UPSI assembly scuffle: Police almost done with probe

IPOH, Jan 3 Police have almost finished their investigation in to what transpired during the educational freedom convene during Tanjung Malim's Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) upon late Saturday, Bernama Online reported.
Students as well as their organisations have indicted the military of brutality, with the single student hospitalised, whilst military have claimed they were only doing their pursuit after the students unsuccessful to disperse.
Perak Police Chief Datuk Mohd Shukri Dahlan said currently their investigation paper rebuilt with Bukit Aman's input will be passed to the public prosecutor's office for serve action.
He said students' as well as policemen have available their apart statements.
Mohd Shukri was present during the handover exercise during Batu Gajah military district, with ACP Shaharon Anuar Abdul Latif receiving over from timid Supt Ahmad Nordin Jaafar as military chief.
Responding upon blog as well as postal postings doubt military action, Mohd Shukri said military were monitoring anyone blemish their image.

During the incident, seventeen undergraduates, together with the woman, were detained for participating in an unlawful gathering by student group Solidariti Mahasiswa Malaysia (SMM).
