Budget hotels not cause of vice, says Selangor exco

SHAH ALAM, March 26 Budget hotels do not cause clamp activities, Selangor senior manager councillor Ronnie Liu pronounced today.
The Pandamaran assemblyman done this statement today in light of a "mushrooming" of bill hotels in a state, which have been described by Semenyih representative Datuk Johan Abdul Aziz as "suspicious in need and approval".
"Human weakness is a cause of clamp activities. It (vice) does not stem from bill hotels," Liu(picture)toldThe Malaysian Insideroutside a Selangor State Assembly here.
"Even houses can be converted in to dens for clamp activities," he said.
Liu explained which a enlarge in bill hotels "is a direction in many states, not usually in Selangor".
"There is a large direct for affordable hotels. Not everybody can means to stay at a five-star hotel," he said.
"Small towns do not need large hotels, they usually need bill hotels. Previously, these hotels were well known as guest houses," he added.
Liu concurred which a swell in bill hotels is raising eyebrows, but pronounced a authorities have been laying down belligerent manners to ensure they don't end up as a matter for amicable ills.
"We will leave it to a internal city councils to take movement (against unlicensed operators)," he said.
"I have seen a discipline myself, they have been very strict."
