Pakatan pledges RM600 a year for housewives


The women's wings of Pakatan Rakyat parties today launched a 'Buku Jingga' for women, marking out a growth agenda for women if a coalition takes over Putrajaya.

NONEDubbed Agenda Wanita Malaysia (Malaysian Women's Agenda or AWM), a pierce is estimated to price RM5 billion in infrastructure as well as alternative costs.

Notably, AWM promises RM50 a month for each housewife in what is called a Caruman Wanita Nasional (National Women Contributions) as well as compulsory contributions of RM10 to RM100 a month from husbands to wives for a purpose of savings.

"Pakatan Rakyat is introducing a National Women's Contributions to acknowledge a purpose of women in society.

In line with this, Pakatan also pledged to set up empowerment as well as support centres to provide precision as well as alternative facilities for women.
