Lessons of history

The Malaysian Insider - No need to move up BN's past mistakes, says Muhyiddin.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin pronounced although the budding apportion admitted Barisan Nasional's (BN) mistakes, "there is no need to list out the weaknesses; which is in the past".

"What is some-more critical is in front, in the subsequent 10, 20 years as well as as the budding apportion said, you have been ready to urge ourselves as well as urge upon what you have already achieved such as the national transformation programmes, which includes the economy, government, politics, rural issues as well as brand new measures taken by the budding apportion as well as the government, which have an effective impact.

Sorry, my dear Tan Sri, you strongly disagree, since George Santayana advised us which "Those who cannot recollect the past have been cursed to repeat it".

And that's precisely the reason why you contingency recollect the past, as well as the critical lessons of story - an e.g. upon the tellurian scale would be which of the Yanks not remembering its humongous inapplicable designation of Vietnam as well as repeating it in Iraq, Afghanistan and, if the Israelis have their way, Iran.

Of course you needn't take hate with everything unsatisfactory which you recall, but when there exists in the national politial landscape the transparent picture, pattern as well as probability of non-repentance, stability lack of transparency, accountability as well as proper governance, then you should, as distant as the approved process allows us, not assent the destiny to become an additional duplicate o! f the papa st.

Reminder: "Those who cannot recollect the past have been cursed to repeat it" wak! akaka.
