Mahathir irritated over questions of nepotism in Sapura-Kencana understanding with PETRONAS

Former Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad was irritated by questions from reporters currently over the potential dispute of seductiveness in the new stipulate involving Petronas, in which he serves as an adviser.

NONELast week, Petronas Carigali Sdn Bhd reportedly awarded the RM700 million stipulate to the Sapura-Kencana Petroleum Bhd wholly-owned subsidiary. Mahathir's son Mokhzani is the vice-chairperson of the latter company.

Mahathir replied in the spiteful tinge when asked during the press conference currently whether there was dispute of seductiveness in the deal.

"Yes of course, he (Mokhzani) is since it because we instructed Petronas. Put which in your paper.I presided over everything. we told them, please give to my son as well as not to anybody else. That's what we have been doing all the time. When we was the budding minister, all was since to my children.But when all goes to the young kids of the other Prime Minister, you don't want to mention because he is the good man. He enables you to read, doesn't he?" Mahathir said in reply.

Sapura-Kencana reportedly done dual batch exchange filings upon November 1, with the single observant which the wholly-owned auxiliary Allied Marine & Equipment Sdn Bhd was awarded the stipulate for three-and a-half years of underwater services.
