MIC says trying to get more Indians into matriculation


KUALA LUMPUR, June 10 MIC will continue discussing with a Education Ministry on increasing a series of Indian students with Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) qualification fasten a matriculation programme, pronounced celebration president Datuk Seri G. Palanivel.
Palanivel (picture), who is additionally minister in a Prime Minister's Department, pronounced if some-more Indian students could join a matriculation programme, some-more of them would be means to serve their studies during a public higher learning institutions.
He pronounced some 3,000 Indian students had practical for a 2012-2013 matriculation programme though only 1,500 were accepted.
"So far, 750 Indian students with SPM have been offering matriculation programmes during government colleges and a rest of a vacancies will be filled within this month.
"Those who destroy to get matriculation places are suggested to appeal or encouraged to investigate for a STPM or opt for courses during a polytechnics," he pronounced after attending a eucharist prayers for a Royal Malaysian Air Force Sivan church in Sungai Besi, here, today.
After a ceremony, Palanivel handed a coupon for RM50,000 to a church committee chairman, Major (Rtd) S. Sritharan.
