Million Dollar Bribes Disguised As Donations UMNOs Ever Changing Stories!

Thanks for a RM40 million my lad. Of course, zero compared to a outrageous joist concessions as well as barging monopolies which you have offering your family. you hope you have been still making regular payments to my sons as well as keeping up a rental upon which house in Perth which you asked you to organise? Remember these have been all ideally correct domestic donations as well as you am no longer denying you do business!
Where was Michael Chia upon 14th Aug 2008 ?
UMNO have combined so many contradictions with their various excuses which they contingency right away produce a little evidence.
The story proposed behind upon which date when it was reported which joist merchant Michael Chia had been arrested with RM40million in his suitcase, upon his way to Sabah from Hong Kong.
It combined a news charge as well as a good series of denials. Chia denied he had been arrested or which a income was to do with him as well as Musa Aman denied he had anything to do with Michael Chia.
But now, suddenly, after 4 years of these denials, UMNO's Mr Nazri has capitulated as well as certified which after all a income was being sent by Chia to Musa. However not in a personal capacity though as a "perfectly proper" domestic 'donation'.
Come on! Why didn't Musa, Mr Nazri as well as BN/UMNO usually contend so in a initial place?
Instead of playing President Clinton as well as saying as recently as April this year:
"I have had no commercial operation exchange whatsoever with an individual declared Michael Chia"[Statementby Musa Aman 12/4/12]
Why didn't Musa usually say:!
"Sure, you know Michael. He regularly gets joist licences from Yayasan Sabah, of which you am Chairman. Michael totally openly as well as appropriately connected RM40million over to my party, of which you am Chairman, behind in 2008. We really appreciated his upon top of board donation. Feel free to demeanour during a accounts?"[Musa Aman did NOT contend this]
Changing stories
Consider all a missed opportunities Musa/UMNO have had to clarify a situation. The detain was initial reported Way behind in 2008. This was how a UMNO ancillary Star Newspaper put it during a time:
For 'businessman, counsel as well as top state politician' read Michael Chia, Richard Christopher Barnes as well as Musa Aman!
This was a perfect point during which Musa as well as Chia could have declared which there had been an hapless inapplicable designation as well as which this was certainly not a box of income laundering which Hong Kong authorities had been monitoring for 3 years. It was usually a subject of Chia popping a RM40 million 'donation' in to UMNO's account, utterly upon top of board, usually as people do!
But, instead they proposed denying which Chia had anything to do with this income or in truth any commercial operation or domestic exchange during all with Musa! Here was Chia's matter to a UMNO supportingDaily Expressback in Aug 2008, usually a couple of days after a story broke:
"No commercial operation or domestic excha! nge with Musa", claimed Chia behind in 2008
"In a short statement, Saturday, Chia pronounced he had zero to do with a alleged S$ sixteen million, adding he additionally had no domestic or commercial operation tie with Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman.
"I have no commercial operation or domestic exchange with a Chief Minister as well as you am additionally not his nominee."
Chia pronounced he would be asking his counsel to demeanour during a proclamation of a ungrounded allegations to clear his name"[Daily Express 24/8/2008]
Yet, here you have been 4 years later with UMNO right away openly admitting which Michael Chia did after all have a RM40million/$ 16million benefaction to Sabah UMNO, which of march is Chaired by Musa Aman. There was a domestic tie after all.
Remember, right up till final week Musa was still claiming he had "no commercial operation association whatsoever" with Michael Chia.
Information they could not deny
So, what done them shift their strange stories? After all it seemed for a couple of years which a initial version would suffice. The Attorney General Gani Patail (Musa's relative) had refused to offer inter-country cooperation to Hong Kong as well as by 2011 a ICAC 3 year statutory reduction upon such investigations ran out as well as it dropped a case(It is usually BN's Mr Nazri who is claiming a ICAC "cleared" Mr Chia, since a ICAC has nonetheless to comment).
But afterwards a vast body of evidence, including Chia's bank statements came in to a possession of Sarawak Report. We have upheld this material upon to a Swiss Authorites, who have right away opened a rapist investigation in to their inhabitant bank UBS, who was doing Chia's Hong Kong bank accounts.
We have additionally published a good understanding of a evidence, which shows which Michael Chia was receivi! ng outra geous sums of income from companies owned by joist tycoons as "deposits for logging concessions" as well as additionally which Chia was paying out income from a same accounts to Musa's own dual sons who were study in Australia.
Can UMNO clarify either it regards these payments to Musa's sons as "political donations"?
Forged?
Musa during initial attempted to insist a papers were forged as well as one after another to lay which he had zero to do with Chia. However, dual justice cases as well as a Swiss proclamation which their investigations included Musa Aman done this position increasingly untenable.
The initial justice box involves UBS in Singapore. Giving evidence, a bank concurred which it has in truth done payments to Musa Aman's sons, out of a very accounts controlled by Michael Chia, which you had revealed, as well as for a same sums you indicated upon a very same days.
The second justice box is in Sandakan. It is a charge opposite Michael Chia, who is indicted by a joist tycoon Agus Hassan of suggesting behind in 2004 which in order to benefit a joist benefaction he would have to compensate income to UMNO, since Chia was a "middle man" who could withhold a benefaction if he did not.
This box destroyed Chia's explain which he has zero to do with UMNO or governing body or in truth which he does not work for Musa Aman.
Evidence in a Sandakan Court Case shows which 4 years prior to a Hong Kong detain Chia was indicted of raising income for UMNO in lapse for logging concessions, behaving as Musa's center man. This tycoon was angry since he says Chia took a little of a 'donation' for himself.
So, since it has right away been proved which Chia was giving income to Mu! sa as we ll as it has been shown additionally which he was behaving as a middle-man for Musa over joist concessions, a story about Musa not doing commercial operation with Chia became unsustainable.
Hence UMNO's volte face (complete shift of story) this week. They have been right away admitting a income did come from Chia as well as it did go to Musa. However, their new excuse is this was merely a "perfectly proper" RM40million 'donation' to UMNO.
But, how can any of this be 'perfectly proper' when Michael Chia has been in a taking of joist concessions from Musa as well as identified as a "middle man" for Musa in handing out joist concessions during Yayasan Sabah?
Furthermore, Chia's father has additionally been handed a monopoly barging contract for years!
Does a bribe or kickback turn ideally correct when it is a domestic donation? If so what is a excuse for Chia'sstanding payments to a Chief Minister's sons from a same accounts?
Over right away to Musa's queue of panicking cyber-troopers, who wish readers to cover their eyes as well as block their ears as well as chant, instead of confronting facts.
Cartoonist Zunar has his take upon Musa!

RM40 million VS USD39 million

Top priority is given in tackling the right of ownership on Native Customary Rights (NCR) land and to find the best solutions to problems to protect the interest of the natives.

Chief Minister Datuk Seri Musa Aman said every NCR claim received by the government would be studied as deeply as possible to confirm its legitimacy.

Anonymous said...

Stop making so much fuss about this.

Anonymous said...

“I will ensure priority will be given to looking after, preserving and protecting the interest of the natives,” he told Datuk Nilwan Kabang (Umno-Kunak) at the State Assembly, today.

Musa, who is also the State Finance Minister, said 890,626.47 hectares or 45 per cent of the total government land had been given ownership in Sabah through five methods, including Native Title (NT), equity and gazetting.

Anonymous said...

In this regard, he said, 17,501 applications for land were processed last year and 6,872 were backed for approval through a meeting of the District Land Utilisation Committee (LUC), with 6,218 applications under Native Title.

Anonymous said...

As of August 2012, 35,350 applications for land were processed, and 10,540 including 9,922 under NT were supported for approval via a meeting of LUC.

He said, NCR claims could still be forwarded under Section 14 to the Assistant Collector of Land Revenue (PPHT) although the Sabah Land Ordinance had been legislated on Dec 13, 1930. At the same time, the state government would continue to strive to increase land ownership by Sabah-born through other simpler and effective means.

Anonymous said...

He said, until December 2011, the state government through the Land and Survey Department had registered 348,652 land ownerships. Of the total, 190,452 were NT and given to applicants through the land application approval process.

Anonymous said...

“This is 55 per cent of the overall number of land ownerships registered in Sabah. A total of 1,970,961 hectares had been given ownerships, and, of the total, 487,680 hectares were under NT which is 24.7 per cent of the land ownerships registered in Sabah,” he said.

Anonymous said...

In rejecting accusations saying the state government sidelined claims for NCR and discriminated against giving land rights to Sabah-born, he said the government was always open to criticisms, views and constructive suggestions to boost the delivery system from time to time.

Anonymous said...

He said the Forestry Department had also been ordered to cease the new delineation process of the forest reserves in several areas resided and worked by residents to allow investigations to be carried out on their status.

Anonymous said...

He said the state government was also planning to issue communal grants in Kota Marudu (17,000 acres), Pintas (10,000 acres), Tongod (15,000 acres) and Semporna (5,117.12 acres).

He said, the state government, in the State Assembly sitting in April 2010, had dissolved 24,563 hectares from the Sook Plain forest reserve and Mandalom through a land swap with government land to enable communal grants to be issued.

Anonymous said...

“Until December 2011, 36,486.43 hectares had been and are being developed with agricultural plantation in a smart partnership between government agencies and in-situ Sabahans,” he said.

He said since 2000 until today, there were 41 cases involving 1,243 claims by Sabahans filed in court which involved NCR claim issues, of which 10 claims were rejected involving 1,021 claimants while only four claims were allowed by the court involving 17 claimants, and five cases involving 17 claimants opted for consent judgements.

Anonymous said...

He said, four cases involving five claimants were withdrawn and the remaining 18 cases, involving 183 claimants, had not been decided by the court.

Anonymous said...

In the meantime, he said 615 customary land demand cases had been registered whereby 207 were recognised, 70 rejected and 338 still being investigated.

Anonymous said...

In this regard, he said the state government pledged to speed up the investigating process of cases which were still being investigated by using the Native Customary Rights Fast Unit (PANTAS) especially in the rural areas under the Sabah Land Ordinance.

Anonymous said...

He also reminded that NCR issues should not be manipulated because it touched on the interest on the natives who should be supported by all parties to ensure such issues could be tackled and properly solved.
