1,300 to take part in Earth Hour bicycle ride in Shah Alam

SHAH ALAM, Mar 19 The Earth Hour debate to be held upon Mar 23, has attracted 1,300 participants who will cycle 10km from Dataran Shah Alam, as the mystic gesture to symbol the celebrations pronounced Shah Alam Datuk Bandar Datuk Mohd Jaafar Mohd Atan.

He pronounced all participants will cycle around Shah Alam during the Earth Hour night ride to showcase their adore for nature, environment, healthy lifestyle as well as save electricity.

The programme that is organized by the Shah Alam City Council (MBSA) with benefit from other related agencies, is to create recognition about the environment, he told reporters, here, today.

Mohd Jaafar pronounced all residents in Shah Alam have been urged to switch off lights during their respective homes from 8.30pm to 9.30pm upon the pronounced day.

He pronounced the main buildings in Section 9, Section thirteen as well as Section 14, had agreed to switch off the lights during their premises as the symbol of support for the campaign.

Mohd Jaafar earlier perceived the coupon for RM40,000 from Worldwide Holding Bhd to assist the campaign.

The Earth Hour debate is an general annual eventuality organized by the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) to combat tellurian warming. Bernama
