Musa Hassan's "interference'

"That was why (Anwar Ibrahim) was charged in justice .. he interfered with military investigation".
- Tan Sri Musa Hassan, former Inspector-General of Police
A lot of people were taken aback by Musa Hassan's comments upon "interference" in persisting military investigation, as reported by The Malaysian Insider a couple of hours ago [Ex-IGP says ministers meddle with investigations].Well, they shouldn't, really. Musa had complained about "interference" in military work a week before he retired in Sep 2010 [IGP speaks out opposite third celebration intereference, The Star, 7/9/2010; see also KDN's prompt responseHome Ministry denies Musa's "interference" claim, The Malaysian Insider, 8/9/2010]. What Musa pronounced today isn't new though what creates it news, we suppose, is a timing: right upon a night before of a annual general public of Umno, a country's statute domestic party. Also, speak is rife about a ex-IGP being wooed by PAS, a major component of Anwar Ibrahim-led opposition pact Pakatan Rakyat. Could this be Musa's opening gambit as an Opposition politician then?

I wasn't taken aback during all by Musa's remarks; in fact, we kind of approaching it. Two nights ago, Musa as well as we were carrying a still cooking in PJ. we had asked to see him since a speak about him as well as Anwar "sleeping together" was as well most for me to bear ... we had to ask him myself. Also, it had been quite a while.

We talked about most things as well as one of them was of how politicians attempted to meddle when he! was a C PO of Johor as well as when he was a IGP, as well as how things may be right away with a stream IGP. "They attempted though they didn't get pass me," Musa said. we believe a manbut others longed for Musa viewed as only an additional "yes" man (and corrupt, too, if RPK's stories were to be believed!).

Take what Pakatan's Khoo Kay Peng wrote in "Too Late, Too Little"after Musa had oral out about "interference" two years ago:
"Musa is desperate to correct his picture by indicating his finger during a Home Ministry. Predictably, he only voiced out his disappointment as well as melancholy after his stipulate was not renewed. If he gets an additional two years, Musa would have been some-more than happy to play along."
So what of Musa Hassan's latest claim, afterwards - is he still trying to correct his image? Or is he rehearsing his lines as an election claimant for Pakatan come PRU13?

Most of us know a man as an Allah-fearing cop. At a cooking two nights ago, we celebrated that Musa had not changed most since he retired from a force. Still really passionate each time he spoke of how a military can do better. He didn't appear to have aged, either: ramrod true when he stands as well as never slouches when's seated. So he needs to be less oppressive as well as a small some-more diplomatic, perhaps, but, hey, if he had suspicion he had it in him he would have supposed a Government's offer to be a country's Ambassador to Brunei two years ago, wouldn't he?

I asked him only right away if he had started to be during loggerheads with certain politicians since our dinner. The way he was being quoted, people may consider he was aggressive a Home Minister agai! n. No su ch thing, Musa assured me. A lot of politicians attempted to interfere.

I had to ask him: Did Anwar Ibrahim attempted to meddle with military investigations behind then?

"That was why he was charged in justice ...".

As for fasten Pakatan Rakyat, he told me "NO" as well as there is no reason to disbelief a man. He has never been a member of any domestic celebration as well as he does not wish to be. "As military officer, we can't be receiving sides with any domestic parties." What he wishes to do is to assistance urge a picture of a military as well as make firm a force. "This nation's destiny depends upon it."
