MASwings twin-otter plane nosedives into drain





MIRI, November 7 A MASwings-owned twin-otter craft nosedived in to the tiny empty after slipping off the runway, upon landing during the Marudi airfield today.
The two pilots as well as 17 passengers upon MH3562 were reported safe, except for the 26-year-old lady who sustained the swollen leg as well as perceived outpatient treatment. Marudi police chief DSP Abu Bakar Mokhtar pronounced the craft had left Miri airfield during 2.19pm in fine weather before the situation occurred during 2.33pm.
"I guess the trip to be during 40 metres off the runway, with the plane's front plunging in to the tiny empty nearby," he told Bernama here. He pronounced the airfield had been at the moment closed to manoeuvre it behind upon course.
The Department of Civil Aviation (DCA) has begun investigations in to the incident.
Meanwhile, MASwings Corporate Communications said, while the Marudi Airport runway was still open for flight operations, MASwings had despatched an review group from Miri for recovery as well as rescue.
