Man denies teen contractor son won RM1m job

GEORGE TOWN, Aug 2 A man has denied an allegation that his son had won the RM1 million building plan from the Penang government.

Abdul Wahab Abdullah pronounced his son Nursufi, 19, the student, was usually the plan physical education instructor of the two-storey religious school building in Batu Maung.

The plan was won by Syarikat Syamir, the company managed by my wife Rozidah Omar. It is worth RM500,000 as well as not RM1 million as reported by the newspaper, he was quoted by Bernama as saying.

He pronounced Nursufi was asked to be the plan physical education instructor to give him commercial operation exposure.

Nursufi is now studying commercial operation at Kolej Damansara Utama as well as has no Class D contractor looseness as reported.

The allegation was made by Penang Wanita MCA chief Tan Cheng Liang yesterday who questioned the Penang governments transparency in placement of projects as well as claimed that usually 0.2 per cent of projects had been given to non-Bumiputeras given 2008.
