COLOMBO: A hen constructed the live chicky in the weird bieing born during the poultry plantation in central Sri Lanka, the veterinary surgeon pronounced upon Friday.
The vet in charge of the town of Welimada, P R Yapa, pronounced the egg appeared to have incubated inside the hen for 21 days as well as the hen died when it gave bieing born to the chick.
"I had only heard about such aberrations, but we was able to see it for myself today," doctor Yapa told AFP when contacted by telephone.
He pronounced the free-range plantation owners alerted the local veterinary authorities after the highly unusual materialisation as well as he achieved the autopsy examination to endorse the cause of death.
"There were lacerations as well as the tear of the reproductive tract which caused the death," Yapa said. "The baby is doing well."
