TAWAU: The outrage over Perkasa arch Ibrahim Ali's placement of ang pau in tabooed white envelopes to the Chinese village has reached Sabah.
Tawau MP Chua Soon Bui pronounced Ibrahim had offended as well as insulted the Chinese village when he handed ang pau in white packets which is indifferent for funerals instead of the traditional red.
She pronounced Ibrahim's apology cannot remove the repairs as well as insult to the Chinese community.
"It is unbelievable, he (Ibrahim) as the comparison adult born in Malaysia, the mixed informative society, as well as he chose to be undeveloped of the enlightenment of the Chinese which is the second greatest village in Malaysia," she pronounced yesterday.
The MP pronounced it was unbelievable which Ibrahim, well known for his militant defence of the Malay community, did not know he was offending the Chinese village by his gesture.
"Ibrahim should know which even Bank Islam's ang pau packet is red as well as showed which the bank concurred which Chinese New Year festivities played the distinguished purpose in Malaysian enlightenment every year.
"Even village young kids in Sabah know ang pau packets have been red in colour. He chose to be blind upon the white packet," she pronounced observant which the media was awash with advertisements emphasizing red as the colour of the festival.
