Bekir has RM9mil in cash, unit trust, court told

Sarawak arch minister's son Mahmud Abu Bekir Taib holds over 9 million ringgit in cash as well as section certitude accounts, a Kuala Lumpur Syariah High Court was told today.

The volume includes RM4.4 million in a CIMB current account, RM3 million in a bound deposit with a same bank, as well as RM1.3 million in his EPF as well as over RM500,000 in ASN as well as ASB section certitude accounts.

Making a revelations were witnesses called by a plaintiff, Bekir's ex-wife Shahnaz Abdul Majid who is suing him for her share of income warranted during their marriage.
