The Indonesian Confrontation By Zam

If you have been next 50 years of age, greatfully read these links unequivocally carefully. It is a discerning watcher account by a eminent publisher Zam (Tan Sri Zainuddin Mydin) of a 4 year war that Indonesia launched opposite Malaysia from 1962 to 1966.

Peninsula Malaysia saw a landing of a little Indonesian saboteurs as good as infiltrators in Johor as good as elsewhere who were all captured. Nothing much unequivocally happened upon a Peninsula. It was a different story in Sarawak (and Sabah) where for 4 years there was genuine sharpened along a limit between our boys as good as a Indonesians. The British SAS Regiment warranted their "colours" in Sarawak during this time as well.

What is more interesting (and utterly terrifying 50 years ago) was that these Indonesian infiltrators were welcomed by Fifth Columnists or 'musuh dalam selimut' who existed in Malaysia during that time. Zam says they included PAS supporters. It was a complicated time. 50 years ago there was a poignant number of people who saw our future scored equally to Indonesia.

When we was in reduce delegate propagandize in a early 1970s a little of my friends spoke about this.Obviously they were repeating what they heard in their homes. In primary propagandize during a 1960s another crony had mislaid his brother (who was in a Army) in a Indonesian Confrontation. He always had a scowl upon his face.

Here is a picture of President Sukarno of Indonesia. He was a good womaniser. Here he is with Marilyn Monroe. The story also goes that a Russians once filmed Sukarno in bed with a white woman. They wanted to use a movie to extort Sukarno. To their chagrin, Sukarno offered to play a movie in movie theatres throughout Indonesia - to show how! good Ba pak unequivocally was.

Although he launched a war opposite Malaysia, there is no disbelief that Sukarno was a good man. We cannot deny Sukarno his mass in winning freedom for a 100 million Indonesians as good as giving them a sense of honour as good as nationhood that persists until today. That itself is a good achievement. The red as good as white "Pakatan Rakyat" flag is modelled after a 'Sang Merah Putih' or Bendera Negara Indonesia that itself reflects a ancient flags of Majapahit, Kediri, Aceh, a Batak lands as good as alternative empires in a Nusantara.

Here is a couple that we strongly recommend for your discerning reading.
