Pakatan wants Selangor to delay polls


The inhabitant Pakatan Rakyat leadership council has recommended the Selangor counterpart not dissolve the Selangor legislative assembly parallel with the 13th Parliamentary election.

NONEAt the press conference after the council met during Parliament today, PKRde factoleader Anwar Ibrahim pronounced the preference was based upon the Election Commission's (EC) disaster to safeguard the firmness of the electoral roll.

"We recommend that the Selangor not hold state-level elections concurrently... We want to wait until the hurl is cleaned," pronounced Anwar.

Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak is expected to call for snap polls in Jun or September.

However, the five Pakatan-held states are not obliged to dissolve their respective legislative assemblies until their term expires in March subsequent year.

Selangor, that has been obviously identified as BN's categorical target, has gifted anexponential growthin the series of voters given 2008, particularly in farming areas.

This, along with claims of the Selangor-widecitizenship-for-votes scam, has fuelled suspicion among Pakatan component parties.
