Jamil Khir: Only Jakim, religious councils allowed to issue halal logo

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 5 Only a Malaysian Islamic Development Department (Jakim) as well as state eremite councils will be allowed to emanate a standardised halal logo, pronounced Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom.

He pronounced a same order applied for premises regulating old halal logos, as well as which they had apply for brand brand brand new ones as well.

Under a Act, people found causing "confusion" or "misrepresenting" a halal trademark or products can be fined an volume not surpassing RM1 million, locked up for not some-more than three years, or both.
