Is this 1Malaysia?

Yesterday, a clergyman from Penang phoned me yesterday sounding upset.

Apparently, a couple of Muslim pupils had obtained Deepavali cards to send to their friends as well as their tuition teacher.

A teacher, however, found a students with a cards as well as confiscated a nod cards as well as passed it to a religious teacher.

The pupils were told which it was opposite their sacrament to send such nod cards as it amounted to celebrating a festival. They were warned opposite such practices.

I wasn't certain quite what to do as a clergyman endangered had requested anonymity as well as told me not to mention a name of a school.

So we consulted a devoted Muslim friend of mine. He was horrified which such a thing had happened as well as told me we should write about it so which others have been wakeful which pupils have been being taught such things in schools by overzealous teachers as well as to passage such tendencies in a bud.

Mind you, this can happen in any sacrament when there is miss of high regard for 'The Other' as well as religious zealousness is carried a step to far.

Perhaps, for a good of such teachers, a Education Department or a political care would like to clarify what they think of pupils sending nod cards to their friends of alternative faiths.
