Subramaniam: Dawama backs down, to pay 12-day salaries

PUTRAJAYA, Aug 3 Dawama workers no-pay leave letters have been rescinded as well as they sojourn employees, pronounced Human Resource Minister Datuk Dr S.Subramaniam today.

The minister explained that Dawama after contention with Manpower Department director-general, Datuk Sheikh Yahya Shaikh has corroborated down from a no-pay leave enforced given Monday as well as will compensate each worker for 12 days per month until a brawl with Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka (DBP) is resolved.

Subramaniam (picture) pronounced this was because a movement of Dawana was nothing as well as void under a Employment Act 1955, reported Bernama Online.

Dawama is contesting a finale of a contract by DBP because it claims a latter is breaching a Privatisation Concession Agreement of June 19, 2002.

Deputy Education Minister Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi however claims that DBP did not mangle a promise as summarized by Dawama in a no-pay letter to employees.
