Tun Razak Exchange: Another failed mega-project?


DAP national broadside arch Tony Pua has signalled a probability which a rebranded Tun Razak Exchange (TRX) may finish up as an additional unsuccessful mega-project.

Despite Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razaksayingthe TRX, before known as a Kuala Lumpur International Financial District (KLIFD), would be "more inclusive", Pua argued which it has in actuality became "more exclusive" with a rebranding exercise.

NONE"Nothing in (Najib's) speech indicated how a mega-project has become anything some-more inclusive," Pua(right)said in a statement today.

"Instead, he hinted during how a project will become even some-more exclusive with some-more betrothed incentives to those intending to participate in a project."

He explained which a existing taxation incentives have been "unheard of" as good as show how hard it will be to govern a project.

The guarantee of even some-more incentives would suggest which even a primary incentives have been insufficient, said Pua.

He forked out that, underneath a KLFID, competent companies already enjoyed taxation grant for 10 years, as good as alternative benefits such as stamp duty grant on loan as good as use agreements.
