(The Star) -The Kajang Municipal Council (MPKj) has ordered a Sri Maha Mariamman Temple cabinet in Pekan Bangi Lama to revoke its turn of sound as well as cease eremite activities after 6pm.
In a January 8 devalue notice issued to a temple, a council claimed which a sound from a church as well as its eremite activities had uneasy a neighbourhood.
TempleChairman R. Pannirselvamsaid MPKj coercion officers ordered a church to belong to a notice, failing which he could be fined RM1,000 or locked up six months or both under Section 82(5) of a Local Government Act.
He pronounced a notice had caused uneasiness between a thousands of Hindus who congregate for prayers at a church each Tuesday as well as Friday as well as also for other festivals.
"Prayers are conducted between 6pm as well as 9pm as well as we ring bells during a prayers. How can we stop a ringing of a bells," he asked?
MPKj councillorSenator S.T. Chandramohanhowever pronounced a notice was rescinded late Friday following reports in a Tamil paper.
Pannirselvam had sought a benefit of MIC Youth chief T. Mohan who assured them which a council did not have a right to impose such conditions.
"This is a crack of a constitution which allows everyone to rehearse his own religion," Mohan said.

Explaining a notice, Chandramohan pronounced it was issued without a knowledge of councilpresident Datuk Hassan Nawawiand other councillors.
"We have asked a council's audit as well as good governance cabinet to look into a make a difference since there is a standing direction which any movement against eremite places has to be referred to a council's full house meeting," he said.
Meanwhile, Hassan simplified which a notice urging a church to revoke a turn of sound had nothing to do with a ringing of bells.
