1M4U MEMACU MALAYSIA HUB SUKARELAWAN

PUTRAJAYA : 1Malaysia for Youth (1M4U) akan memacu Malaysia menjadi hub dan negara contoh dalam kerja sukarelawan kalangan rakyat berbilang kaum berteraskan gagasan 1Malaysia, kata Perdana Menteri Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

Beliau berkata kerajaan dengan visi dan aspirasi murni telah menubuhkan 1M4U sebagai sebuah badan dan platform untuk menggalakkan serta memacu aktiviti berbentuk kesukarelaaan dalam kalangan belia dan generasi muda Malaysia.

Najib yang juga Pengerusi 1M4U berkata kerajaan akan menggalakkan gerakan kesukarelawan kepada semua rakyat Malaysia, khususnya generasi muda dalam kerajaan, swasta, badan bukan kerajaan (NGO) dan syarikat-syarikat berkaitan kerajaan (GLC) sempena Tahun Kesukarelawan Nasional 2013.

"1M4U juga akan menganjurkan Konvensyen Sukarelawan Nasional 2013 pada bulan Februari bagi mengumpulkan semua sukarelawan yang aktif di Malaysia untuk berbincang mengenai hala tuju gerakan sukarelawan dalam kalangan rakyat dan generasi muda Malaysia," katanya pada majlis perjumpaan dengan 10 finalis pertandingan 'My Uni Rocks' di Bangunan Perdana Putra di sini Rabu.

Untuk mengalakkan aktiviti kesukarelawan dalam kalangan generasi muda secara tersusun dan berkala, Najib mengumumkan bahawa sebanyak 100 1M4U Outreach Centre akan diwujudkan di semua IPT dalam negara secara berperingkat pada tahun depan yang berfungsi sebagai pemangkin kepada lebih banyak aktiviti kesukarelaan dalam kalan! gan maha siswa dan mahasiswi negara ini.

"Bagi merancakkan lagi aktiviti kesukarelawan di semua overdo centre (pusat capaian), pihak 1M4U akan memberikan sumbangan geran sebanyak RM5,000 kepada setiap overdo centre untuk menggerakkan aktiviti kesukarelaan masing-masing.

"Selain itu, 1M4U akan memberi anugerah khas 1M4U kepada overdo centre pale aktif dan pale banyak menggerakkan aktiviti kesukarelaan dalam kalangan generasi muda dan mahasiswa IPT. Kita akan wujudkan tokoh kesukarelawan 1M4U kepada mana-mana individu yang banyak menggerakkan aktiviti kesukarelaan dalam negara," katanya.

Najib juga menyeru semua mahasiswa dan mahasiswi serta generasi muda Malaysia merebut peluang untuk mendaftarkan diri selaku penggerak dan aktivis sukarelawan 1M4U menerusi laman web im4u.

Beliau berkata program 1M4U, logo dan lagu, amat popular dan sudah sebati dengan golongan muda di tanah air.

"Lagu 1M4U ini sudah menjadi popular. Bagaimanapun ia mungkin tidak sebaik s Gangnam Style (Korea) tapi pastinya sudah bertapak dalam kalangan belia Malaysia. Mereka menganggap ini sebagai lagu mereka dan begitu bermakna kerana ia menyatakan kerajaan berada di sini untuk anda. Kami sedang melakukan yang terbaik untik merubah negara keseluruhnya, sebaik kerja itu siap, ia untuk anda - belia hari ini untuk memberi manfaat kepada Malaysia yang kita bina bersama.

Sementara itu, Najib berkata pertandingan 'My Uni Rocks' merupakan pertandingan unik yang menggunakan platform laman web sosial 'Facebook'. Para belia dan generasi muda boleh bertukar-tukar buah fikiran dan mengadakan perbincangan mengenai idea.

"1M4U amat menghargai segala usaha dan dedikasi generasi muda dalam mengenengahkan idea-idea bernas untuk aktiviti kesukarelaan mengikut cita rasa masing! -masing.

Fasa kedua 'My Uni Rocks' kini dibuka untuk pengundian awam ke atas 10 finalis dan cadangan kesukarelawanan mereka di laman Facebook, im4u dan tempoh pengundian awam, akan berakhir pada 31 Dis.

Tiga pasukan yang menerima undi pale banyak akan dinamakan sebagai pemenang dan diumumkan pada 1 January tahun depan.

Menurut maklumat keluarga terdekat, Fati (bukan nama sebenar), pelajar tingkatan 3 disuruh membeli ubat oleh ibunya di bandar Lahad Datu dengan ditemani seorang lelaki yang dipercayai teman lelaki pelajar berkenaan, Iwan, sekitar jam 2 petang jumaat lalu.

Mereka menaiki kereta sapu Proton berwana merah dan turun di Kedai Onlee; kemudian saksi melihat mereka bertukar kereta Kancil putih sebelum menuju ke kampung Puyut untuk mengambil seorang lagi kawan.

Dalam perjalanan ke Fajar Centre, seorang lelaki mengeluarkan pisau dan menutup mulut mangsa dan mengugut akan mencederakan mangsa jika menjerit; lalu mangsa di bawa naik ke sebuah bilik penginapan di hadapan Restoran Dovis; sebelum dipercayai dirogol.
