The government's fight upon corruption has borne "positive as well as tangible" results, said Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin during an general discussion of anti-corruption authorities.
In his closing speech to over 900 delegates of a International Association of Anti-Corruption Authorities, he quoted surveys by Transparency International that found 49 percent of Malaysians felt that a government's efforts against corruption is effective, up from 29 percent in 2009.
In addition, he said a consulting firm AT Kearney ranked Malaysia between a tip 10 upon a Foreign Direct Investment Confidence Index 2012.
"I am certain that given time, Malaysia will be successful in a fight upon corruption, as well as further improve public notice toward a government's anti-corruption efforts," he said in a discussion during a Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre today.
