HRP 'very confident' of winning Kota Raja seat



The Human Rights Party (HRP) is "very confident" of wresting the Kota Raja Parliamentary chair from Pakatan Rakyat during the next ubiquitous election.

NONEHRPpro-temsecretary-general P Uthayakumar declared Kota Raja as the front-line chair during the choosing fund-raising cooking final night in Kuala Lumpur.

When contacted for details, Uthayakumar said HRP was confident of garnering 90 percent of the Indian opinion in Kota Raja, which has 71,887 sum voters, of which Indians form 28.3 percent.

He combined which HRP is also targeting 33 percent of the Chinese vote, which he believes would be enough to waves the celebration through.

"Assuming which Pakatan claimant gets 70 percent of the Malay votes, though Hindraf claimant gets the quarter of the Chinese votes as well as 90 percent of the Indian votes, you have been going to corner out Pakatan by the couple of hundred votes," Uthayakumar toldMalaysiakinitoday.

Kota Raja is the racially-mixed urban constituency. Malay electorate make up 47.8 percent whilst Chinese electorate makes up 23.2 percent. The chair is now held by PAS women's wing emissary arch Dr Siti Mariah Mahmud.

'Send Hindraf to Parliament'

Uthayakumar said HRP was capable of attracting 90 percent of the Indian electorate since many consequential issues inspiring the Indian community stays unaddressed.
