A shortlived engagement with a new YB

YB RafiziYang Bitchy. Some Malaysians have blackened out their Twitter profiles in support of Anwar Ibrahim's refusal to accept defeat in PRU13. The blackout equates to "death": Democracy (in Malaysia) is Dead. So when we saw a "blackout" upon Rafizi Ramli's twitter form as he was happily embracing all a well-wishes for winning a Pandan parliamentary seat as well as upon becoming a first-time YB, we thought: Irony. So we decided to ask a Yang Berhormat: You think you'd be where we have been if democracy was really dead?

Ouch! Didn't know he was so touchy.

It wasn't my intention to rain upon his parade. we just could not stand a pomposity of some people. Democracy is still alive in Malaysia though it is during risk. Even someone like Tunku Aziz is in jeopardy with a legal case for bravely commenting upon his former party's bungle (the DAP condemns others all a time!). Democracy will end up passed when we concede people to take to a streets to topple a government, which is what Rafizi's party appears to be advocating ...
