you afterwards spoke to Tok Guru Hadi as well as he told me which he has a full calendar. Anyhow, he will try to cancel a single of his programmes as well as go down to Kuala Lumpur to speak during Damansara Utama.
The date was finally fixed as well as you paid for Tok Guru his craft ticket. you also organised for someone to fetch him from a airfield as well as to 'look after' Tok Guru Hadi. Raja Idris afterwards organised to implement a brand new PA complement so which they could do probity to Tok Guru's lecture. ABIM placed banners all over Selangor to surprise people about a impending speak by Tok Guru Hadi.
On a day of a event, which was a Saturday night, Masjid Mujahidin was packed. Busloads of people from all over Selangor came. The mosque, which normally would not even be half full, was overflowing as well as a car park had to be incited in to a prayer area. People were praying upon a grass as well as in a dirt.
The mosque cabinet was surprised. Never before had they seen such a crowd. And upon which day a peopl! e of Sel angor got to know, as well as fell in love with, Tok Guru Haji Abdul Hadi Awang (then not nonetheless a Dato' Seri).
The 45-minute harangue became a two-hour harangue as well as a mosque cabinet requested Tok Guru to come again, if probable upon a regular as well as scheduled basis. Tok Guru replied which he usually agreed to a one-off thing as well as he was not certain either he could persevere any time to do this upon a regular basis.
you explained to Tok Guru which for twenty years given Merdeka, PAS has been carrying an picture of a kampong party.
Finally, Tok Guru agreed to come down to Kuala Lumpur once a month, upon a initial Saturday of each month. And Masjid Mujahidin would be his bottom to reach out to a urbanites.
That was thirty years ago.
Soon, a assemblage of Masjid Mujahidin, which was practically a wooden shed squatting upon a square of land owned by a Fire Department, grew in leaps as well as bounds. People from all over went to which mosque. And in time which wooden shed became a multi-million Ringgit make up with air-conditioning built entirely with non-government money.
Umno, of course, was not too happy with a success of PAS in perspicacious a civic areas. And they were even unhappier about a actuality which Masjid Mujahidin was being used as a bottom for this. And Masjid Mujahidin was squatting upon a square of land owned by a Fire Department. It was ostensible to be a temporary structure, definition wooden building. Now it was a intemperate as well as multi-million Ringgit petrify office office building -- which equat! es to it has right away turn a permanent structure.
The Political Secretary to Anwar Ibrahim, Ibrahim Saad, got in touch with a Religious Department to ask them to explode a mosque. It was, after all, 'illegal'. This put a authorities in a dilemma. They knew which to do such a thing was going to invite bloodshed.
Instead of demolishing a mosque, as what Ibrahim Saad wanted, a authorities gave a Fire Department an pick square of land during Taman Tun Dr Ismail (where a Fire Brigade right away sits) as well as a land which Masjid Mujahidin was squatting upon was 'legalised'.
That was about thirty years ago as well as it took roughly thirty years until 2008 before PAS managed to benefit acceptance in a civic areas when it won seats such as Shah Alam, etc., which in a past would never have been possible.
There are no short cuts. Change takes a single era or more to happen. The prior era in 1980 brought PAS in to a towns as well as cities from a 'home' in a kampongs. The present era gave PAS a support in a towns as well as a cities.
And it all proposed because a few boxes of cassette tapes from Rhusila, Terengganu, found a way to Damansara Jaya, Selangor. That proposed a round rolling. But was which not also how a Islamic Revolution of Iran started, when a few boxes of cassette tapes from Paris found a way to a bazaars of Teheran in Iran?
And right away do you know why you am a student of history? Because story has taught us which most times story can as well as will repeat itself. And those who ignore a lessons of story are cursed to repeat a mistakes.
So, no, 2008 was not an overnight wake-up call, as most believe. 2008 took roughly thirty years to happen. And 2008 proposed in 1980 when you decided which PAS should no longer be a kampong party as well as a informal player. And when you 'exported' Tok Guru Hadi Awang to a large towns as well as cities, which began PAS's progression to inhabitant politics as well as laun! ched a L ong March to Putrajaya.

Waging War on Corruption

Conversation with Frank Vogl: Waging War upon Corruption

by By Alan Wheatley

Frank VoglFrank Vogl (left), who co-founded the anti-corruption group Transparency International (TI) in 1993, believes campaigners have reached bottom stay in their quarrel to end the abuse of open bureau for private gain.

TI has offices in some-more than 100 countries as well as its annual rankings of purify supervision have been during large used by investment analysts to assistance sign political risk. But the roughly daily disclosures of rigged elections as well as corporate temptation opposite the globe shows since Vogl, the former journalist as well as senior World Bank official who lives in Washington, is discerning to confess there is an Everest yet to climb. Vogl spoke about his brand new book "Waging War upon Corruption" during the revisit to London.

Q: Are you winning the quarrel opposite corruption?

A: "I don't contend we're winning, but we've come the prolonged approach in twenty years. Polls around the universe uncover which most people view crime as their single-biggest concern. The Arab Spring showed an huge spin of frustration by typical people with the chagrin they suffer each day as the result of crime as well as extortion, as well as the eagerness to go out upon the streets as well as do something about it."

Q: Is crime the price value profitable to safeguard political fortitude in accessible countries?

A: "In an earlier era, you could have perhaps made which case. Today, interjection to the Internet as well as amicable media typical citizens everywhere have been distant better informed than ever before. You don't secure assent as well as! fortitu de in the country if the broad open has no certainty in the leadership as well as institutions of government. Whether it's in China or Russia or some-more unstable countries identical to Afghanistan or Iraq or Pakistan open awareness of crime is something governments have to address. If they run totally fraudulent elections or go on to put in place gangsters to run institutions, then over time you will have distant larger instability."

Q: What lessons have been to be learned from Egypt?

A: "What is difficult for Western powers, especially the United States, is to find partners inFrank Vogl's Waging War upon Corruption rarely unstable countries. Or they stick with them for as well long. President (Hosni) Mubarak is the really great example. For the prolonged time he was important for assent as well as confidence in the Middle East. But he mislaid so most credit during home which the US was seen roughly as the co-conspirator opposite the people of Egypt, which today makes it really hard for the US to revive the strategic relationship with Egypt."

Q: Is crime in commercial operation upon the rise?

A: "There is no approach of knowing. It's distant simpler to pierce money round the universe swiftly as well as illicitly. But there have been now some-more laws in place which criminalise unfamiliar bribe-paying by corporations than ever before. There have been some-more prosecutions as well as investigations. The fines being paid have been higher. And the series of companies which have grown training as well as correspondence programmes to try to adhere to ant-bribery laws is larger than ever before. There is additionally distant some-more media courtesy upon the issue. And from 2014 oil as well as gas! as well as mining companies in the United States will have to publicly list all their royalty payments to horde governments. A identical law will come in to outcome in Europe. So by larger transparency you have been starting to start to reduce the spin of unlawful payments."

Q: What about the wealth thick with by officials in some African oil-producing countries?

A: "As you said, you have the prolonged approach to go. Transparency International France as well as an additional NGO asked the French courts to sequence the state to investigate the unlawful investments which the leaders of three west African countries had in France. The French supervision contested this, but the investigations have left forward. But it's incredibly difficult since the French, the British as well as others have really clever confidence interests in wanting to maintain reserve of minerals as well as oil as well as gas."

Q: So governments have been observant in outcome which crime is the price value paying?

corruption06A: "It's really short-sighted. If you can bribe people to guarantee our confidence of supply, others can too. If you have been starting to spin the blind eye to the unlawful trade in diamonds, for example, it isn't starting to assistance the fortitude as well as confidence of southern Africa. The fundamental discuss about this in the UK is over. People 'get it' as well as see where the longer-term interest lies. But the lot of counterclaim as well as oil contracts have been still the really murky area. And there is the lot of money being laundered which the authorities, for one reason or another, have decided not to clamp down on."

Q: Which countries stand out as winning as well as losing the quarrel opposite corruption?

A: "Take the country identical to Georgia. The actuality which they recently had the contested election, which the antithesis won, is the great indicator of the significant effort during reform. There have been really close correlations between the levels of viewed corruption, human rights abuse, press leisure as well as the strength of democratic institutions. But you additionally see backsliding. We all rejoiced during the intentions of the brand new supervision in Kenya after President (Daniel arap) Moi. But today there's probably larger crime in Kenya than before."

Q: The chief of staff of former Brazilian President Lula was recently locked up for corruption. How significant is that?

A: "The investment community should be profitable close courtesy to what is function in Brazil. You have got really important changes in open buying as well as freedom-of-information laws which have been making it harder to make use of bribes to get supervision contracts; you've had the charge as well as sentencing of tip politicians that, five years ago, would never have happened. Why? Part of the reason is which after two decades of economic process reform as well as the modernisation of the manage to buy you have an increasingly successful entrepreneurial center category which understands which their commercial operation success is most appropriate completed in purify markets."

Q: Has TI come under conflict for its campaigning?

A: "Whether it be in Zimbabwe or Sri Lanka or Venezuela, people heading anti-corruption movements as well as not just Transparency International have been facing continuous threats by the police. Our bureau in Sri Lanka has been bombed, the conduct of the bureau was kidnapped as well as there have been repeated death threats opposite members of staff. The spin of threats has augmenting in most countries, together with in Russia, as well as which is the approach result of the augmenting succe! ss of th ese groups. If they were not successful or effective, the governments wouldn't care. We have citizens' assistance lines to inform crime in 55 countries. Thousands of people have been camp complaints, as well as which is testing most governments. Even lower-level officials have been suddenly being challenged. So we're entering the most some-more dangerous duration for the leaders of polite society." Reuters

UMNO General Assembly 2012: All Thunder, Little Rain

In the relocating passage in his book, The Road to Serfdom- Hayek wrote: when the march of civilization takes an astonishing turn- when instead of the single after another progress which we have come to expect, we find ourselves threatened..we of march censure everything but ourselves.

It appears UMNO has done usually that. They censure everybody else except themselves. It was the meridian of possibly them or us. UMNO leaders have been we do the Bush Jnr upon us- possibly we have been with us or we have been against is. UMNO is behaving usually similar to this- we UMNO have been the good guys, we the others have been our enemy. It was which mindset which constructed some of the most pugnacious statements ever to come out from PWTC. Overall, the speeches were fiery, factious as well as hostile.

Here is the inconvenient law for UMNO. We have been not intimidated. Let us have clean elections. We promise not to cut off anyone's ears.

The overall tinge of the open was the call to the UMNO supporters all over, to actually attack their opponents. Shahrizat the embattled Wanita personality said something which was definitely irresponsible. If she thought her utterances can deliver her imminent exit, she is wrong.. Even the UMNO people during the Assembly knew she was observant something to stay relevant. Nowadays, the usually way for UMNO people to stay relevant is to fool around the bigot card- religious as well as secular bigotry.

Shahrizat played which label unashamedly. She alluded to the barbarous May thirteen secular clashes. If Chinese have been authorised to dominate domestic power, they would have lives hideous for Malays. UMNO keep forgetting, MCA is more racist than DAP.

Clearly, this was the unfortunate attempt by UMNO leaders to create the meridian of fear. Right meditative Malaysians contingency reject this sort of leaders as well as the ! domestic celebration which spawns the hate culture. It is important for Malaysians to know which if UMNO remove the elections, it is they who face distressing days ahead. If something similar to May thirteen happens, UMNO will be during the back of it.

The similarly strident voices of most of the delegates, unrestrained as well as hostile serve to serve add to the origination of the meridian of fright in the country. UMNO is obliged for creating this meridian of fear.

Najib as well as the UMNO speakers suggest zero but slogans as well as the cheering contest. Did any the single hear of any articulation of the major issues confronting this country?

How do we have this nation improve our approved process? No the single spoke about this. In Indonesia, the nation seen as the retailer of maids to Malaysia, all domestic leaders have next to entrance to clear their thoughts upon TV. People debate issues in the open as opposed to the one- sided version of events. UMNO campaigns all year round, nonetheless it is not ready to accede to entrance to satisfactory media coverage to the opposition.

All we hear over the 4-5 days have been the escape of fears as well as threats if UMNO is out of power. This is the worse UMNO GA to have taken place- it was the legal holiday for the escape of acclamation to the good leader, the male who is more skillful during managing his open persona. As to regulating the country, he has no clue. The acclamation as well as worshiping of Najib have been exceeded usually by the attacks upon the opposition.

The most important elements of the approved routine include giving next to entrance for the antithesis in supervision tranquil media. Why? Because it offers the open choices. And choices is what democracy is radically about. Making informed choices as to who is the improved celebration suited to manage this country?

How about giving ! entrance to the media for Pakatan to insist the bill proposals? How do we do know, their bill is not worth the paper it is printed on?

How about ensuring usually Malaysian citizens, scrupulously registered will opinion in the entrance elections? Get rid of the aliens who have been non-citizens who have been since licenses to opinion by way of creation them present citizens.

Did any the single talk about perfectionist the supervision take measures to ensure satisfactory elections have been free from threats of physical violence?

Let us be clear about this. The exit of UMNO equates to usually that- the exit of UMNO as well as not the demise of the country. It will be the finish of universe where the selected few gets rich riding upon the manipulated emotions of the majority. It will be the finish of the universe where the single gets forward by slicing corners as well as leveraging upon domestic connections instead of removing forward regulating your own abilities. It will be the finish of the universe dominated by the single chairman carrying substantially 100 Class F licenses as well as cornering contract functions from the government. It will be beginning of the universe where ministers carrying homes upon the French Riviera as well as London as well as Australia will be done to comment for their wealth.

Who is the hermit who asked me what is there in Sungai Buloh? Sungai Buloh houses the greatest prison in Malaysia. We will have it bigger by adding 1Malaysia shops, the auxiliary of Johor Premium Outlets, as well as the Ferrari showroom not costing RM20m managed by Naza of course.

KANTOI! Wanita Dakwa Kena Gangguan Seksual Pegawai Polis!

Salah sebuah sms berbunyi seperti berikut:

"Tanda-tanda Umno kehilangan kuasa semakin jelas sehingga mereka melakukan sesuatu seperti orang hilang pedoman.

Punca kecohnya satu je, sebab first time Anwar turun situ..tu yang habis menggeletar jadi paranoid..sebab kalau nak kira Anwar turun Gombak, kat area Gombak ni banyak kali dah Anwar turun, kat AU, kat Pinggiran, tapi tak kecoh pun..

Kenapa bila Anwar turun kat kawasan kampung (benteng pertahanan terakhir Umno), Umno jadi takut? Sebab kawasan kampung ni jelah harapan terakhir Umno untuk turn orang2 kampung..

Tapi PAS/PKR joke pandai, ceramah kat kampung dah pakai energy point dah, terkedu orang kampung..

Kalau Pakatan berceramah mestilah isinya menentang Umno, takkan nak bagi puji-pujian kat Umno pulak, kenapa paranoid?

Dan yang hadir semalam joke bukan orang kampung je, orang-orang UIA, UniKl joke ramai, diorang boleh tengok macam mana hodohnya perangai Umno..

Ada ke "kami tak provok cuma kami buat bantahan aman", tapi ko tau ceramah tengah berjalan, yang ko berdiri tepi jalan sambil menjerit apa pasal? Itu provoklah namanya.

Sepanjang pemerhatian aku, Umno Gombak khususnya DUN Gombak Setia sudah tidak ada apa-apa yang nak ditawarkan kepada rakyat, mereka tiada kekuatan..nak harap BR1M sekali hari tu jelah, lepa! s tu ora ng lupa (ni tahun depan ni begin baliklah).

Kalau nak kira Umno DUN Hulu Kelang dah lama bungkus sebab orang sana cerdik-cerdik belaka, Umno DUN Batu Caves pulak macam tak berfungsi sebab kat situ MIC yang bertanding.

Kot nak mengharap kat Gombak Setia ni ialah saki-baki Melayu perkampungan dari Batu 6 sampai ke batu! entah berapa belas sampai ke perkampungan Orang Asli tu..itu joke tak ramai, sebab orang-orang cerdik joke ramai kat sini..

Umno Gombak Setia cuma bernafas sekejap bila Hasan Ali kata "saya ada phd kena pecat dari PAS", yang tu siap semua banner Hasan Ali digantung kat pejabat Umno..tapi sekejap jela.

Ni dah masuk setahun kena pecat muka Hasan Ali joke dah tak nampak kat Gombak Setia..dan orang Gombak Setia joke tak rasa kehilangan dia sebab selama ni joke dia sibuk kat Shah Alam, maklumlah, bak kata dia "sultan nak jumpa, mufti nak jumpa"

Bab banjir, sepanjang ingatan aku jugak, kawasan area masjid Zakaria tu mana pernah banjir, walau selebat mana joke hujan..yg pernah banjir joke kawasan Batu 10 dekat apartmen UIA, tapi tak kena penempatan penduduk.

Itu berpunca dari mereka yg mendirikan gerai betul-betul kat tebing sungai (kalau ikutkan, tebing sungai ialah tanah rizab yg tak boleh diusik), tapi kalau sodok kesianlah pulak.

Mungkin aku silap, tapi sebagai pemastautin kat area-area situ, nak jugaklah tau, banjirnya celah mana?

Satu lagi anak Omardin ni, toksah nak menipu la..dia ada kat tempat kejadian tapi dia tak nak bertanggungjawab atas apa yang juak-juak dia buat..bosanlah Pemuda Umno macam ni, macam mana aku nak sokong?

Buat ceramah tak laku, orang ceramah ko nak ganggu..

Inilah 1st Lady kita!

Semalam tak dapat ngadap FB. Ada kursus di Ipoh. Balik dah malam, penat terus tidur. Gambar Raja Permaisuri Agong kita tuuuu.
Hati kecik ni dah lama sangat berharap. Dah lama sangat berdoa. Moga-moga Baginda Tuanku akan mengikut jejak mantan Permaisuri kita sebelum ni, Tuanku Nur Zahirah. Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah! Alhamdulillah!
Ni baru cantik. Baru menepati sebagaimana yang termaktub dalam perlembagaan. Raja payung negara.Raja ketua agama. Islam agama rasmi persekutuan.

Penat-penat pegi melontar Jumrah tapi balik tetap melawan perintah Allah! Wallahua'lam!
