THOUSANDS of male Indonesian civil servants had their monthly compensate transferred to their wives' bank accounts this week in a bid by a local supervision to stop men carrying affairs. The Gorontalo administration upon northern Sulawesi island released a recommendation early this year to a 3,200 civil servants, observant it would help carry out funds customarily spent upon mistresses.
"Men have been customarily incompetent to carry out their behaviour if they have too much money in their pocket," supervision spokesman Rifly Katili told AFP.
"I'm pretty certain this will eliminate a possibility of love affairs which criticise families."
About 90 per cent of a workers have been voluntarily taking partial in a initiative, Katili said. (Agencies)
