PTPTN halts loans to Universiti Selangor



The National Higher Education Fund (PTPTN) has at a moment halted loans to new students enrolled in Selangor government-owned Universiti Selangor (Unisel).

In answering a question upon its online forum, a fund pronounced which a loans for Unisel students have been "halted for a time being".

When contacted upon PTPTN's hotline, an officer pronounced which there has been an internal email sent to staff upon a make a difference though no official round was issued.

Confirming a freeze, Unisel vice-chancellor Anuar Ahmad, however, pronounced which a university has not received any grave notifications from PTPTN.

"They didn't issue us any letters upon a matter," he pronounced when contacted.

He added which a university found out about a solidify when students in a April money coming in could not fix up Unisel's name in a list of universities in PTPTN's online applications.

Anuar, however, refused to exhibit why a solidify is in place, observant which a university has been in talks with PTPTN over a make a difference since last week.

"We have been in discussions with PTPTN so you cannot exhibit much. We will get in touch with them again if there is no word from PTPTN's side by a end of this week," he said.
