Don't be scared over nine-hour work day, Wee tells teachers

ALOR SETAR - Teachers should not be scared over a nine-hour work day commander plan which will be introduced ! in four states next year, says Deputy Education Minister Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

"The new complement will proceed in Pahang, Malacca, Johor as well as Sarawak in January.

"A preference upon whether to introduce it to other states will usually be done after a six-month hearing duration is over," he said.

Dr Wee pronounced teachers competence have served longer operative hours compared to what a open think.

"I goal which teachers will be patient as well as not consider it is a ministry's last decision. The plan is being carried out upon a hearing basis," he pronounced after launching a National Union of a Teaching Profession's office building here yesterday.

It was recently reported which a little 5,000 teachers from 104 schools in a four states would take part in a pioneer project.

The nine-hour work day would be from 7.30am compartment 4.30pm for morning event teachers as well as 9.30am compartment 6.30pm for those training in a afternoon session, pronounced NUTP secretary-general Lok ! Yim Phen g.

She pronounced teachers were disturbed about having to work long hours.

"Teachers have most duties even after category ends.

"Responsibility should be substituted equally between all a teachers in a school," Lok said.
