DAP Secretary-General Lim Guan Eng stressed currently DAP is not in politics to pursue datukship, though declined to tread in to politically-sensitive waters upon either a celebration will change its phonetic rule of not usurpation such titles.

"This is a dangerous question. If we answer we will accept, it will appear as if we have been in for titles; if we say will not accept, we will appear as if we have been disrespectful to a royalty," Lim told a press conference at a DAP domicile in Kuala Lumpur.

He was responding to Sekinchan state assemblyperson Ng Suee Lim's suggestion which celebration leaders accept such titles from a Malay rulers to forestall a celebration from being marked down as anti-Malay as well as anti-royalty.

Lim pronounced a make a difference did not movement as no pretension was being offered to DAP member at present. "I do not consider there is any emanate about us not respecting a royalty. The Sultans will need to award them first, so a make a difference does not arise," he said.

Lim combined which a party's categorical purpose would still remain portion a rakyat, rather than for titles. "I am gentle being called saudara (mister). Even after we retire, we will be gentle with it," pronounced Lim, who is also Penang Chief Minister.

The emanate of state titles arose in late 2010 after conjecture which DAP's Sungai Pinang state assemblyperson Te! ng Chang Khim was about to be granted a datukship. However, a celebration did not conflict Teng's acceptance of a pretension after it was suggested which a award came without delay from a recommendation of a Selangor palace for his purpose as Selangor state legislative public speaker.

'Tokong make a difference has passed'

Lim also declined to comment upon being called a tokong (deity) by Penang Deputy Chief Minister we Mansor Othman, stating which a make a difference had passed. He pronounced DAP-PKR negotiations upon chair grant in Penang were not a "big issue", though declined to verbalise further upon this.

Mansor had allegedly spoken a word tokong in reference to Lim during an informal PKR meeting which, between others, discussed a chair grant in Penang for a subsequent ubiquitous election.

On an additional matter, Lim pronounced it was nonetheless to be seen either MCA's relentless attack upon DAP as well as PAS over hudud would have any stroke upon a electorate. "Let's wait as well as see when a ubiquitous choosing comes," he said.

Among a tip care of PAS as well as DAP, Lim added, it was still business as common notwithstanding a hudud controversy.
