UMNO's Bung Mokhtar Radin (BN-Kinabatangan) today launched the tirade against aristocrat Syed Mokhtar Al-Bukhary for what he described as the businessman's gusto to monopolize everything under the sun.
Whatever businesses exist in this world, Bung Mokhtar (left) said, Syed Mokhtar wanted the companies pioneered by him to be in them.
"In the sea, he is you do business, upon land, he is you do business, in the air, he is you do business.If he can do commercial operation in the grave, he will probably do it," Bung Mokhtar pronounced during the committee theatre of the debate upon the Budget 2013 grant for the Finance Ministry.
Bung Mokhtar was indignant about the appearance of hulk government-linked companies (GLCs) as well as other private businesses in open tenders for smaller projects which he pronounced would deprive smaller companies of commercial operation opportunities.
"So what is the policy? I ask which the Finance Ministry explain. These GLCs should not be authorised to experience in the smaller open tenders, they should focus upon their mega projects," he said.
'Rakyat indignant over monopoly'
After usually quickly raising the matter, Bung Mokhtar, who is additionally BN backbencher deputy chairperson, afterwards went upon to repeatedly hamme! r during Syed Mokhtar.

Bung Mokhtar warned which if such monopolies have been authorised to continue,

Bank Negara should have acted sooner
