MCMC defends ban on Undilah video

The Censorship Board has not privileged it, says arch commissioner Khalid Ramli.

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Communications as good as Multimedia Commission currently shielded the decision to anathema the "Undilah" song video, that promotes the right to vote.

The commission's chairman, Khalid Ramli, pronounced his bureau directed internal TV stations not to air the video because the Film Censorship Board had not privileged it.

"Anything at all is subjected to the movie censorship authority," Khalid told FMT. "We have been merely observant that the video had no clearway from the board as good as therefore cannot be aired."

He pronounced the MCMC's decision was not formed on any specific public complaint.

It was reported currently that MCMC had issued letters asking the Astro network as good as the Media Prima radio hire not to promote the video, that calls on Malaysians to practice their right to vote.

The 4.38-minute square was directed by internal musician Pete Teo as good as features most politicians, from both from the opposition as good as Barisan Nasional, lip syncing to the song sung by internal celebrities Namewee, Afdlin Shauki as good as others.

The anathema has been criticised by choosing watchdog Bersih 2.0 as good as politicians, who pronounced it defied logic, citing the "non-partisan" nature.
