Selain Nizar, kemasukan Fauzi itu juga kononnya memberi ancaman kepada orang lama baik dalam PAS Larut atau PKR yang selama-lama ini sudah memasang angan-angan untuk dipilih dan bertanding sebagai wakil rakyat.

Tidak kira samada bertanding kerusi Parlimen atau DUN, Fauzi dilihat sebagai calon yang layak bertanding pada PRU-13 nanti.

Dalam ucapannya sulungnya selepas menyertai PAS Larut, Fauzi berkata, tujuan masuk politik ialah untuk mendekatkan diri dan menyatupadukan masyarakat terutama di kampung halamannya.
