PM Najib: EDL toll charge decision in 2 weeks

JOHOR BARU, March 9 Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak pronounced currently his government will have an announcement upon a Eastern Dispersal Link (EDL) toll charges in a fortnight, The Star reported.
There was an outcry when it emerged by a media report that a nearly finished EDL will force motorists travelling to Singapore via a Johor Causeway to compensate almost 5 times a benefaction RM2.90.
Motorists entering a Customs, Immigration as well as Quarantine (CIQ) Complex without regulating a 8.1km EDL will have to compensate a due RM6.20 as a toll booths will be located during a CIQ.
The change will see motorists travelling to Singapore profitable RM15.30 per day.
The RM1.1 billion EDL, joining a North-South Expressway to a Johor CIQ, was developed by MRCB Bhd.
