Saya selalu menyebut dalam tulisan saya sebagai seorang yang telah begitu lama menyertai Umno bercakap benar itu seolah-olah menjadi cegahan dan sesiapa bercakap secara jujur dan terbuka orang itu akan menghadapi masalah dan ditekan dan diketepikan. Pemimpin BN hanya mahu pujian walaupun tidak betul.

BN bermasalah dengan keyakinan rakyat terhadapnya. Krisis keyakinan ini sangat besar yang datang dari setiap sudut. BN sudah diketahui rakyat sebagai pen! tadbir y ang melakukan "stripping" terhadap aset negara kepunyaan rakyat untuk kepentingan beberapa orang tertentu dalam kerajaan.

Ramai kroni kepada pemimpin-pemimpin tertinggi negara menyelesaikan masalah hutang mereka dengan menggunakan wang dan harta rakyat dan negara secara sistematik dan akhirnya ramai pula rakyat yang menyokongnya kerana menipu mereka. Orang Melayu dan Umno akan menyokong siapa sahaja yang menipu dan membohongi mereka.

Ramai yang berpendapat yang calon-calon yang dikatakan sebagai calon yang "winnable" itu sebahagiannya adalah calon "payung terjun" yang akan ditentukan oleh pucuk pimpinan.

Dalam parti sedang berkecamuk di peringkat bahagian-bahagian ini untuk meletakan calon payung terjun itu akan hanya memberikan padah yang lebih buruk terhadap parti Umno itu sendiri. Keadaan ini lebih lagi menjadi perhatian kerana tindakan secara senyap-senyap mereka di dalam Umno untuk menurunkan Najib dari kepimpinan itu adalah real dan nyata kepada mereka yang memerhatikan politik Umno secara detail. Di kalangan pemimpin Umno di peringkat tertinggi bukannya baik sangat sebenarnya. Masing-masing mahukan calon-calon yang di turunkan nanti adalah dari kelompok mereka dalam parti.

Dalam proses pemilihan calon-calon ini lah akan timbul permasalahan yang besar di dalam Umno kerana masing-masing akan mengaku dan yakin yang setiap di antara yang bercita-cita itu merasakan yang mereka adalah calon-calon yang "winnable". Tetapi tidak kurang pemimpin-pemimpin yang adalah di dalam barisan kepimpinan bahagian-bahagian Umno sekarang ini mempunyai "apprehen! sion" un tuk menjadi calon Umno pada masa ini kerana belum pasti menang dalam pilihanraya kali ini.

Ketagihan mendapat kuasa menyebabkan parti menjadi korban dan budaya perjuangan yang ada di dalam Umno sudah terlalu jauh dan menyimpang dari matlamat asal perjuangannya.

Sesuatu parti politik itu selalunya ada budaya yang menyebabkan parti itu tertubuh. Tetapi apabila budaya yang selama ini telah memperkuatkan perjuangan parti itu sudah hilang, maka identiti parti itu dengan sendirinya hilang. Apabila identitinya hilang maka parti itu akan dengan sendirinya lemah dan tersasar dari matlamat asalnya.

Banyak bangsa di dunia ini telah hilang dan hanya tinggal di kawasan-kawasan terpencil di banyak negara dan ketinggalan di dalam pembangunan dunia sejagat ini. Semuanya berlaku bermula dengan kehilangan identiti bangsa mereka.

Umno dan pemimpin-pemimpinnya sedang menjurus ke arah itu.maruah boleh dijual beli. Yang penting mereka menjadi pemimpin. Samada mereka dihormati atau dipandang rendah oleh rakyat tidak menjadi isu.

Sekarang ini Najib sedang menjelajah negara dan ber "shopping" undi. Beli sana dan beli sini.
