Kedah MCA chief denies backing hudud law


Kedah MCA arch Chong Itt Chew has denied aSinar Harianreport which quoted him observant which he was supportive of hudud law.

Chong claimed which in a phone interview with a Malay daily, a issue of hudud law was never raised.

"They never overwhelmed about hudud, nothing was ever brought up, we am really disappointed with their report," he pronounced when contacted.

Chong pronounced he had merely responded to former premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad proposal for PAS to join forces with Umno underneath BN.

"My matter was really clear, any domestic celebration which wish to join BN will need a clerance of BN top care as well as they must follow a BN constitution as well as all criteria set by BN," he said.

He reiterated which a celebration together with in Kedah is fiercely opposite hudud law.

"All a while we have released so many statements which we have been opposite a implementation of hudud law in Kedah.

"I am strongly opposite hudud law as well as we follow our MCA boss Dr Chua Soi Lek's stance - which is opposite hudud law," he said.
