Nazri: Lawyer with gov't fiat can prosecute AG


A putting in service lawyer with the special fiat from the supervision can take to court the attorney-general in cases which concerned him personally, said de facto Law Minister Nazri Aziz.

"In prosecutions opposite the AG as an individual, he cannot be prosecuted by those operative under him, as it is difficult for his subordinates to do so. Under the constitution, the fiat can be since to an individual, the putting in service lawyer for example, to prosecute," said Nazri.

He was replying to the question from Puchong parliamentarian Gobind Singh Deo during Question Time in the Dewan Rakyat today, who had asked him how would the complaint which concerned the AG be handled.

Gobind was referring to allegations raised by former KL CID chief Mat Zain Ibrahim in the new Malaysiakini talk which the stream the AG was apparently concerned in self-denial the crime case involving the chief apportion from being prosecuted.
