ANTS IN THE PANTS?

By : SELENA TAY

THE BARISAN Nasional leaders have been acting similar to ants in the pants of the Pakatan Rakyat leaders. "Ants in the pants" is the Cantonese phrase which is used to inform very vitriolic or annoying people which have been formidable to be rid of.

A couple of examples have been enough to illustrate this point.
The initial e.g. comes from Umno's Kota Belud MP Abdul Rahman Dahlan who is of the perspective which the accounts of the Pakatan-helmed states indispensable to be re-checked as something might have been done to enhance the opening of these states for the review report, which was released upon October 15 to all MPs in Parliament.

The Auditor-General had to overpower him by issuing the statement which the Auditor-General's Office is neutral during all times.

Certainly there is no reason to think anything amiss as both Pakatan-helmed states as well as BN-led states had received both kudos as well as brickbats in the review report. Of course, BN had the some-more as well as bigger blunders than Pakatan, though which is zero for the former to complain about as it had been governing since Independence as well as since their skills during governance, it is thus not the surprise.

The raising of this issue obviously shows which BN has run out of ideas to conflict Pakatan as well as is therefore rapacious during straws as well as building ideas formed upon fantasy.

Another chairman full of fantasy as well as! romanti c ideas is zero alternative than MCA boss Dr Chua Soi Lek who is living in consistent fear which hudud will be implemented if Pakatan comes to power as well as he has gone upon the warpath opposite hudud.

Suddenly realising which he has shop-worn the Malay support for Umno, he has proposed to put the turn upon his difference by saying which he is not opposite hudud per se though only opposite PAS' version of hudud.

Hudud is hudud as well as there is definitely no such thing as PAS' version of hudud. Obviously, he is now backpedalling by using the foolish forgive to try to dupe the open though he only comes opposite as being silly.

Hadi Awang, the PAS boss who is also the Marang MP, forked out which "it is the good error to label the Islamic law of hudud as 'PAS' hudud" as you do so would proportion to labelling the 5 daily prayers thankful upon the Muslims as "PAS" prayers.

The authority of PAS non-Muslim wing, Hu Pang Chaw, has remarked which interjection to Chua, the non-Muslims have been now interested to find out some-more about hudud. He gave the e.g. of the PAS fundraising cooking in Kota Tinggi, Johor, where 80 out of the 100 tables were purchased by Chinese as well as Indians.

Water crisis

The third e.g. of ants in the pants comes from the BN sovereign supervision itself which keeps insisting which Selangor, Kuala Lumpur as well as Putrajaya will soon be facing the H2O crisis. Hence the need to set up the Langat 2 Water Treatment Plant.

PKR's Gombak MP, Azmin Ali had revealed in Parliament which Selangor had sufficient treated H2O with 10.2% in reserve, though this was disputed by the Energy, Green Technology as well as Water Minister, Peter Chin Fah Kui, who had pronounced which the state's raw H2O haven stood only during 0.97%.
!

Chin, however, pronounced he would propose to the Cabinet for the "laboratory" to be set up for serve talks so which an amicable resolution can be reached by both parties.

There is no pledge which H2O bills will not go up after Langat 2 is constructed.

In Penang, there is all the time the organisation of people demonstrating opposite Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng during the single time or other. Of course, these people have the right to voice out their grouses so zero can be done about which save to say which they have been similar to ants in the pants.

Another organisation of ants is Gerakan which has done silly comments upon DAP veteran Karpal Singh's offer which only the single chairman contests the single seat.

Since March 2008 when BN mislaid its two-thirds majority in Parliament, Pakatan states have never experienced smooth governance, not to mention which Perak was mislaid due to the sinful as well as diabolically-orchestrated power grab.

BN leaders continue to find faults in Pakatan's governance. That is excellent though there have been times when the problems have been hereditary from BN's era.

Many the time too, the Pakatan-helmed states had to compromise these hereditary problems; for instance, the Penang supervision had to recompense an individual named Tan Hak Ju for the sum of RM40 million in the land make the difference while the Selangor supervision had to compromise the complaint of assorted deserted housing projects in Selangor.

One of the deserted housing projects is located in the parliamentary seat of Selayang in Bukit Botak as well as PKR's William Leong has worked tough as well as eventually managed to get the plan starting again.

Another complaint in Selangor is the common ownership development nea! rby the Batu Caves church which was authorized during the time Selangor was still underneath BN.

The BN sovereign government, too, has denied oil kingship payments to Kelantan as well as now the volume has come up to some-more than RM10 billion.

At the finish of the day, it is transparent which BN has continued to throw spanners into the wheels of the Pakatan state governments although compared to Pakatan, BN's errors have been most times worst.

Spendthrift ways

BN's spendthrift ways have been also many.

One of them is the Merdeka SMS (short-message service) to 5.78 million people. Joseph Salang, the Deputy Information, Culture as well as Communications Minister, sensitive Parliament which this was the sponsored project.

Another make the difference is the cost of upkeep for the homes of the budding apportion as well as emissary budding minister.

In the created reply by the Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Nazri Abdul Aziz, to the oral question acted by PAS Padang Terap MP, Mohd Nasir Zakaria, it was settled which upkeep for the budding minister's chateau from 2008 to 2011 amounted to RM6,977,401.80 while for the emissary budding minister's chateau the volume is RM5,117,305.26.

The sensitive electorate must make the preference whether such spendthrift ways can be authorised to go on.
Thus the 13th ubiquitous election is the decider. We will see whether the sky falls upon Pakatan or BN. The power is in our opinion as well as the preference is ours. (FMT)
