Intelligence led to arrest of suspected Sabah militants, says IGP

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov eighteen The arrest of 13 suspected militants in Sabah earlier this week was the outcome of both inner and unfamiliar comprehension received by the police, Tan Sri Ismail Omar was reported by Bernama Online as observant today.

The Inspector-General of Police (IGP) told the headlines portal he had acted as soon as the military had received the comprehension because it was an emanate of security which could presumably threaten alternative countries in the region.

When asked to comment upon the statement by Sabah PAS commissioner Mohd Aminuddin Aling in which he asked the military to clarify the resources surrounding the arrests, Ismail stressed which the move was the pre-emptive magnitude conducted in the seductiveness of national security.

The IGP announced yesterday which 7 Malaysians and 6 foreigners were arrested in Sabah upon Monday underneath Section 73(1) of the Internal Security Act to thwart their alleged efforts during reviving the militant movement in the state.

The military have not disclosed the temperament of the militant movement.

Bernama Online reported, however, an English every day has linked the people to the Abu Omar group, which is better well known as the Kaltim organisation which uses Kalimantan as its base.

According to the daily, the organisation was regulating Tawau as the transit indicate to amass firearms procured from south Philippines.
