"I mount by the element which Rapid as well as Petronas can turn Pengerang in to an oil as well as gas heart upon the condition which the 10 normal villages there are not affected."

This, he said, could be completed by making use of pick land in the vicinity, instead of appropriation the site of the villages.

He gave an assurance that, should Pakatan take over the Johor government in the next general election, the Rapid plan can continue.

Asked if this has found accord in Pakatan, Salahuddin replied in the affirmative.

"I feel that, between the Pakatan leaders, you wish (the project) in Johor though without inspiring the normal villages. In conditions of that, you have no argument. There is strong consensus," he said.

Salahuddin also offered an olive branch to Johor Menteri Besar Abduk Ghani Othman, urging the latter to rivet the opposition upon the best way for the Rapid plan to proceed.

"I will ! be sendin! g the letter to (his) bureau so which the dialogue can be held. If he doesn't wish the debate, the okay, though let us (at least) discuss (it)," he added.
