A inhabitant body representing the evangelical Christian village has urged Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak to practise what he has preached upon moderation, following the threat to bake the Malay-language Bible.
National Evangelical Christian Fellowship chairperson Reverend Eu Hong Seng pointed out which Najib had recently instituted the global movement of the moderates.
"Such the noble cause deserves the support. It is time you put into practice in the own nation what you have so loudly preached to the world," Eu pronounced in the statement today.
He stressed which the church in Malaysia, though concerned, is in no way intimidated by the supposed eventuality in Butterworth, Penang, during 10 am upon Sunday.
"We are the peace-loving people who will continue to urge for the good being of the great country," he said.
"This hapless proposal ... serves as the serious reminder! to all Malaysians to be more totalled in the responses the next time you listen to of some irrational people in the West wanting to bake alternative people's scriptures, because you as well have the satisfactory share of irrational people."
According to Christian Federation of Malaysia chairperson, Bishop Ng Moon Hing(left), the church in Butterworth had perceived the 'notice' about the ! supposed event. Members of the open were invited to attend.
Rev John Kennady of St Marks Anglican church lodged apolice reportat the Butterworth police station during 3pm yesterday.
The 'notice' emerged just days after Perkasa chief Ibrahim Ali called upon Muslims to burnthe Malay-language Bible following claims which copies had been distributed to Muslims outward the propagandize compound.
Penang Perkasa hasdeniedany connection with the supposed eventuality and pronounced it supports the probe, whilst Ibrahim has pronounced he hadnot meant to offendthe Christian community. Read More @ Source
