Felda eyeing JCorps QSR, KFCH stakes

KUALA LUMPUR, December twenty Felda is among a potential buyers interested in Johor Corporation's (JCorp) stakes in QSR Brands Bhd (QSR) and KFC Holdings Malaysia Bhd (KFCH), Bernama Online reported currently citing an unnamed analyst.
"Felda can make a bid directly by charity aloft prices than JCorp's offer, though JCorp, as a controlling shareholder in KFCH and QSR, is still a a single who creates a call," a researcher was quoted as saying in a report.
JCorp not long ago partnered in isolation equity account CVC Capital Partners Middle East Pacific (CVC), to buy camp organisation Kulim Bhd's entire stake in QSR and KFCH.
Previous attempts to sell KFCH ran in to objections from Malay rights group Perkasa, which insists a American authorization should sojourn in Bumiputera hands
Despite citing Felda's interest, a researcher conceded it was doubtful for JCorp to unpack KFCH during a present.
"It is impossible for JCorp to sell its money cow although a group is installed with debt and needs to solve RM3.6 billion by July subsequent year," a researcher said.
On Sunday, a JCorp official told The Malaysian Insider which a corporation's move to take direct control of its food-related businesses last week will offer Bumiputera interests and lower its altogether debt.
This followed claims by former chief senior manager Tan Sri Muhammad Ali Hashim which outward forces were orchestrating JCorp's exchange and weighing a once-powerful state investment organisation down with debt.
